Bushey's Window and Door

It went really well, at every turn! The sales people were helpful and courteous. The installers were professional, skillful and tactful. The windows are beautiful. Everyone was on time and if anything delayed an arrival - in our case, weather stalled the installation by a day, the staff was in touch with me and communicated the delay and the reschedule. It was a delight to work with them.

The estimate appointment was informative and the representative was very professional and helpful.

Bushey's has the best customer service and their installers are professional, on time and cleaned up everything before leaving. We have lived in our home for almost 8 years. This is the third patio door and the ONLY door that does not leak when it rains. We purchased the Marvin Integrity French paio door and are very pleased with the purchase. Our patio faces the west with open fields and driving wind and rain has been a problem for us.....always getting bath towels to catch the leaks. This is no longer a problem for us. We had a strong storm about a week after Bushey's installed the door. NO LEAKS!! Thank you Bushey's!!!! Hoping to replace the rest of our windows next year and Bushey's will be doing our work.

Sales and installation team were both on time and professional. Proposal was thorough with no changes after install. Installation crew took time to ensure the job was done right even though there were several issues. And, quality of the door and window is excellent.

I really loved them. I was doing business with another place and the guy said that he would come back and he was delayed several weeks and to the best of my knowledge, never came here. I called Bushey's and asked them to do the same thing and it was really funny because the guy said, yeah we will try to get out there today. I waited a little bit and I decided to go out and get some stuff and I came back and I figured well, I am going to see what the door looks like and who knows, maybe they'll come here. I wasn't expecting too much and I went out and found out the door was done. They came out and did it. It was relatively inexpensive and they still came out and did it. It's nice from that standpoint but somebody else might have a worse problem or a totally different problem so of course the price is going to be different. They came out here and did so much. I was happy still. I needed to have it done and the other guy, he came out and looked at it and was saying he was going to come out. He even gave me a sob story about how they had a painter fall of the roof and I was thinking it should have been done before then. It's nice. There's a couple of things I thought could have been a little bit better. I was happy about the whole thing. What stood out most was the guy gave me a relatively reasonable timeline. He didn't even look at the thing and said he would be out the same day or whatever, which you know, I mean you figure, that's nice but what's the chance it's going to happen and he actually did it. That was nice. That really stood out.

From start to finish, I can't say enough positive things about Bushey's. They are such a professional company to work with. Jim came out to discuss the project in January. He sent us a bid the next day and they were done with the project Feb. 23. It took them 2 days to install the new window, take out the windows, sliding door, and door and to put new trim on all the openings. Tony and his crew were so neat about doing all of this. They were very cautious to put down drop cloths, use the shopvac to dust everything, and trimmed it out in a beautiful fashion. It took Chuck 3 mornings to stain the woodwork, paint the porch trim, and varnish everything. Again, he was so professional and neat. The entire project was exactly what we had envisioned. This is the fifth project that we have hired Bushey's to do, and again they didn't disappoint. We would hire them again for any construction needs. They have built a sunroom for us, helped remodel our kitchen, and installed new windows, in addition to this project. They are such a professional company to work with. The crew was courteous and diligent about cleaning up, which is much appreciated as we have 2 dogs and 2 children. They were there on time and we love our new windows! We support local businesses as much as possible, and everyone at Bushey's was great to work with! Thank you!!!

The first appointment was cancelled due to Jeff being sick so they rescheduled for a few days later. My husband and I both left work early to meet Jeff at our home. When we got here we looked to see if there were any messages from him regarding the appointment or issues finding us. We had no messages and no missed calls. About 25 minutes after he was supposed to be here I called their number. Jeff came to the phone and proceeded to inform me that we were outside of their 60 mile area (in reality we are 42 to 44 miles from their front door to our front door depending on the route you take). He said he tried to leave a couple of messages telling us that, but other than the request to reschedule the week before we had no more calls from this company. He then proceeded to tell me that the distance wasn't worth it for the wood beam ceiling we were interested in and would be too far from them. I asked why they didn't know that before and he told me he had never heard of Silver Lake before and didn't know (and clearly didn't check before he was ready to come today even though two weeks had passed) where it was. I told him I was shocked that they waited this long to tell us that and he seemed disinterested in having wasted our time. Stay away from this company. If they run their projects like they run their quotes and customer meetings its a good thing we didn't go any further. I will say that my husband is an electrical contractor working for himself and we do not waste peoples time. We set up meetings and we show up on time. Their callous disregard for our schedules is insulting. I'm guessing they got local work from the home show and didn't need this project.

We were so very impressed by this company. They were punctual, professional and provided a superior product at a price lower than most of their competitors. Tony and Eric removed the old windows from brick walls and managed to keep leaves and dirt from entering our home. They not only caulked the new windows but also caulked three decorative windows we did not replace. Our new windows not only look better but function so well. Our home is now comfortable even on cold, windy days. We are considering having them come back in the spring to replace some doors. We cannot say enough good things about this company. They have been in Fort Wayne for many years because they provide great customer service and products!

This was a very pleasant experience from the start. My first contact was at the Home and Garden show at the Coliseum and I went there specificially to talk to window people. In all honesty I almost did not stop at the Bushey booth as they have a reputation of being at the top of the spectrum price wise but then thought what could it hurt?The salesman, Kent, was very nice, professional and not at all pushy. He explained all of their choices, the benefits, the construction, etc., gave me a catalog for the Marvin windows and told me to look at the other booths at the show and if I was interested in getting a quote from them to call. At the end of my search I had talked with and received quotes from 4 different companies and to my surprise Bushey's was NOT the most expensive. In fact I received a quote from another company for the same window as Bushey's and it was higher by hundreds of dollars and that was supposedly at 50% off their normal price as a "show special". So needless to say I choose Bushey's based on their reputation for quality work. The installation process was top notch. The installers were here at the scheduled time and Mike, Chris, John and "Big John" were very skilled and professional. The install took 2 days and each day they cleaned their work areas and were very conscientious of my furnishings and flooring. I had full replacement windows so they had to do all new wood trim around the windows and the patio door and all the staining of the trim is done at their shop and it matched the rest of my cabinetry and woodwork perfectly. Putting up all new trim can be a challenge too but the installers cut the boards on site and the corner miters are perfect. They just did a beautiful job all the way around. These are the main things I feel are important, There were many little things that they did too but they are too many to mention. I would definately hire Bushey's again and would recomend them in a heatbeat!! Thank you Bushey's for a job well done!

Best decision I've made so far regarding home remodeling, I am very pleased with the quality of the windows. They are absolutely beautiful, stain matches existing trim perfectly. Installation process was very smooth, work began on date promised, and installation crew was very professional, courteous and friendly. The windows are expensive, however the quality is SUPERB and I couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend Bushey's to anyone researching new windows, not only for the quality of the product, but the installation is first rate. I will be hiring Bushey's in the future to install more windows!

They were very professional and stained the windows to match my existing trim. They left no mess behind, not even a spec of dust.

We have had Bushey's replace window and a patio door in our home. Always do quality work. Very pleased with everything we've had done with them. Highly recommend.

These guys were great. The window is high quality. The instal guys were pleasant and professional. The salesman was fine. Everyone showed up on time, did a fine instal job, cleaned up and left. Since my wife was not involved in the purchase she was skeptical. These guys made me look good. We are planning to have all of the windows replaced and definitely call them. I wish they did siding.

The doors are Provia doors, which are very high quality. They fit perfectly, and there are no bad features about them. The only issue is the high price.

This was an enormous project. The Bushey's team (four installers, including a team leader) was absolutely incredible. They were careful to lay down tarps and cleaned up after themselves for each day of this week long project. Some of our windows are quite large, including a great room window that is essentially a second story window from the exterior of the home. To watch these guys was fascinating. They knew their stuff. Each of them had several years of experience with the company, and their familiarity with the process was highly evident. I was also impressed with the respect with which these four gentlemen treated us and each other. There was a lot of discussion among them for the time they were in our home. I didn't once hear a swear word. We have two inch blinds throughout the house and window treatments on the majority of our windows. The installers removed and re-installed all during the process. (Another bidder for the project had told us that we would be responsible for removing the blinds...) They focused on details like caulk, making sure that they used a paintable caulk so we could do touch up work. The product is incredible; the windows have interior grids, a lifetime warranty, and we no longer need to put film on two large, west-facing windows. The replacement windows actually look better than the originals and are easier to clean. I should also talk about the sales process. While working on the estimate, Kent recommended several changes to reduce the cost of the overall process. We had a couple of cranking windows surrounding the kitchen sink, which he correctly assumed we had never opened. (I'm too short to reach the cranks.) We replaced those with fixed windows. Similarly, our dining room had two cranking windows on either side of the larger, main window. The flanking windows are now fixed, and the center window opens with a crank. I felt that Kent really worked to give us all around improvement. I will use Bushey's on future projects, for sure!

They did a great job, and were easy to work with.

Bushey's has always been excellent to us and very reputable. They are quick to get back to us, addressed our questions and the contractors arrived when they were scheduled. We have used them for two large projects and will use them again for any future projects we may have.

Jim came out and showed us examples of what he had done and sent us a quote the next day. We went to Bushey's showroom and saw the windows and doors that we would be using. Jim came out and did another final measurement. We set up a time for installation and the 4 guys who came out to do the installation were so professional. They were so careful about taking off the siding and removing the vinyl windows (we had sold those to someone else). They were some of the neatest workers I have ever been around. The 10 windows were installed on day one and looked great. On Day 2, they came out (New Year's Eve day) and installed the 4 bedroom casement windows. They look great as well. Then came the winter storm of 2014. Bushey's called us and told us that due to the extreme cold and heavy snow that they needed to postpone coming back until the weather improves because the siding that they removed would be too brittle to work with (plus the workers couldn't work outside in those temps). We totally understand and expect them to be back here as soon as the weather improves. The workers came back and finished the trim and siding on the outside of the house. The whole thing turned out great and we couldn't be happier with Bushey's as our contractor. Bushey's kept in contact with us about the weather delays and they worked here whenever the weather cooperated. The workers always left the place completely clean each day. I would totally recommend Bushey's for a room addition, windows and doors, or any other project. In fact, we are going to have the put in a new counter and backsplash for us in the near future.

Was referred to them by my realtor and impressed by their A+ Better Business Bureau rating. After taking off work to meet with their representative for about an hour I was told it would take a week to get the estimates, due to the Labor Day holiday. He was very thorough and took lots of notes and measurements. So far so good. Two weeks and several emails later, I was told I'd have the estimates by the end of the week. The next day I received a call telling me they are so backed up they won't have time to do ANY of the projects (even though most of them weren't needed until 2014). Really?...not a single one?! They gave me the name of an independent contractor that I can't find on BBB/Angie's List to verify and seemed to feel that was enough. Long story short, they did nothing but waste my time. Unless you have an expensive window replacement or remodeling job I'm guessing you'll get the runaround too.

The quoting and sales process was great. Kent was very well informed and made appropriate suggestions. He never pressured us into anything at all, helped us make an educated and balanced decision about what to do for our situation. The installation team from Bushey's was very prompt and professional. They completely removed the old rotten windows while carefully preserving the interior trim pieces. They installed the new windows and re-installed the interior trim ? can?t really tell that the trim was removed/replaced. The guys were careful to put down drop cloths and cleaned up as they went, even sweeping up any sawdust, etc. They were very meticulous about the entire installation and especially the interior trim. They took time to ask if we were happy with the installation and made sure to answer any of our questions. The job was not a bargain, but you absolutely get what you pay for, the installers are long term employees of Bushey?s (not subcontractors) and they care about the quality of the work and it shows. An overall excellent experience with Bushey's. A+

Dealing with Bushey's was a pleasure. No High pressure sales pitch or as several other companies a special low-price for signing on first meeting. The salesperson came to the house, took photos & measurements of the door, asked what we were looking for & used a catalog to show what Bushey's offered. We set up a second meeting at Bushey's showroom where he used a computer program to design the door system with the colors we wanted & displayed the New Door on the photos taken on the first meeting. This was very unique in that we knew exactly what we were getting & what the finished product would look like after install. A week before the agreed installation date, Bushey's called to confirm the date & time the installers would arrive. Installers arrived on time, putting down protective tarps on the floor & vacuumed the area on completion. The lead installer fully explained everything to my wife prior to leaving. It was a great pleasure doing business with this firm. The crew that came out did an excellent job, minimizing the time that the rear of the house wa open to the elements as it was winter & very cold out.
