Rob the owner installed our irrigation system in 2011. When he installed it, he put our on/off valve in the crawl space. Over the years he has said numerous times when he comes to open or close that he wants to move it outside during the off season, and that he would not charge for that, but he never did it. Roll the clock ahead to 2020. We received our renewal letter, I paid the yearly fee. Rob usually opens in March or April. I contacted him mid-May to find out when he would be opening the system. He said within a week. He always texts me before he comes to make sure he has access. Friday evening rolls around during dinner time and some guy is standing at our door. No indication that he is from Xtreme such as a badge, hat, or car magnet. No text from Rob saying anyone was coming out that day. Long story short, husband texted Rob, Rob ends up saying he does not want to service systems like ours anymore that have the on/off valve in the crawl. What???? You are the one that put it in. You are the one that has said multiple times you were going to move it and never did. If Rob does not want to service his own systems he should have sent a letter at the beginning of the year. Instead he sends a renewal letter, we pay, and then he cancels us. I found a reputable company in the area that has already opened the lines. When I had called the lady that answered the phones said she had just had the same conversation from another person that was canceled by Xtreme last week. The funny thing about the whole situation is if Rob had ever said “I can move the valve outside for X amount” we would have said fine, do it, but he never did. We did get a refund check from Rob this week.

Very bad experience. Initially, contacted Xtreme Irrigation on 5/1/2019 and submitted plat plan as requested. Installation of underground irrigation system was scheduled to be completed on 6/14/2019 ahead of sod installation which made it easier for both homeowner and irrigation company. Plat plan was deleted by Rob Smith, owner of Xtreme Irrigation, and never reviewed. Part of my underground lines were installed on adjacent vacant lot and not on my property. The utility boxes were used as the property line which all resided on the adjacent lot. When i discovered this, I asked Xtreme Irrigation to move the lines and sprinkler heads impacted to my side of the property. I was told it was my fault since he flagged placement of heads and stated it would cost me $1000 to move them. Even when I finally agreed to pay this additional cost, he refused to move them before trenching started of the adjacent lot by Ryan Homes. As a result, the main line and three zones were trenched and broken when construction started on adjacent lot. I told Xtreme Irrigation about it and they ignored my contact request. I had to hire another Irrigation company with impeccable credentials to address the problems which took 4.5 days to repair, since there were many other problems and issues discovered with the installation. Other issues included zone separation, wrong heads used on zone 4, back-flow device was not installed at the right elevation, rain sensor was installed under roof overhang keeping it dry from rain detection, and many others too numerous to mention here. I have a detailed written report of all problems repaired and pictures. Some pictures are attached of the major repairs of the irrigation system done by another irrigation company. When I contacted Xtreme Irrigation to discuss reimbursement of my repairs, they stated it was not their responsibility and repeated it was my fault the underground lines were installed on the wrong property. This company is very unprofessional and does not deal like a reputable business. When I asked for a written quote, I got only verbal quotes which were not clear and concise, so the cost of the system was more money than expected. There was no contract signed or presented. I had to take a picture of my invoice because the customer does not get a hard copy or email of one. Unbelievable! My back-flow test done on 6/14/2019 was never filed with Citizens Water and Aqua Flow, 3rd party used by Citizens Water for back-flow registration. I had to get Citizens Water to reach out to Xtreme Irrigation to follow up and file my back-flow test report. It was faxed the same day after contact. This was the worse experience I had with any company in my whole lifetime. This company is slow to respond and does not stand behind their work for new installations regardless who is at fault for any issues or misunderstandings. Their installation methods and quality of work are in question. Buyer beware of this company.

I DO NOT recommend this company. Rob came out to repair our shut off valve prior to turning our system back on after the winter. This repair was supposed to be completed in May or June but I never received an invoice. When I called, I was told that one of their workers was lying to them, stating that work had been completed and paid for when it had not been. They scheduled for the repair to be done as soon as they were able. Rob came to the house to perform the repair and within 10 minutes came to the door in a panic, stating that I had to call the Citizen's Emergency Line. I come outside to see water all over the sidewalk and in our yard. He said that the pipe from the street was leaking. I called the Citizen's Emergency line and they stated that the pipes are our responsibility, they only own the meter and that if we have someone working on those pipes, they are responsible for any repairs. I still asked them to come out and assess, which they said they would. Rob then says that he has "somewhere else to be" and to call him when they come. I could not believe that he was going to leave when this was an emergency! Citizen's showed up and I called Rob. It took him 45 minutes to get back to our house. He argued with the Citizen's employee, stating that it was their fault and their responsibility. Citizen's told me that it appeared that Rob had caused this leak. After Citizen's left, I asked if he was going to pay for this repair. Rob was adamant that he didn't cause this leak. I asked him to explain that to me, since we have had no problems with a leak from our meter pit, our bill has not been high, nor has Citizen's ( who reads our meter in that pit every month) informed us of a problem. I asked Rob to pay for this repair. He told me that the pipes were leaking when he got here but he continued with the repair anyway. I couldn't believe that he just told me that he didn't cause this and then tell me that it was like this when he got here but continued with the repair anyway. I asked again for him to be responsible, do the right thing and pay for this repair. He told me "that's just not how business works." I then started calling plumbers to get this fixed, because now our water to the house was shut off. Since it was around July 4th, we couldn't get a plumber out for 4 days to fix this. That means that we were without water to our house for 4 days!!! When we finally got it fixed, it was $400. The first thing the plumbing company asked was if our irrigation company was going to pay for this repair. They said that whatever Rob was trying to do, he caused the pipes to come apart, causing the leak. I called Rob's assistant and told her what had been happening. She was surprised because Rob had told her that he fixed everything for us even though it was Citizen's fault. I explained that Rob actually refused to help us and take responsibility. She asked for me to send her our plumbing bill and she would talk to Rob. I continued to call and ask for Rob to pay for this repair or to notify his insurance that this occurred. He continued to refuse to take responsibility. I am blown away by this business's negligence and poor customer service. Rob has lied to me and his own employees about what occurred. He refused to pay for this repair even after he admitted his negligence in telling me about the supposed leak. I am also afraid that our system has not been properly cared for, due to the fact that the person who was supposed to be caring for our system, winterizing it and doing this repair, lied about all his work. When I asked Rob about this, he denied it, even after his assistant had already told me what happened regarding that employee. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. If they make a mistake, you are on your own.

I was very pleased with the work, however, the thing that kept him out of the "A" category was a lack of communication. I discussed this with him and he indicated they were very busy. I accepted that and would hire again.

it went really well. minimal damage to the grass. Rob works hard to finish the job in a timely manner and he's very knowledgable about his products. We plan to put a fence in and he work around where the fence would go. Extremely happy with his service. We also had our downspouts buried.

Rob came up with a great solution to watering our flowers along the retaining wall. He installed a misting type of line that curves with the wall. It made such a huge difference. If you have a lot of flowers to water, and hate to water, get this installed. It was worth every penny, and in the long run you will save money on the water bill.

Rob continues to provide great service, at a great price. You don't have to remind him to open or close your system. He has a schedule, and lets you know when he will be there, and always shows up. There are no hassles ever. The total price quoted above was for the entire season. Well worth it.

It was installed in two days total. Rob was the only one that actually put markers where the sprinklers would go. He showed me where they would water. Once it was installed he showed me how to program the system. He used all Rainbird equipment. He has opened and closed the system for the last two winters. I don't have to call and schedule it. They let me know when I'm on the schedule.

We were very pleased with the installation of our irrigation system by Xtreme. Rob did everything that he promised and more. I absolutely love that they put in separate lines for the parkway so water isn't shooting across the sidewalk and drenching people as they walk by. The overall coverage is excellent, and there are no hot spots to be found in our yard. In the year since we had the system installed we have had Xtreme close our system twice and open once. They were very quick and efficient, and we have not had any issues with lines that were damaged from the winter. Great job all around!

It only took three days to complete and it appears to be a quality job. Rob/crew took pride in their work making sure to minimize damage to my yard and to clean up after themselves. Rob, the owner, did a lot of the work himself and made sure everything was satisfactory. The real test will begin next Summer but I have no doubt that Rob is a phone call away should I need anything.

Wasted my time guarding my yard. Encroachment issues cause a lot of conflicts and legal fees. This defines this company's business, therefore, they need to be more serious about where the property markers are before they start. Reply to the Contractor's reply: The bottom line is that this company was installing its products across property lines in violation of its approved work order, the property plot plans and the neighborhood covenants, let alone what the county has on the books for encroachment issues. The property was clearly marked and they pulled the survey markers in order to encroach and was CAUGHT doing so. They should have known better even if their customer, my neighbor, wanted something different than what was authorized. This company's remarks here on Angie's List show that they are not a company to deal with, for example, the personal attacks in their reply. Also, how my own property improvements, such as a fence or being and quot;likedand quot; in the neighborhood, has nothing to do with them installing their products on property that they were not authorized to be on in the first place. It is still NOT my neighbor's property for them to be installing their products on. Again, judge for yourself Angie's List clients, avoid these people.
Description of Work: Irrigation system installed in neighbor's yard. They did not verify property line before work started. For a business that sets "defacto property lines" with their products, I find it hard to believe that they did not run a line then paint the yard before digging. Ended up pulling out part of the system that was on my side of the property line.
