We purchased a used car and in the test drive noticed that the dome light and cigarette lighter did not work. This was written into our purchase agreement that these would be fixed. We took the car in initially to have it fixed and they explained that they would have to order the dome light wiring and there was nothing wrong with the lighter. When I showed them that the lighter wasn't working, they explained that 'nothing was mechanically wrong' and refused to look at it further. I then called the manager and explained the problem, he told me to bring the car back in and it would be fixed. Low and behold, the fix worked for about 2 days and was out again. I called back in and this time was told that the initial agreement was met and I would have to pay for subsequent repairs. I declined, but inquired again about the dome light wiring and was assured the part was on order. I called in once a week for 3 months inquiring about the wiring and couldn't get anything done. I traded the car in a few months ago for something better, only to receive a call that the wiring was in. Glad it came in after 10 months. ridiculous.
Description of Work: Replace dome light wiring, replaced cigarette lighter

My son, his fiance and I went to look at some used cars. He wanted to stay under $3000, as this was a replacement for a vehicle he had totaled (black ice). The salesman took us to the back lot and showed us a number of vehicles. only one of which fit the bill and looked reasonably clean. When we went back in to check on the vehicle, it was already sold. The salesman checked for others that may have not been listed online yet and found a Buick that would do. We checked it out, drove it, and it seemed to be a good fit. The salesman indicated he thought we could probably get it for about $3000. Once my son offered that much, the salesman went to the sales manager to check it out. He came back and said he couldn't do that low, the dealership had about $3300 in it. My son agreed to $3400 and the salesman went off again. When he came back, the sales manager came over, logged into the computer, and showed my son that they had over $3600 in it, including new brake lines all the way around. He said he'd sell it for $3775, I believe it was. Well, the car with the improvements were probably worth that much and my son agreed. After the sales manager departed, the salesman apologized for the mix-up, said the sales manager had looked at a different vehicle the previous time. I wasn't sure if they were playing "low ball and sell up" games or whether it was a genuine mistake on their part. I just didn't get a very good taste in my mouth from the way it all went down. There's more to this story but I can't divulge it yet.
Description of Work: Sold my son a used car. I was there for financial reasons.

Have bought multiple cars from Glenbrook Dodge in the past, with our last purchase being a 2011 Dodge Nitro last March. Had terrible experience with the service department in the past, but we were assured that they had changed. I have been to them three times and all three times have exceeded my expectations. I had a nail in my tire and the repaired it quickly and they were attentive and very good about time management. So far so good. They appear to have changed their ways from my experience.
Description of Work: Tire sensor came on due to a nail in my tire. Had them plug it and repair it.

Horrible experience... Explained it in the context of the repairs...
Description of Work: I had 2 vehicles in for service and body repairs during the same time period. I first took my 2003 yukon Denali to the service dept to get estimates on the driver heated seat not working, and rear a/c not working, and to get the headlights aligned. They charged $100+ for that. Later that night, I hit 3 deer. So, the only auto place I had contact with was them, so I had it towed there. I told them that while it was there, do the work on the heated seat and the a/c. Nearly 3months later (due to parts availability with the body repairs), I was told it was ready and paid $1,500-ish. The rear wiper didn't work, my after market remote starter didn't work, the heated seat DID work, A/c in the back did not. They told me the after market products weren't their responsibility. The tech who went out with me to look at the rear wiper, said it was seized up, then proceeded to muscle it free- then it just hung there. They did (after I was very vocal about displeasure) get the remote starter reprogrammed. But they told me I needed to take it to the service department for the rear wiper (that they broke). So I did, and the service manager said it would cost me at least $90 for them to look at it. I said whatever, just do it. While this vehicle was in the body shop department, my other vehicle (2008 Chrysler Sebring) was rear-ended. I hadn't had the issues at this point with the Denali repairs (we were still waiting on parts). So I brought my Sebring there. The bumper repair went off without much issue. While it was there I had the service department do an oil change, rotate the tires, & try to troubleshoot an issue with noise when turning left and the vehicle occasionally dying when I turned turned left. They said the brakes needed replaced and the noise was coming corrosion on the rotor. They machined the rotors, replaced the pads, did the oil change- wouldn't rotate the tires because I needed new ones. (I went to discount tire, right down the street, and got the tires and get service and a great price). The brake work didn't fix the left turn noise or the dying problem. So my car was operational at least, so now back to the Yukon... Body damage fixed, remote start fixed, wiper not so much. Had the service department do the estimate- when the service manager called me to tell me what they had found (which was basically that it could be anything and they needed to tear into the wiring system, etc). I said button it up an let me know when I can come get it. When I got there, they brought around front,( while I was paying) so when I got to the vehicle I found the surprise they had left. They hadn't bothered to put the back end back together! The wiper wasn't tightened down, the entire large plastic molded panel that covers all the wiring in the back gate/hatch area was laying in my back seat, with several other small pieces still needing to be put back together. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone!!
