great experience start to finsih. spent time explaining everything on inspection. kept in touch on start up date. responsive to concerns and added a driveway repair at no additional cost.

It was an excellent experience. Crew arrived as scheduled and had everything torn out and new forms placed in one day. The next day they poured all concrete and applied sealant. They came back on a third day to cut the concrete and to backfill edges with dirt and clean up the site. Not only did they handle the concrete work, but they put the fill from the new sidewalk where they old sidewalk had been and levelled it out. I could not be happier with how the new driveway and sidewalk look. Have already received compliments from neighbors regarding how it has enhanced the look of my property. Their crew was courteous, friendly, and very respectful of my property. Everything was cleaned up at the end of the job. Felt very comfortable with every aspect of the job. Van Croshier and team provide a very comprehensive quotation so it is absolutely clear what is being provided. They are also very informative about the process and really discuss what you want..... a much better experience than with other parties that quoted..... not nearly as detailed as Van Croshier. Very, very professional.

They were very nice and professional. He actually had suggestions about what I should do and I liked what he suggested. They came out, they did the work quickly, and it looks great. They did quality work and they were not pushy.

We had an incredibly positive experience with Mr. Croshier and his crew. The porch and sidewalk were out in 3 hours. His estimate of time (3 days) was right on, allowing for an extra half day to make up a half day lost to rain. Attention to detail was amazing. The crew of ten were on time, pleasant, worked very well together, and didn't mind my interrupting with questions. Every concern was addressed and managed. They wasted no time, worked hard, and cleaned up everything. The price was much better than other quotes, but that wasn't the major reason for selection. I felt he had the knowledge and expertise to give us a quality product, and he didn't let us down. I would highly recommend this company for concrete work.

OUTSTANDING! Van Croshier poured a sidewalk for us at the end of 2009 and we are completely satisfied with the results. They used their imagination to make it with curves and it is very pleasing in appearance. We have received many compliments on this. Based on this experience, we contracted for Van Croshier to build a retaining wall (8'x50') and a new driveway. The results of their work exceeded our expectations and is beautiful to behold. The retaining wall was necessary since we contracted with an Angies List provider for a timer wall and that contractor failed miserably - wall started leaning at 3 feet and the construction methods were extremely poor. We had contacted Van Croshier earlier for an estimate and had decided to go with a timber wall. Van Croshier honored that estimated price even though they had to remove a large number of timbers and start the project from scratch. They even did a good job smoothing out the landscape after the wall was done. I had two other estimates from contractors for a timber wall that were 50% and 100% more than what Van Croshier estimated. Van Croshier could have charged more considering they had to do extra work to remove the failed wall. They are honorable contractors. They pay great attention to detail, they are knowledgable, and take great pains to keep you informed and insure that what they are doing meets what the customer wants. I cannot recommend them more highly.

Was the lowest of 3 estimates and the most friendly and helpful, came out twice (once in evening, once on Saturday) to review details and choices as to color, pattern etc. Had pictures of other driveways they'd done and sample books. Very knowledgeable and experienced. We have a slightly tricky curved driveway and Van worked hard to make sure the border and expansion cuts would be as we wanted them. We also asked that a small stoop in front of the side door be ramped and he did an amazing job of gently sloping it. Finished job in 3 days and we were driving on it a week after the work began.

Everything went fine. He was well liked, came promptly, worked fast, and did a good job. I would use him again.

We did not use this company for our driveway, however they were very prompt and professional in coming out and giving us a quote for replacing our drive. I especially liked the fact that they gave me their quote via email. Very professional and pleasant people to talk with.

They were very detailed in their contract as to what would be done. Their price for the service was very reasonable when compared with competing companies. We were very pleased with their work, would use them again, and would recommend them highly.

The driveway looks better now than it did when it was new. I cannot say enough about the owners and the work that they did. I felt that they were extremely reasonable in their price. We recommended them to our neighbors, and would highly recommend them to others for concrete work. Update: 3/28/12 When they finished the driveway, they didn't do it in straight lines. I feel that had a manager been on site, this would not have occured. Unfortunately when I called them to notify them of the error on the finish, they told me that it was too late to fix.

The entire experience was great from start to finish. Van and his wife were on time to do the estimate, and his crew was on time each day of work. I could not have ask for a better experience. The people, the quality of work and the price was excellent. We will be using his services again.

Great experience! Asked for an estimate on replacing the asphault driveway and crumbling/tilted sidewalk. Van and Vicki took the time to discuss all of the issues that led our driveway and walk to be in these conditions and ways to prevent it from happening in the future. He clearly knew his business, discussed the importance of the base any driveway is applied on, ways to improve drainage etc. They scheduled for 3-4 weeks after the estimate and showed up to start exactly on that day despite all the rain we got that month. The job went very quickly (started Tuesday morning, completed by Friday morning), the crew was responsive and cleaned up fairly well each day. They ripped out bushes in front of our house that I had wanted to get rid of, replaced an additional sidewalk section on the other side of the drive to improve drainage, and changed the layout of the walk once we saw the outlines, all without any extra charges at all. After the job found a couple chunks of concrete with border stones we asked them to leave; emailed asking if they would dispose of them and Vicki had them picked up before I got home that day! The only criticism was that we had asked for a drawing to be able to see the proposed shape of the sidewalk which we never got; this would have alleviated the guys having to change the path several times. Quite pleased that a beautiful concrete driveway (12 neighbors have commented on how great it looks and want his name) cost me the same price or less than getting a new asphault one that would need to be sealed every year.

came to give the estimate, seemingly nice people. it took 1 mo to get it scheduled and they didn't call even the day they were to do it, unbelievably poor follow up! make sure they completely understand what you want, make sure everything is in writing on the estimate bc they change their story & say they would do things (like move trees) to get the quote & they do not move trees. they did send plans to our homeowners asscoc in a timely manner etc, but follow up & follow through are huge with us. They simply never ever called us again bc we questioned them about why they said they would move the tree when they never planned on doing it. Super unprofessional, we had to start all over and during the busy summer season.

They came out and were very professional but they never gave us a estimate. I called and left a message about the estimate and they never returned my call. I don't understand why they can not just say if they don't want the job instead of leaving people hanging.

Croshier Concrete performed two projects for us. The first one, which was done on 5/28/10, was skimcoating and repairing a very noticeable crack on one of the steps of our front porch. Our front porch had severe scaling that had occurred. We were called in advanced to let us know what time to expect them. They went over again the process that was going to be done. Asked if we had any questions prior to beginning the job. They completed the job in one day and it looked so much better! We had only wished that they could have covered the flower bed to prevent the chipping getting into them prior to power washing. We had them come back on July 12 to pour a 12 X 12 octagon shaped patio and two steps adjoining our back porch to the patio. Van, Jr. was absolutely great in trying to suggest a really nice look that we were trying to achieve and to work within our budget. He suggested saw cutting the existing porch, which we were wanting to enhance the look, into 3 X 3 saw cuts, and continue the same look on the new patio. It looks like tiles. When the team arrived, Van took time to show us the design by using chalk marks. He wanted to be sure that I was satisfied with the look before they began. Again, explaining the process of what would take place step-by-step and asked if I had any questions. He assured me that we would be very happy with how it would turn out. He was right; we were so PLEASED with the final results and have received so many positive comments from everyone who has seen it!! The job took approximately three days to complete.

It went very well. Our drive is only 11 years old, but the apron had cracked badly resulting in several holes; the drive had numerous "chirps and pops" from freezing water (we had never sealed the drive--did'nt know you were supposed to) and a few cracks. Complete replacement wasn't in our budget. Van recommended just replacing the apron and city walk portion (too damaged to repair with any success), then skimming the worst of the pops, filling the cracks and then sealing with a color sealer (like stain) to provide a uniform color, so the drive wouldn't look patched. Van and his crew did a great job and were very patient with us regarding color selection--they actually painted a smaller section of the drive several times with different colors to help us decide.

Their work was excellent. They were prompt. They came one day to prep and returned the next to finish the job. We were very satisfied with the outcome and we get a lot of compliments on the look of it.

He was absolutely fantastic. I had three different people give me estimates for the job. He gave me the lowest bid. He poured concrete outside my garage. He poured about 1000 square feet of concrete. The job cost me $3800. A day before the actual work, the guys came out and did the grating and put the gravel. They were about 7 guys and they stayed for 4 hours. The next day, they came out and poured the concrete. There were 8 guys on the second day. They were all professionals. Everybody knew what their job was. They were very responsive. They came out on time. The guy came out at night to look at what I needed and to give me the estimate. He told me that he would e-mail me the estimate, and 36 hours later, I got the estimate. The next day, I told him that I wanted him to do the job and a week and a half later, the job was completed. He had one guy, who had worked for him for 25 years. I will use this company again in the future.

He came when scheduled and said since it was a little job, his price would be only if he had something else in my general vicinity. We ended up using someone else who was willing to schedule us right away.

The Croshiers came out and we explained all that we needed done and Vicki and Van described what they needed to do to fix the three projects. The time they spent explaining what needed to be done and possible alternatives exceeded what other bidders did, and since the patio work was in a fenced in back yard, those that left the bids in the mailbox did not include this additional small work in the bid. Rain delayed an immediate start to the project, but once they started, they did the work quickly. The porch and walkway now look like they were done by a professional, and we are very pleased with the work.

I was very pleased with the overall performance. Parents were coming and going and the work crew would delay the sawing of cement or the breaking up of a cement pad until the parents were either in the building or in their cars. In watching the crew work I was impressed by their work ethic as there was no standing around, very little direction was needed and everyone pitched in whereever help was needed. It had been a long time since I have seen a crew work this efficiently. Needless to say, I was impressed!

We had a fantastic experience with Van Croshier. Van and his wife arrived to provide an estimate and were very willing and able to discuss the different options we had for the area. They were extremely personable which was a change from the individuals we had met for the other estimates. Van Croshier's estimate was in line with the others which was a blessing as they were our favorite from the beginning. They were able to fit us in as we had a deadline which was within weeks from the estimate date. They also made sure to grade the rest of the area per our plans for landscaping. Overall I'd say they went above and beyond and made this expereince a pleasure.

Very professional, experienced, and had good ideas. Van was on site himself for much of the work. Only downgraded price a little because I had another quote that was several hundred dollars less. Chose Van because I had the confidence the job would be done right. So far I'd say it was.

Excellent story from beginning to end. Vicki was extremely responsive to my first inquiry. We quickly scheduled a time for Vicki and Van to come out and view the work. They were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Within the next day, we had an estimate that I considered reasonable compared to other estimates. Not the lowest and not the highest. We immediately gave the go ahead and they were on-site in two weeks. The work took a few days but it was hampered some by rain and a weekend in the middle. Overall, my wife and I are thrilled with the work. It was well worth the investment, and I highly recommend this team.

I called Van Croshier Concrete to schedule an estimate, and one of the first questions I asked was whether or not they would drive to Greenwood to provide an estimate for a job. The woman on the phone said that probably...but it depended on the size of the job. She asked me what we were looking to do. I explained to her what I was hoping to have done, and she said that she would go ahead and set up a time with me later in the day (5pm) to have the estimate. My husband left work a little early so he could be here when the estimate was done. Unfortunately, 1/2 hour before the scheduled appointment, I got a phone call from the same lady that I had spoken with earlier in the day. She said that she had spoken with the gentleman who was scheduled to come out to give the estimate, and he said that the job was probably going to be too small, and that they weren't coming down. Essentially...they canceled their appointment with us 1/2 hour before the scheduled time.
