+ -1 moreAs overheard by others I was shopping with, the dept. manager instructed the sales geek to keep the unopened inventory for a particular laptop model in back as a means to persuade us to buy a pre-configured laptop having extra cost software already installed. A deceptive tactic, in my opinion. I think that manager is no longer employed there, thankfully.
Description of Work: Sales geek misrepresented inventory quantities under the direction of the dept. manager.

+ 0 moreFrustrated that there is NO follow up at this Best Buy location (Apple Glen) once the store has received payment. No one could answer, including the store manager (Eric) why I was not notified that my merchandise was available for pick up. Just a terrible and frustrating experience for such a simple purchase!
Description of Work: Went into to store to purchase electronic equipment on December 28, 2013. Product was unavailable and ordered, we were told our merchandise would arrive in store on January 3, 2014. I went into the store on the 3rd my merchandise was not there I was instructed at that time that I would receive an email or phone call when merchandise was in and ready for pick up. On January 9th I contacted the store for an update on the status to find my merchandise is available.

+ -1 moreI did have an icemaker problem shortly after it was delivered; turned out to be my own plumbing problem, but Best Buy came and checked it promptly.
Description of Work: Two employees spend at least an hour hunting for the refrigerator model I was looking to purchase. They were pleasant during this not so enjoyable job. Found the model, arranged delivery. I was pleased. Best Buy is not known for the best appliance prices, but I found they had closeout models remarkably lower than other places in town.

+ -1 moreWait for help that Sunday was rather lengthy, but that wasn't the worst of it. Next-day delivery didn't appear at all - no call, nothing. Our call to the store that day was greeted with a 20-minute hold. That followed by a manager who spoke to us with all the concern he might normally use when told the breakroom Coke machine was out of Sprite. "That's too bad," and "a miscommunication," were the longest sentences we got out of him. The best he was willing to do for our "next-day delivery" was Wednesday - two days after we expected it. We went into the store for our refund later that day. A local appliance store, sold us a similar model instead. Very frustrating...
Description of Work: Best Buy sold us a washer and promised next-day delivery for a fee of $20.
