On March 16 on sent an email through Angie's List and I still have not hear from anyone again. I tried to call again on March 16 and it went to voice mail again. The answering system was very generic so I am not sure that the phone number is listed correctly. They did not answer with the business name, only repeating back the phone number I dialed. They seem to be a really good company based on their Angie's List reviews. It is hard to find quality people to do the work.

This was a difficult job with little room in which to work. The work was completed as timely as weather allowed. They were completely professional. They did a wonderful job. I wish I had done this years ago.

After getting several quotations for the job, I settled on using Van Croshier Concrete to replace my existing asphalt driveway with a concrete driveway. While Van was not the lowest quotation that I recieved, I was confident that he would do a good job after reading other reviews and receiving a personal recommendation from a third party. I also felt that Van "got it" - I wanted to expand my driveway, add a basketball goal and remove some of the existing slope of the drive. After talking over my wants with Van and other contractors, I felt confident that Van could provide the driveway that I wanted. The crew arrived when scheduled and didn't waste any time throughout the entire three-day project. They did an excellent job of cleaning up the worksite every night and after the job was complete. Communication with the crew and with Van was great. As an engineering-type, I want to know the details and why something is being done the way it is. Both Van and his crew were good at explaining the process and why it was being done the way they were doing it. I wholeheartedly recommend Van Croshire Concrete and would use them again for future projects.

I returned from my mom's in Ill. to find the guys had started earlier that morning with the tear-out and the walk was gone in the first load of debris removal. They worked steadily, after a lunch break, and got the prep work all done on Wed. On Thurs. they returned for the pouring of the concrete, and by quitting time, the entire concrete area was poured and sealed. The men were pleasant to work with, answered all my questions and concerns. And my concrete is beautiful and a joy to walk on and drive on, even though it isn't fancy. It's so much better than the old one!

They were prompt for the estimate. They came out and they were very knowledgeable. They really knew what they were talking about and they put all of the other companies to shame. Their price was right in line with all of the other companies. They talked with me about a problem that I am having with the concrete and have talked with me about a way to repair it. They were very polite and responsive. They responded to me via email.

We are very happy with the work that was done. The new porch and sidewalk look great and really give us a better front to our home. The sidewalk has a more natural flow as we travel to and from the driveway. The driveway and garage floor also look great. The crew was very experienced. They knew exactly what they were doing and everyone did their job well. They were good at explaining things when I had questions. Any concerns that we had were quickly addressed to our satisfaction. I recommend Van Croshier Concrete.

The schedule went exactly as we were told and finished on time. Van & his wife were delightful to work with and very professional. They visited the job to inspect daily until it was completed. They suggested several improvements which we accepted and we are thrilled with the outcome. The cost was very competitive with the other bids we obtained but we felt they took the inititive to show us options from their expertise. They did exactly as they quoted with outstanding results. I highly recommend them!

They were very punctual and professional. I put all this work off till the end of summer. I asked for an estimate right before I was going out of town. I got that estimate. They explained to me in detail everything they thought needed to be done. They offered to make these repairs and cut joints where they could see that there might be a future problem. I am pleased with what they did to my driveway. It?s a big driveway.

They did an excellent job. The "apron" looks much better now than when it was new. They did all of the work in one day and were here exactly when they said they would be.

The process from estimate to completed project was seamless. We had our project done while out of town and e-mail communication kept me informed of the progress and ultimate completion of the project. The quality of the finished project was top notch. I would recommend and will use this company in the future.

The work was excellent. Van was here the morning of the tear-out and pour, and we discussed the plan for the steps. They weren't as even as I'd like, as far as the depth of each step, so we discussed that and they recut the wood to make the steps more even. I'd asked for curved corners, and they knew and already had prepared for that. In the back, they followed my contractor's markings for the piers for a seamless installation. Concrete looks great. All that said, there were some communication problems. Part of that was due to a death in the Croshier family, but there were times when calls weren't returned for days or a scheduled appearance never happened (and w/no call). All of that is part of professionalism, to me. So, I had to knock down the grades a bit. I don't know what they'd be like to deal with when there wasn't a family emergency, but I'd give them a try if you don't have a tight time frame.

The new garage floor looks great and they fixed an ongoing problem that allowed water to pool into our garage. They cleaned up after themselves and even fixed a broken part of our sidewalk free of charge. I'd definitely use Van Croshier's services again.

I love my new driveway! Van came out immediately after I called to give me an estimate and told me what he could do to make our driveway more usable and nicer looking, like widening it to fit 2 cars and lining it up better with the house. I had a few other estimates that were not nearly as thorough, nor were the people as prompt or as friendly. Van's wife Vicki was a saint in answering all of my questions, some of which were terribly stupid, I'm sure! She emailed me back and forth regularly. The work was completely done while we were on vacation. There were delays due to rain, but we were updated continuously. We returned home to a brand new, beautiful driveway. I questioned the spotty appearance, but they told me all about the time it takes to fully cure. They were right on! We also thought our sidewalk seal job was a little spotty, and Van's son immediately came out and fixed the problem areas. I was thrilled with this company, the job they did, their responsiveness and patience with me, and I would definitely recommend them.

First class Job. Installed drain under drive, tilled the edge of lawn and leveled area to plant grass up to edge.

Called and made appointment with Van for next day. Van showed up on time and was very friendly. The estimate was to remove the old front porch steps that had sunk due to some very industrious chipmunks. I had tried having it pumped up and lifted but that did not work. Van was very knowledgeable and explained why the steps had originally sunk and how the work could have been done to avoid that. I asked him to give me an estimate based on architects drawings for new porch steps and he agreed. He had an estimate to me within 2 days and the price was competitive. I did decide to go with the architect's firm, but I would have had no qualms using Van either.

The company was extremely easy to work with. During the visit for an estimate, Van & Vicki explained their process and made recommendations (such as changing the grade from garage to back of driveway). They promptly provided a quote and upon acceptance scheduled the job. The work crew arrived within a day of the schedule and were very careful with respect to the underground phone/internet cables and the sprinkler heads. They handled the job very fast, from tear-out through pouring and finish, with almost no damage to the yard and flower beds (a pleasant surprise!). Bottom line: they provided high value for a fair price. That is hard to get these days.

Both Van and his wife came out to my home to give me a quote. They both were very professional and courteous. They both were very prepared with pictures of other jobs and made some recommendations that suited my home perfectly. I had other estimates that were lower in price, but when you value any work done on your home, you want it done professionally. The main reason I decided to go with Van Croshier Concrete was because of his experience and knolwedge of the business. He took the time to explain what was going to be done step-by-step. He also offered addresses of jobs that he just completed so I could look at their work first hand. He gave me a date range that he could start and finish and he was completed well before the target completion date. I would definitely recommend them to others. Great work!!

Outstanding. Every step was great. We only had one bump (old bricks crumbling) and they only stopped to make sure it was something I wanted fixed before they pressed on. Van and his wife came out and were very approachable. Their quote was extremely fair for the work that they do. I would ask them to comeback anytime to do work for us.

Workers were there when promised and work went smoothly, except that they were unable to get all the concrete needed in one day, so an extra day was needed.

We had Vicki and Van come out for an estimate of which they were on time and very helpful. Vicki got a quote to us within the next couple days. We even had them come out a second time to redo some things in the original estimate, of which they sent us a new one that same day. We had a wait awhile for them to come and do the job, but this was do to weather issues which were out of their control. Their crew was on time and professional. They cleaned up anything that happened to be trash. The first day they came and did the forms for the sidewalk and removed the concrete from the window well that our previous homeowner had put in. They even left some gravel to put back into the well the following day when we would set it ourselves. On the second day, they came and poured the sidewalk and at our request, set the window well in the back, caulked it for us, left additional supplies and didn't charge us (I added on some extra for their trouble). On the last day they came back and removed the forms. The sidewalk looks great. We are very happy. Little Van did an excellent job for us and Van came out to check the work. We would definitely use them again for other projects. They went above and beyond to make sure that we were satisfied.
