Service employee arrived on time and tested for AMP draw and found no problem. Just like a car, the furnace did not make all the noise my wife and I heard the evening before while the employee was present. The furnace has not a problem since his visit. I also use Legacy for annual cleaning of my furnace and A/C. I've been very happy with their service.

I was very pleased with the overall price, work, friendliness and professionalism of Legacy representatives. Everything went very smoothly. It was everything I expected it to be.

Contractor was very responsive, punctual, and professional throughout the consultation, purchasing, and installation process. I'm choosing N/A on my review for price because I did not obtain additional quotes because I wanted to get the job done quickly, and as impressed as I was with their reputation (from other Angie's List reviewers), my own experience with the tech who did my initial consultation, and the product we were getting. The price seemed reasonable enough for the replacement and removal of the two items mentioned above, and they also replaced our thermostat with a programmable Honeywell unit. I have since had no issues with the furnace. I would likely use them again.

UPDATE: The install of the dehumidifier had to be modified. Original plan called for internal drain but it was not possible so they installed a drain to the exterior which fed into a French drain. When we began using the unit in the winter of 2014, the outside line froze up and we had water backing up onto the floor. Legacy then installed heat tape on the drain pipe. This eventually fried and became a fire hazard (see pics). Then they wanted to try to run the drain inside again and again determined it would not work. They suggested upgrades to the external drain. We eventually decided, after much back & forth, to request a return & refund on the dehumidifier. They agreed with this and were prompt with the check and picking up the unit. Overall, I think they tried to handle the situation but had gotten in over their heads. Fortunately we were all able to back out of a bad situation.

. The air ducts are installed differently now and through no fault of my system it can not properly cool my upstairs to my satisfaction. Steve and his partner (Darren I believe) walked all through the house and discovered part of the problem is my cold air return in two of the downstairs rooms. He advised covering them up, as it helped the upstairs work and would help my cooling. We have talked about a new system that would help in this matter. He is going to get me a estimate. He did not try to upsell me, he actually said try this and I think you will see an improvement. I appreciated their honesty and their ethics. I will call them back again, and I await his estimate to make a decision. There was no charge for today's visit.

They scheduled the service quickly, called before arriving and completed the service in a friendly and time manner. We were quite pleased with the service technician and his work.

Arrived for initial appointment on time. Listened to current issue. Listened to expectations. Made a proposal that I was not completely comfortable with. Revised the proposal to my expectations. The revised proposal met my budget and performance requirements. Installed on time and per the requirements. Legacy scheduled a future follow up appointment to confirm install at no cost. Home run. HVAC is not all about the equipment, the quality of install is a huge part of the ultimate performance. The install was on time. The AC is running perfectly and the equipment warranty is just what I asked for. I thought Legacy was fair and prompt.

Good job on finding the problem with the AC after we waited out the hot humid holiday weekend. The tech fixed everything in a timely manner. I was quoted a price of $69 trip charge + parts, but was told that if we used a credit card to pay for repairs they would add on another 3% handling charge. I didn't think they could do this and am going to check with my bank about this. The thing I don't like is spending all my cash on an unbudgeted repair just to save some money. I don't like places that want extra for credit card convenance. The big surprise was the bill it's self. The price for a new coil switch was $150 for the part. I saved the old part and looked it up online and found the cost to be between $30 and $40. On top of this everyone wants to sell you a service plan that will not cover the cost of any repair. This is a problem I could not have fixed myself but still don't like being taken advantage of.

I had called Legacy because of all the positive reviews on Angie's List. Steve, their salesman, came out the next day. Prior to getting a quote, I looked online for questions to ask about installing a new furnace and air conditioning. Steve was on time, courteous, friendly and professional. He answered some of my questions before I even brought them up. I mentioned that we were having a party in a few days and he said he would send one of his technicians over to see if he could get us air for the weekend (our air stopped working the previous day). He said there wouldn't be any charge, just wanted us to have a nice party. That surprised me, a company that actually cares about their customers and wanting them to be comfortable, not just how much money they can make and be done with us. Dennis, their service tech, again was like Steve. On time, friendly, courteous and professional. After some time, he determined that there was a power line underground that was not brining 220 into the house. AEP came out the next day and got us power again, but no air. Dennis came back out and after considerable time, he was not able to get the air working. The low voltage into the house short circuited the system. I said I appreciate him trying, but did not want him to stay any longer. Refusing to give up, he was able to override the system, not sure how, and got us air for the weekend. He was almost apologetic because the fan would have to run continuously for the next few days until the new system was installed. Install day. John and Mike showed up on time and like Steve and Dennis, friendly, courteous and professional. They said it would take about six hours or so. I left for work, returned for lunch, and was just able to talk a bit about family and such. Just genuinely nice guys that I felt comfortable with not having to be home during the install. They cleaned everything up, explained the system, and were done in 6 hours. And cannot forget about Dawn in the office. Same as the above on how she dealt with me on the phone. You can just tell in her voice that she had bright, cheerful attitude when dealing with people. Like everyone, I hated to spend the money, but at least Legacy made the entire experience much less painful than it could have been.

They were fantastic. They came when they said they were going to come, and did an outstanding job while they were here. Because this is a restaurant kitchen, the lack of AC in the back was impacting my business as well as my employees. They were able to expedite the repair service which lessened d the amount of time the restaurant had to be closed. In summary, the work was done early and under budget. Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for what they did for me, my staff and my business.

Even though my furnace and central air conditioning system were 23 years old, Steve said I didn't really need a new furnace at the time. Every other company tried to sell me both a new furnace and central air system. Due to its age, I decided to get both a new furnace and central air unit. Legacy gave me a good price, and they installed both 2 days after I decided to go with their offer. The crew installed everything within 1 day and they were polite, answered all my questions, and cleaned up everything at the end of the day. Everything is working great. I feel that Legacy is an honest and trustworthy company and would recommend them to anyone.

They were better priced than another business that handles Rheem furnaces and they suggested a two stage where the other vender did mentioned. They were able to install on short notice ( 1 day). They found and corrected problems introduced by the other vendor. The installers were very knowledgable and efficient. The city building inspector was impressed with the work.

Very professional. I have used them about twice a year to service the air conditioning and furnace. This particular time they were replacing the water heater. I would absolutely use them in the future.

During our routine seasonal furnace inspection (performed by a different company), it was determined that our furnace had a cracked heat exchanger. The furnace was just shy of 19 years old. I contacted multiple companies to give estimates on repairing/replacing the unit. Legacy was the ONLY company that gave me options and let me know that the heat exchanger may be covered under warranty. Everyone I dealt with at Legacy was wonderful. The salesman was great! The office staff were very pleasant to deal with. They were thorough and followed up on all the details. The furnace was replaced (under warranty) yesterday. The installers were prompt, professional, and courteous. They took great care to find the best way to bring the furnace in and to protect our home from damage or mess. Replacing a furnace is not a quick job. The installers were mindful of the time, noise, foot traffic, and clean-up. They did a GREAT job! Legacy is our new HVAC company.

Tech was a little late but called and it was due to construction, so understandable. When he got out of his van, his eyes were bloodshot and his immediate comments to me about the home being secluded just creeped me out. I showed him the furnace in the basement and he was there originally to clean and inspect the furnace and central air unit. I went back upstairs with my 6 year old and it wasn't long before he came up and said the heat exchanger was badly cracked and he was going to his vehicle to get his ipad to take pictures so he could email them to me. After doing that, he sent me the pictures while standing in the living room, and when I received the email I realized it was from his personal account, which I hadn't realized or wouldn't have given him my email. I was impressed with the fact that he said it was not neccessary to clean it since the furnace needed replaced and he would just charge the inspection fee. However, he then started to ask my 6 year old some questions that I just wasn't comfortable with (especially the one where he asked which bedroom was going to be hers), and since I already figured he was high on something and now had my personal email to boot, I just wanted him gone. I told him we needed to leave to get my daughter to school and he said he would lock up when he was done. Although the house was vacant, I wasn't about to leave him there alone, so I said no, we can wait until he was done doing whatever it was he needed to finish up, and that if she was a little late to school it would be ok. We did end up getting an email estimate from the company the next day, and after getting several other estimates, realized they were the most expensive. If I ever did call them again, I would request that they not send that tech.

Overall we are very pleased with the service provided. Legacy recommended a unit after much discussion and was considerate in getting us information on all different ones. We had an issue with some rain water coming in through the insert point from outside our home through the a/c line, but they immediately upon my calling came out to remedy it. Unfortunately, we haven't had any rain since so we can't verify it is indeed 100% fixed, however they did say if we have any issues that they'll will make it right. Overall, good experience!

Fantastic job!! They were even able to get me in 2 days early. DamIen arrived right on time, explained exactly what was needed and most importantly, he had the replacement part in his truck. The service was quick, professional and I was cool again in no time! Legacy has earned a new (and happy) customer!

Legacy Heating & Air's price was very reasonable, they did the job fast, cleaned everything up after they were done, and there were no problems. I would use Legacy Heating & Air again.

Serviceman was very knowledgeable. Cleaned AC unit. Advised us that the AC needs replaced and we were given estimates on fixing the old unit, which is 8 yrs old, and the cost of a new unit.

Technician was professional and courteous. He showed me what the problems were and how to minimize in the future.

My Mothers Furnace went out first week in May. She had another contractor look at it and they told her it needed replaced due to a cracked heat exchanger and it would codt about $3500. I told her I would check Angie List for a contractor to give a second opinion. I gave her 2 names. One contractor tried to sell her a furnace that was much larger than she needed. Legacy came out promptly, confirmed the furnace needed replaced and explained why. They gave her a quote for the correct size furnace, hundreds less than the first contractor, scheduled the replacement, showed up on time, replaced the furnace, tested the furnace, made sure my Mother was familiar with its operation, and left the area cleaner then they found it. It was a great experience.

Things went fine. Will need a new unit. Was given a quote for a replacement unit.

Legacy Heating & Air Conditioning did a great job. They came out right away and fixed it within an hour. They came out the same day I called. It was good.

I received better price by telling them I found them on Angie's List.
