Doc Dancer Heating, A/C & Generators

Description of Work: Was told they would be there that day to fix furnace. They did not show up. They did not call.

Description of Work: Installed a new heating and air system. They did a nice job in driving rain. Very professional - will use them again.

Description of Work: We had a new whole house generator installed. The entire staff was outstanding. We changed all of our services to them and let our friends know what a great company they are!

Description of Work: The young service guy spent about an hour or so searching for a refrigerant leak. I didn't see him use a sniffer. Found leak at condensor coils after installing leak detector (I think for about $150, I could be wrong). Supposedly repaired leak and put about 2 - 3 lbs of freon in compressor to the best of my memory. Lasted a couple of days and had them back out and he Supposedly repaired leak and put more freon in unit (more money!!!) and basically told me I was going to have to purchase a new unit. Just out to make a sale. I got someone else out that actually repaired the leak outside at the condensor coils low preasure side and the unit ran fine the rest of the summer without a hitch. The serviceman was very friendly middle aged man and wasn't out to sell anything but his good repair service. Anybody can tap here and there for a while, charge you a few hundred dollars, tell you you need to replace it and they'll apply what you've paid toward the new replacement. It's a MONEY MAKING DEAL!!! NO! I wouldn't recommend them to anyone for a service call. Maybe to sell and install a new unit!!! NOT. Oh! by the way.....I don't live in Fort Wayne, IN any longer. I moved to North Carolina and the automatic draft you recently took out of my account for a re-up with you is useless here. I want my money back. I don't want to use ANGIE'S LIST. I can find what I'm looking for free by word of mouth through friends like I did the sevice man that fixed my AC unit in Fort Wayne. And please........just leave me alone after this.

Description of Work: The gentleman from Doc Dancer came to install the whole-house humidifier on January 17, 2014. Along the way, he ran into some shoddy work that another company had done at some time in the past - no way to tell how long ago - and parts ended up needing to be replaced. Basically, a wire was not grounded and when he was putting a piece back it hit the wire and shorted the motor. The gentleman from Doc Dancer said they would replace the part for free since it had been damaged by him (even though it was really related back to whoever did not properly ground the wire). The poor guy spent the entire day at our house fixing the issue and we ended up getting a new motor and motherboard. He also noticed that the guy we'd had in the week before, from a different company, had put in a part (which I cannot now remember the name of) that was too big for our furnace and would have eventually burned out the motor, so he changed that too. Then he came back the following week to adjust something on the humidifier for us. Through it all he was pleasant and professional, and we were very grateful to him!
