Got a quote from Eager Beaver (EB) on March 28, 2017, to remove two trees, grind the stumps and leaving the chips, and trimming an oak tree. Work (invoice) done around April 21, 2017. Both trees were gone when I returned home, with two large piles of chips left from the stump grinding. I was able to start working on removing the chips in Oct 2017 and discovered that one of the stumps was still about 1/4 remaining, being buried under the chips. I called EB to schedule for them to look at the stump on Oct 18, 2017, but they came by on Oct 16, 2017. They called me and agreed that the remaining stump was overlooked and they would schedule their stump grinding crew by to take care of the issue. After not seeing anyone for a month, I called back on November 20, 2017, to ask for an update. They stated I was still on their list and they would get to me. Still, no one came by to fix the problem. I called back on December 29, 2017, and lady answering phone told me someone would call me back to discuss the issue. As of January 20, 2018, I have not heard from anyone. Obviously, they have my money and are not coming back.

Mark and his crew did a fantastic job. Fast and neat no mess left and great job on the stump grinding. This is why I love living in Indiana. Moved from Louisville nine years and I have been pleased with all work done. Plus great pricing. I would strongly recommend Eager Beaver for any of their services. Thanks again Mark and crew.

They came out the same day of our call to provide us an estimate for the work. It was done quickly and professionally. The receptionist was very kind and called to ensure we were pleased with the work that was completed.

Several trees were cut and removed and one stump ground. I am very pleased with their services.

They sent a good-sized crew and they did a very professional job. Very cautious not to damage the house or drive as they worked. They did a great job on the cleanup and even took a huge pile of limbs that I had stacked up after the most recent storm. They will be my tree service from now on and I will recommend them to anyone in need of tree service.

Great job. The only thing that could be better is removing the stump wood chippings.

Eager Beaver did a great job in a very short period of time because they had a large crew who were all very good. They cleaned up all the debris from the yard and hauled away. Very impressed with their work and politeness.

Mark was quick to provide a very competitive quote for the removal of some trees in our yard. The trees were cut down within a couple days of the quote; however, he was forced to wait to grind the stumps until the yard was dry to ensure he didn't tear up the yard. This was not an issue for us. We also had a very large tree fall during a storm and he was out to remove the tree within a day of contact.

We have used Eager Beaver and Mark Stephens since 2006 and he and his team always do an excellent job. They are very up front about the condition of the trees and work just as hard to save/salvage trees as recommend that they be cut down. They have the proper equipment to do any size job - safely and quickly. I recommend them to anyone looking for a reputable tree service company and their prices are very good as well.

The wood was NOT seasoned. It would not burn and was of no use at all. It was a complete waste of money.

Fast, professional job. Cleaned up the yard of all leaf and branch waste. We did not have him take away the stump grinding chips. Best price for the job, by far. We tipped each person and still it was a bargain.

They never returned any of our calls

I had a pair of holly trees in the back yard. They were young when we moved here in 1988. Over the years they have gotten taller and larger. One was under the perimeter of an enormous oak tree. So this holly tree became thin and stunted. It wasn't getting enough light and nutrients due to the oak tree. I realized it would need to be removed. I was recommend to Eager Beaver by a family member. I checked them out on Angie's List and gave them a call. Mark came by the next day and gave me a quote. I felt it was well worth it. He said he would like to work it into his schedule as it was not a large job. I assured him I was in no hurry. He called about 10 days later, and they were only here for about 45 minutes. About an hour later, the stump grinder group came by. They were here a short time as well. I had been told by someone else that this would have normally been a $400 tree to remove. My goal had been to remove the tree safely, with minimal cost, good cleanup afterwards, and consideration for my property. Eager Beaver has exceeded my expectations. I will use them in future.

Getting big trees cut down in a yard is not a cheap prospect, but Eager Beaver quoted me lower than most (not all) of the other companies I called. They gave me an estimate and they stuck to it. When they were doing their work, they were careful to not damage my yard. They were sensitive to the fact that it had just rained and planned accordingly. I was very pleased with their forward thinking. They were careful not to damage my house or my yard in the process of cutting down some very large trees. They acted like they really knew what they were doing with trees- they were far better than and quot;a bunch of guys with hacksawsand quot; looking to make money... I wanted one particular tree chopped down and the guy talked me out of it and told me that I would ruin the shading on my house. They were also aware of the overall health of the tree when having branches cut off. Overall, I felt great about the work these guys did and I have called them one more time (a year later) after this initial service call. The second time they did a stellar job just like before. Make sure that when you get an estimate for them to come to cut down whole trees you tell them you want them to grind the stumps down, otherwise I think they will just leave a stump.
