2 Guys Tree Service LLC

The 2 guys removed the trees we had agreed to. However, contacting them was difficult. We called them, they called back and we set a date, but they never showed up. A week later they came to the door wanting to do the quote. Luckily someone was home and we were able to accommodate them. They said they would call before they came over...but again, they just showed up one day and started cutting down the trees we had agreed on. Luckily (again) someone was home. The truck they had was filled with the debris from the trees so they said they would take that away and come back later to remove the rest of the few branches and twigs remaining. They never returned. The actual work was done well...they removed the trees and stumps where needed. The question above "Would you use this provider in the future?" I might, if they could take away the brush they left...and if they could guarantee dates.

2 Guys Tree Service gave me a great quote to remove a large amount of tree debris from my mother's yard after the bad Fort Wayne storm on 7/1/14. They showed up on time then completed the job completely and professionally. The yard looked great when they were done. I would use them again without reservation and would recommend them to both family and friends.

Excellent! That was fantastic. The price was ridiculous. It was less than a half from the other quotes. They quoted low. They did not make way off to us. They had a week to do the full time. They made a bad quote but deducted to us. The bid they showed up was high quality. For that day works they got everything done quickly. Everything was done exactly the way I would want it done. They did not sure any responsibility at all and did everything they said they would. I could have been happier. Everything was done exactly the way we had expected it.

We filled out a request form online for 2 Guys tree service, a representative stopped by our home within 2-3 days. We explained what we wanted done and the rep provided a written quote within a few minutes. We agreed on the price and set a date for them to start. They arrived on time on the agreed upon start date. Initially they said the entire job would take 2 days, however the first two days turned out to be the hottest days of the year, so it took a few days longer than planned. They worked very hard and did a tremendous amount of work. They did everything we had asked and more. The job turned out fantastic and they even raked up the yard when done and hauled everything away. I can't say enough about this company, very polite and professional. I have another large tree that will need to be cut down next year and I will definitely be calling 2 Guys tree service.

Timeline and Communication I received a quote and estimated start date on 10/1/2012. The quote was right on, but that was all. The estimated start date I received was "approximately 2 weeks", which would put the estimated start date at 10/14 (14 days later) and that the work would take at most two days. Total quoted time to complete: approximately 16 days. Actual time to "complete": approximately 81 days. Timeline: 10/1 - Authorized work to begin and paid deposit. 10/14 - Work scheduled to begin. --Elapsed time: 14 days-- (Then, I don't hear anything for a long time. My neighbor is a retired woman and has multiple dogs and wanted some forewarning of when the work was to start because, as I was informed by 2 Guys, they would have to use her yard some to remove the tree. I asked 2 Guys multiple times for some forewarning of when the work would start so that I could make sure my dogs were secure, let my neighbor know, and make sure my cars were out of the way.) 11/11 - I am contacted by 2 Guys and told they will begin work the next day. (1 day notice) 11/12 - I come home from work and no work has begun. I am informed by my fiancé that they came to my house and told her that they had changed their plans and were instead going to begin work another day after they rented a lift. I had called my neighbor and informed her with one day notice that work was going to start so made plans to stay with a relative overnight. I had to call her and tell her that work actually hadn't begun, that she'd left for two days for no reason, and she'd have to reschedule to leave again and that I'd try to give her a date, but I had no idea as my quoted date was "next week". 11/16 - Large lift (takes up entire driveway) is in my driveway when I get home that night (this was unannounced). 11/17 - Work starts and much of tree is removed. I was never told that work was going to start, so I couldn't give my neighbor any notice. A lift showed up in my driveway and work started the next day. 11/26 - Tree removal completed (not stumps) --Elapsed time: 56 days-- (Then, I don't hear anything for a long time. At this point I was not surprised by this.) 12/21 - Stumps are removed and work is completed. --Elapsed time: 81 days-- Quality I wanted to keep the choppable wood and it was agreed upon that 2 Guys would haul away the brush and cut and stack the remaining wood in chunks that could be easily moved and chopped for firewood. Much of the wood was nicely stacked, but I was left with multiple chunks of the base of the tree weighing hundreds of pounds and scattered over a distance of 20 feet. I am still left with these because I do not own a chainsaw to cut them into the manageable pieces that were agreed on. When the electric company remove my other comparably sized maple, the 2-3 foot wide base were sliced into easily manageable 10-12 inch thick cylinders so I know it is possible and can be done in less than a day, but apparently 2 Guys couldn't manage this. Conclusion I received quotes from another tree removal company. 2 Guys quote was higher by over $150, but their estimated start date was sooner by more than a month. The tree is no longer standing, but I am left with pieces that I cannot move or use, my neighbor was inconvenienced, and I paid over $1500 for a service that was not completed when or how I was told (when I was told anything at all).

They arrived and were able to saw down the dead branches from the ground. They cleaned up after they were done

They were on time, and they were fast with their work. They did a great job! The people who worked for me were friendly and courteous. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

The bad thing about 2 Guys Tree Service LLC was when they came to cut the tree down, they informed me that they did not have the equipment to cut the tree and so they needed to cancel the job, but they worked with me and I had to explain to them that I had waited all summer for them to bring the tree down just for them to call me when it is time to take it down, it would take me again that long to get someone else to bring it down. He worked with me on that and he wanted USD 500 in addition to that and I basically had him agree that I would pay him USD 300 if he was willing to do some stump grinding and haul some brush away. We had a really bad wind storm that came through and took down a lot of trees and there was a lot of clean up to be done and he agreed he would do that for me. What was really good about them was that he offered to come on a Saturday to take care of my neighbor's work if they didn't find anyone to do it and I think he needs to be commended for that.

all communications were promptly returned. bid was submitted within a week. work was performed during the approx. timeframe promised. my wife was home and she noted that they did not knock on the door but rather went right to doing the job. this may have been a miscommunication on my part as we told them we didn't care when they showed up. several branches were missed but after a followup call they returned and finished the job in a timely manner and without asking for additional money. they were very courteous, cleaned up any mess, and left things just as they were. i am very satisfied.

They did everything from the breakdown to clean up. They stacked the wood up behind the barn for me. They came out at about 8a.m. and by 10a.m. they had almost finnished. They were lightening fast. You couldn't tell they had even been there except that the trees were missing. I would reccomend them to anybody. They were all around nice guys...very polite and considerate. They are completly confident in their skills.

We met one of the owners, Jeremy, while he was working with his crew on our neighbors yard. I was taken with how young and knowledgable he was about trees and impressed with his professionalism. His crew was mid 20's, clean cut and very professional as well. I requested a quote and proceeded to get two others for comparison. We were told by the other two companies that two of our trees, which were dead Ash trees, would have to be taken down with a lift, which was an additional $1000.00. Jeremy assured us that he was very confident he could "drop" the trees, saving us the $1000.00, but there was a slight chance it would hit part of our fence. He gave us the option of signing a waiver for the fence. We chose that option since if the worst case scenerio happened, and he took out a fence panel, it would not cost us a thousand dollars. Their company is bonded and insured, but since this was a known risk, they requested the waiver and we were happy to be given the option. We had a $3000.00 budget. With the other bids, we would only be able to cut down three trees. With this service we got four trees and stump grinding on three of them. As mentioned in the services performed, one of them had to be ground down 2 feet! They came promptly, both trees fell exactly as planned with NO damage and the clean up was perfect. The entire service was flawless and we are planning to have them back again next year to trim and cut down a few more. I cannot say enough good things about these guys.
