They were hard to get ahold of. They did the work while I was at work. The estimate for the described services was 4300 with a discount for doing everything. They came out and surveyed the yard and work when the did the estimate. Then right before the work was supposed to start they change the plans which, of course, was going to cost me more money. I was told that Indiana was 80% clay so tiling wouldn't work. Wouldn't they have known this when they did the estimate. So I had to pay to have a drain and subpump put in my front yard. They dug it out, it rained and caved it back in. Rather than redig that spot, they dug up the other side of my yard. So my whole yard was dug up and muddy. They put the dirt directly on my gravel driveway so when they filled the hole in, they took my gravel with it. Then they forgot to hook the garage downspout to my drain because they forgot to write it down that I wanted them to do this. Then when they plugged in the subpump, it tripped the breaker. They wanted me to pay 1/2 the cost to run electrical. I refused. My brother, the electrician, had to come fix the break the first time around. Then A1 wanted me to ask him to do the work for them. No. I had many issues with them. They left my front yard mud. They scraped the gravel off my driveway. I faxed many letters to the office with no reply. Finally got the BBB involved. All I was asking was for money to get my yard and drive fixed. They hired their own people which ended up probably costing more than I asked for. PLUS, my south basement wall is still leaking to this day. BAD COMMUNICATION. Kept wanting more and more $ from me after I paid in full before the job started.

Very well. We worked with Tim Hill (cell phone 260-615-9351). They were having trouble with calls at the office phone, so I recommend calling Tim if no one returns your call. Tim came out and gave us an estimate, and we scheduled the job to be done. They said they would be here between 8 am and 9 am, and two workmen got here at around 8:45 am. They had the detailed description of what work needed to be done, but I walked around with them to go over it once. They drilled holes then pumped in something that lifted the slabs of concrete. It took several hours, as it was a pretty big job. We were very happy with the results, they were just as described. The work was done exactly as quoted. I told them they should call their company Miracle Concrete, because it was a miracle how well they fixed my driveway. We had another company quote pouring a new driveway and sidewalk--it would have cost over $8,000.00. So this was an excellent second option! I would recommend them to anyone.

Before putting in an offer on this house I called A-1 for an estimate. Being from out of town I was delighted to be able to get a man out on such short notice. The representative was actually fun to work with, and gave my an excellent bid. I didn't schedule the work until three months later. One a cold day in early December two handsome hardworking blond guys came out and did an absolutely beautiful workmanly job! In addition to the reasonable bid, A-1 offers a coupon. From now on, I will watch my driveway buck and shift with an inner serenity, because I know Fort Wayne has this quality service!
