+ -1 moreAwful and unprofessional. Invoice clearly stated to cut down tree and stump removal. Did not remove stump and tree keeps growing back. We asked them to mow every other week but they came every week. Kept charging to clean out weeds and bushes and fertilizing yard when not requested. Office people were rude and unwilling to listen.

+ 0 moreThey provided 6 treatments for the 2014 season. We paid up front. The service was adequate - the lawn was healthy. Their billing/contract practices boarders on predatory in my opinion. Somewhere in the fine print you have to cancel in writing or they will "auto-renew" you for the next season. We moved during that time, so they applied 2 treatments to a house we didn't live in and charged FULL retail pricing for the new year. The office did finally get a hold of me and stated I owed them $105 because I didn't cancel per the agreement; otherwise, they would send it to collections. Remember, you actually get the agreement AFTER you verbally request their service, in good faith, over the phone - not knowing about the magical "auto-renew" clause! Nice way to treat your "preferred, pay all up front" customers! Will never use them again.

My in-laws were coming from out of town on November 1, and had never seen our house, so they worked us in the schedule on short notice. + 0 moreThe service was about what we expected. A serviceman would stop by our house once a month and spread weed controller. No weeds came up. However, our lawn has continued to thin out over the few years that we used Kapps and they never made recommendations for reversing this. Sure we could have asked, but it seems like they should have brought us some suggestions for addressing the issue. When it came down to it, for as small as our lawn is, we felt we could strengthen our grass and control the weeds through DIY methods and save the monthly costs.

First treatment to fertilize and kill dandelions/crab grass only $30 with follow up treatments every 6-8 wks at $60 each, but can cancel at any time - no long term commitment. 1 week after first treatment, a serious dandelion/broad leaf problem was gone. Lawn is looking great!

+ 1 moreThey are a locally owned company that pays a lot of attention to detail. It is a very personal mom and pop company that wants to build a relationship with me. It is a good locally owned business and they are better than some of the large companies. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: I used Kapp's Lawn Specialists to do our lawn last spring and summer. They did landscaping, mulching, lawn care and maintenance and the actual cutting of the lawn.

+ -1 moreAs I stated, Office Manager, Angie is useless. Service is unprofessional. NO standards to fix the problem. Could have called worker and told him to redo it. Could have sent a Manager out to check to see IF I was lying. Could have done a redo by another worker. Nothing was done. So, IF you want to pay your money to a company that doesn't do what it is to do, you do that. And yes, my spouse will verify because she saw him do the back yard. And I told them and the BBB that I do not every want to be solicited by Kapp's again. I will not pay money for a service that is not being preformed properly or professionally. A Traveler
Description of Work: ON 08-01-2012 @ aproximately 1530 hours the service man showed up, did one pass on the front of the yard, side of the yard and two sweeps in the back yard, and one on the other side of the yard. Simply put, didn't do a proper job in the front, dog walk or back yard. Total time was less then 3 minutes. When I telephoned to complain to the Angie, the Office Manager, you was useless. Angie offered no solution or help what so ever. Useless. I did request someone come out to see what was done, but oh no can do that today. Why not? Because you would have established that no actual application was properly delivered. The worst service I have ever received from this company, and IF you are a customer, I bet you too are being ripped off by a shoddy, lazy, unprofessional worker. All I have to say is their prices may low, but so are they. And when a Manager can't come out to see the work that was not done, Don't ever use this company again. IF you think I am lying, then why didn't some Manager come out here and prove me wrong? Spend a little more, and get with a professional company that does what you pay for.

I have an annual contract with them that I negotiated for $32 per visit. They gave me a 10% discount if I paid that in full which I did. They do not treat during the winter months.

My lawn is always very nice...if I need to change something with my yard all I have to do is call them. They are just a great company...will absolutely continue to use them.

+ -1 moreThey do call once in awhile if there is something they feel needs to be done, they ask if we are interested. I think one time we were having a garage sale so he didn't treat our lawn, which I appreciated, but he came back and did it later.
