Terrible customer service. Have left messages with no return phone call in over two weeks. Would not recommend using them.

I called every lawn irrigation company I found on Angie's List with an Aand quot; or and quot;Band quot; rating. This company was the only one who called me back. In a month of waiting, no one else in the city returned my phone call. Several companies said they'd have someone call, and never did. Someone from Laduke's (presumably the owner / namesake) came out when I was not home, looked around, and sent me an estimate of the cost within a day or two. It was organized like a spreadsheet, listing the parts and labor like you might see from a body shop when having a car repaired. There was no picture or diagram of where the sprinkler heads or control box or extra water meter would go. When I called back to discuss the estimate, the guy I spoke to indicated that diagrams like that were way too time-consuming and he would not make any money if he had to provide them for each estimate. Seems like a reasonable position, but left me as a consumer not knowing what the system would look like. The estimate was about $3,500 for my small neighborhood lot. I have a very small yard, but average for this subdivision. The estimate was for 4 zones, one of which was landscaping / shrubbery. When he and I discussed the estimate over the phone, he said he could eliminate one zone and save a couple hundred dollars, which sounded to me like a small savings for a significant reduction in the system's capability. I've also learned that it would be a good idea to get a separate water meter installed, since Louisville water bills include expected use of the sewer when that water drains. Adding a separate water meter specifically for lawn sprinklers can eliminate that sewer add-on for the second meter, reducing the cost of water used to irrigate. Installing the second meter was not included in his price. I've also heard that the price he gave me is quite high. The company appears to do both residential and light commercial work, so maybe he just doesn't need jobs as small as my house. I've also had several recommendations by word of mouth, a few of which were on Angie's List with poor grades. I've called most of them. But as of yet, no one else in a city of over 1 million people has called me back. I'm about ready to rent a trenching machine and do it myself.

Laduke's was prompt and on time and did the job exactly as expected. Any issues were taken care of right away. The crew was hardworking and professional. They did their job quickly and efficiently and cleaned up when they were finished. Since then they have taken care of opening and closing the system for the system. They are also coming out in a few weeks for a new irrigation project to take care of erosion problems that we are having since our property has a severe slope. They will also be doing some landscape work. That being said it is clear that we were happy with the work that was done and called them first when we needed more work. The owner, Gary LaDuke, is a mature professional gentleman. You can tell that he has a great deal of experience and cares about the quality of work that his company provides. Highly recommended.

I used them last fall they did a decent job. The system went in and they had to do repairs. They were a little in the troublesome side once the system went in. They had to come out and make adjustments and fix things. I had to hold back my final payment until they came back and did. The thing that we had was one section of the yard that is a little garden and the front was not getting water at all. It took me three week to get them to address that. The price was very competitive.

They had previously replaced several sprinkler heads and were very reasonable in their charges.

The only delays related to problems with our water connection. We had to call the Louisville Water Company to fix them before Ladukes could proceed.

They were prompt, thorough, and fair on their pricing.

There was only one guy that came down; he was good, reliable, and he did excellent work. They were very reasonable, quick, and efficient. I had a package deal; they had to start up the system and also pump out the system at the end of the year.

Everything was fine. They did a good job. They came out and serviced us right there. They were very personable. We called them because they never contacted us so I don't know if that's normal. I think the pricing was reasonable.

They were courteous and provided a quote over the phone. The work was done in a timely manner. I have dealt with this company before. They are alway professional and deliver quality service.

Everything goes really well. We continue to use them for irrigation.

It took a total of 3-days for the install, as weather was pretty crappy the whole time; rainy and cold. They had a neat piece of equipment that burrowed the main lines in the yard. Be sure to have any electirc fences marked before they begin. The real work, and time consuming, was attaching all the heads, creating junctions and wiring for the controller. In the end, it all went well, and there is minimal disruption to your lawn in the process. Within a few weeks, you can't even tell anything was done. Gary's son was at the job as the main lead and was responsive to any inquiries/questions I had along the way. They blew out the lines after the start up/test as part of the service (winter prep), since it was a late season install. They came back and Spring and got it going again. Gary is old fashioned in that he understands the importance of customer service and being responsive to your inquiries. I have had nt issues geting a hold of him (gives you hi mobile number), however, for routine questions and servicing you can just call the main line; always get a 'live' person when I call. Would recommend, and in fact have recommended their service to two friends who also had irrigation systems installed from LaDuke.

I had used LaDuke since 2009 for my irrigation system service and spent just under $2000 across theyears. They had been fantastic. In 2011, we had a paver patio installed in the backyard which disrupted the irrigation system. We contacted LaDuke before the work and were instructed to save the irrigation heads. When LaDuke came into restore the irrigation system, they installed all new equipment and charged us for the new heads. When confronted, they gave us a discount on the new heads. This was irritating but acceptable because otherwise the work seemed good. Flash forward to July of 2012, we needed to rework the paver patio. We again contacted LaDuke in advance. When they the system was repaired, I was told two modules in the controller were bad which I reviewed and were working the night before. They replaced the heads with new heads, again, even though I left the old heads hanging from the controller. In addition, one of the irrigation heads spent half it's time watering my driveway. One of the heads, spends a quarter of it's time spraying a stone wall. And, a third head does not oscillate. I called LaDuke afterwards to voice my disappointment. I started with the billing for new irrigation heads. The response that I was given was that they had a bad technician that they hired and that nothing on the ticket indicated that they should use the salvaged heads. At this point, the conversation seemed very defensive and I did not feel that raising the remaining issues would be productive. No offer was made to correct issues with the system. I do not understand. They had been a great company. Maybe it was just a bad day, but I do not feel that I can rely on them anymore. I would have rated them lower, but I wanted to rate them based on my history with them.

Gary LaDuke is a professional. it is clear that he cares about the reputation of his company. He personally met with me several times to ensure that he could provide exactly what I wanted. In addition, he offered suggestions on improving some areas of the yard that were eroding due to extreme slope. We have had one of the hottest and driest Summers ever and my yard looks great. The job was started and finished on time. The crew was professional and courteous. Each day they showed up for work and informed my wife that they were on site so she wouldn't be startled if she saw someone walking past a window. During the job our invisible fence was cut, which was inevitable. They made sure it was fixed and months later it works pefectly. Overall I could not be happier with our experience. They were not initially the cheapest quote, but the added value and suggestions that they provided has convinced us that we made the best choice. We will call them again for our next outdoor project.

The technician who came out would not listen to what my wife was telling him. He didn't want to do what we wanted done. He tried to give us all kinds of reasons why adjusting things couldn't be done. It was a very unprofessional experience. After he upset my wife, she asked him to leave and only after those threats, he finally got done what we wanted. He wasn't aware of the reason he came to our house when he first got there. I would not recommend them to anyone just because of the possibility that you might get this particular employee.

It was very good. I have known them, and they have done other work in the area. I just didn't have any lighting before, so I just wanted to check and they did a great job with the lighting. It is a good additional thing to my house.

They did everything they said they would do. I was very happy with it. The price was very competitive. The quality of work was excellent. They have done everything we asked them to do. We had a lightning strike last year that completely destroyed it, and they came an repaired it at a very reasonable price. They did a real good job of getting it back up again. I would use this provider again.

I would highly recommend them. They were prompt, they did what they promised to do and they had the most reasonable price from three quotes we got. They stood behind their quote. We had one item fail and they fixed it.

Good experience. They were professional in preparing and presenting their estimate for installation of an irrigation system in my yard and power seeding it. However their estimate was about $500 higher than a comparable estimate that I accepted.

I have had Laduke's for years. We have had no trouble with them and they come when they say they will.

Day before install LaDuke had delivered all the irrigation pipe, rotors, heads and controllers. Left the pipe outside (counted it though), and brought the rest of the materials into the garage. The next day a three man crew came out and began marking the property with flags on where rotors and sprays would install per the hand drawing that Gary LaDuke completed; his son Brian came out and did the marking. While he was marking the other gentlemen (4 man crew total) dug the back flow ditch (30and quot; deep and 6and quot; wide) to run back flow from water meter to house. Once all flags were in the one worker connected series of pipes and then attached them to machine that dug the trench and pulled the pipe in all at the same time - fast and efficient. There is just a slit that is dug in your turf to install the pipe and two other workers tamped all those down before they left (couldn't even tell they did anything). Once pipes were installed then came the hard part (or should I say tedious part) of making all the connections (T-connections where pipes join) and installing the valves for the various zones. The total install took three days, and 1 of those days was a cool rainy and drab day. On the last day they tested the system and set all the rotors and sprays to make sure the rotors were overlapping (good coverage from one rotor to the next) and sprays were doing their thing. This is when they will give you a quick training on the controller (fairly simple) and provide the manuals to you. Last thing you need to do is accept and give final payment. Gary takes cash, check and credit card (not all companies take credit card, so ask if that's a path you want to go down). He asks for 1/2 a the start and 1/2 at the end, but depending on the length of your install you can probably wait and pay all at the end as we did. My perception was Gary didn't need any money up front to start the job - a good sign to me that he manages his money well. All in all I was pleased with the work they did and recommended them to a friend who was looking to have a system installed.

Mr. Laduke is a landscaping person and he is the one who moved the tree for me. I wasn’t here when he did it, but I talked to him on the phone. I was very pleased when he worked on my sprinkler system. That’s when they told me that they do landscaping and stuff. So, I called them back to move the tree. Everything about them was fine. I haven’t had them do any landscaping except having them move the tree. However, they do take care of my irrigation system if I have any problem. They come out when I ask them and they seem to know how to take care of things. They charged probably $150 for moving the tree. They came out right away when I called them. I would use their services again.
