Van Croshier Concrete

We had Vicki and Van come out for an estimate of which they were on time and very helpful. Vicki got a quote to us within the next couple days. We even had them come out a second time to redo some things in the original estimate, of which they sent us a new one that same day. We had a wait awhile for them to come and do the job, but this was do to weather issues which were out of their control. Their crew was on time and professional. They cleaned up anything that happened to be trash. The first day they came and did the forms for the sidewalk and removed the concrete from the window well that our previous homeowner had put in. They even left some gravel to put back into the well the following day when we would set it ourselves. On the second day, they came and poured the sidewalk and at our request, set the window well in the back, caulked it for us, left additional supplies and didn't charge us (I added on some extra for their trouble). On the last day they came back and removed the forms. The sidewalk looks great. We are very happy. Little Van did an excellent job for us and Van came out to check the work. We would definitely use them again for other projects. They went above and beyond to make sure that we were satisfied.

Van and his wife Vicky come over to estimate the job the day after I called. They were very pleasant and professional and are very knowledgeable about concrete. We scheduled the work the day after Memorial Day, but due to weather we were delayed by a week. When the work began, Vicky came with the crew and they tore out the old concrete and poured the new areas in the same day. Van's son, who is also named Van, was the crew leader and was extremely nice and answered all my questions. He even offered to make a space for our 4 children to put their hand prints in the new concrete, which we did. They came the next day and sealed the new areas and power washed the old areas. Everything looks great! They did a wonderful job.

Van and Vicki were very professional, prompt and courteous. The work was supervised by their son, Van, who was also very professional. Their crew worked diligently to get the project finished in due time. I would recommend them highly for any job.

This is a fantastic company to work with. They replied to my request for an estimate the same day, arrived on time and sent a prompt estimate. Once we agreed to the job, a date was set and the work was completed right on time. They are friendly, professional, and do great work. I would recommend them to anyone!

Fabulous. The rain delayed us by two days, but everything went quickly once they were able to start the job. Everything went well.

VC was superb to deal with-very responsive, punctual, very professional in all aspects. Very knowledgeable, very transparent about all stages of work. Originally contracted to remove and replace only one section of service walk in addition to driveway sections. Upon commencement of work, crew discovered two other sections of the walk needed to be replaced. VC pulled these out and replaced without any extra charge. In addition, customer walked on sealed concrete too soon, leaving some footprints. VC immediately went back, cleaned these away and resealed the section at no extra charge. Crew, Mr. Croshier, his wife Vicky, and son Van, were all very courteous and easy to work with. Everyone was comfortable with customer being present during all phases of work, welcomed and addressed fully all questions and comments. All work was done promptly and on schedule. Crew took great care with and pride in their work. There were absolutely no hassles. Crew cleaned up well after work was completed, replaced disturbed dirt and sod, and re-seeded bare spots.

Requested information via email. Vicki Croshier responded quickly. After discussing what we needed over email. Van and Vicki were here the next evening and was able to quickly review the issue. I had an estimate by the weekend and they started work the next week. They completed the job as plan and left the concrete covered. With the holidays and the ice we received, we left the covers on an extra week. I called to see if when they were coming to get the covers. They missed coming to get them and stopped the next morning. Overall, they had great service.

Work was excellent. Showed up on time, quickly analyzed what needed to be done. Made careful measurements, Provided a detailed estimate. Did the work expertly. Work team very cooperative. Clean up after the project was superb.

Called them on Friday. They came and gave an estimate on Saturday, Removed old pavement following Wednesday and poured new drive on Thursday. Sealed concrete on Friday and cut expansion joints and covered drive with insulation blankets to protect during next few cold nights. Removed blankets and barricades following Wednesday and I have an excellent new driveway. They called back at least 2 times during work to be sure that I was satisfied wit how things were going. I would recommend them highly.

We took estimates from three concrete contractors and three asphalt contractors. Van Croshier's estimate was in the middle of the concrete contractors and a couple thousand higher than the asphalt contractors'. Van and his wife Vickie met with us to discuss the project and took their time to explain to us in detail what they would do. Van thought of several things that no other contractor mentioned. Given the permanence of concrete and Van Croshier's apparent professionalism, we felt the extra expense was worth it. We negotiated a fair price via e-mail. Van Croshier also offered to do a couple of extra things for us at no charge and agreed to haul away for free some old brick that had been lying around our property for years. The work was scheduled to begin the day before we left for vacation so the concrete would cure while we were gone. The crew arrived on time and did the work efficiently and well and finished that day, except for cutting the concrete, which had to wait until it had cured somewhat. I watched most of the process and the workers were careful, professional, and friendly and explained what they were doing and why they were doing it. Van Croshier's son oversaw the entire process and Van and Vickie returned about two weeks later to inspect the job and pick up the final check. Our home looks much nicer now than with the old asphalt drive and we are very pleased with everything about the work they did for us.

Overall we were impressed with the owner and his wife. They were very upfront and gave us some options. They took into account our concerns. The work took longer then we expected. There were a few problems. They ended up clogging the sewage line and damaged the grass in the back yard. They did pay for the sewage line to be unclogged and came back to plant some grass seed. We were very happy with the end results.

The whole thing went great! Van (the owner) and his wife Vicki (she schedules appointments and any follow-ups) are absolutely fantastic people and extremely professional. My husband and I had saved money to get our driveway paved, but still didn't have enough to get the job done. We wanted our entire driveway paved, but weren't able to afford it. After we got a few estimates, we realized we wouldn't be able to have it done. Van and Vicki knew how badly we wanted our driveway paved and suggested that we pave half for now. They suggested paving from our fence line to our garage so we could finish all of our landscaping projects and keep our dogs from having to run around on the gravel (one of our dogs was eating the gravel so we wanted it gone pronto). This was a brilliant proposal, so we went with it. Our house was built in 1927, so the stairs leading to the front door and the side door were in bad shape and very narrow. They tore them out and re-poured the stairs, making them wider with even rises. We now have a landing on our side steps which is great since the previous steps made it impossible to open the door when carrying groceries. The driveway looks fantastic, as do the stairs and we couldn't be happier. There were only a few things that could have been better. The workers were extremely polite, but they left quite a bit of trash and cigarette butts strewn about our yard (the gravel-eating dog had a blast finding all the trash and toting it around in her mouth). I'm sure if I would have mentioned this to Van or Vicki they would have come out and cleaned it up, but I didn't bother. We FULLY intend on hiring Van Croshier to pave the remainder of our driveway. They're absolutely wonderful people and a pleasure to do business with.

They were great to work with. They were punctual about the initial estimate and came to discuss our additional ideas about the plan. On the day the work started they were well under way at the time they said they would arrive. The whole project was done in a little over 3 days. Van Croshier was very helpful in explaining the work and in improving on our ideas for how to do it.

The employees were very courteous, prompt and did a very good job. Our driveway and sidewalks are 11 years old and when they were done with the job the concrete looked new.

Excellent experience from initial contact to final billing. Company was punctual with time of estimate, estimate and start of job. Extra care was taken to work around existing tree and flowers. Mr. Croshier was present during most of the work, and workers provided us with a new curved sidewalk, we are very proud to have. Work site was left in better condition than it was found. Needless to say, we are extremely satisfied.

The estimate was very prompt and they were able to start on the work in a very reasonable time frame. Van recommended a couple of ways it could be done so I just told him to go with whatever he wanted. I had no reservations about doing that, as I felt very comfortable with him on the initial meeting. It is really quite beautiful, the workmanship is wonderful. The crews were here some each day for a solid week completing the job. He then came back out to meet with me to make sure I was happy with the work that was done. The exposed aggregate was a little more expensive but definitely worth it.

They came out when they said they would. They did the job exactly like they said they would. Their pricing was on the low end for the market. I would recommend them and use them again.

This company was very professional & friendly and respectful. They had reasonable prices and were very easy to schedule. I recommend them highly. They finished the job by cleaning, leveling, sanded all the little jobs. I didn't have to do. Suggestions were great. Loved the finished product.

Patio looks great. Van and his wife were great to work with. They were able to schedule us in quickly and finished the work in less than a week. Cleaned up the mess afterwards so we were able to enjoy the patio right away.

Van was a pleasure to work with. He was prompt, efficient, punctual (at the job when he said he would be!), reasonably priced, professional and even cleaned up afterwards.

Van came out and gave me a professional measurement, not a guess like some. Quoted a firm price, added some suggestions that we liked. Work was completed in about four day. Great clean up, added top soil and seeded work area. Looks great lots of compliments.

They did an excellent job. I asked for a little bit of changes and extra work and they did it without charging me for it. The job was well done and it looks really good.

He was patient, all the guys were great. Clean up was great. They were REALLY knowledgeable; more than just about the patio!

No nicer person to work with. He is very thoughtful and kind man and he deserves better than an A+. His good work ethic is in concrete, and we have the driveway to prove it. He should be very proud of his work.
