Troy was fantastic to work with. He explained our options to us and made recommendations based on our needs. Once we made our choices everything went just as he said it would, and the new deck looks fabulous. One of his crew worked on Saturday of Labor Day weekend to finish our job. The whole process exceeded our expectations.

Gathered three quotes and Troy-built was the most reasonable. There were delays during the start due to the weather, and we had an event deadline. The Troy-built team did a very professional job designing and building our deck, including moving the electrical and installing new lighting. The deck was completed just in time for our event. Overall, I would recommend Troy-built if you are considering replacing an old deck or installing new.

Troy was fantastic to work with from beginning to end. When we first met to talk over my ideas, he was well dressed and professional. He came with a laptop loaded with pics to show his past work. We went over different design ideas, different materials, and also ways to get the most bank for my buck. In less than a week, he had a well laid out drawing that put my ideas and needs on paper as if I had drawn it myself. He quoted two different deck layouts, the prices for both cedar and Azek decking, as well as the price of an optional large cedar pergola. We decided to go with Azek decking with the cedar pergola, but saved a bit by using cedar for the privacy screen, railings, and skirting. I decided on a few slight changes along the way, and Troy was always able to respond within a day with the price changes and his input. When it came time to build, Troy’s crew was top notch. They kept a reasonably clean site, showed up every day around 9:00, and were cleaned up and gone for the day around 4:30. I appreciated them not starting work while my neighbors still might have been asleep. And I appreciated his status reports every day. It took 7 working days from start to finish. Ultimately, his craftsmanship is impeccable. He is not a deck builder…he is a carpenter. The joints are tight, the angles are perfect, the pergola and privacy screen are absolutely beautiful. Troy Built was neither the cheapest quote, nor the most expensive. He worked with us on price and in the end it was dead in the middle. But based on the design and the quality of the end product, I feel we got by far the best value for our money.

I obtained three estimates for a deck re-do (about 400 sq ft) and Troy-Built was the middle bid. He gave me prices for treated pine, cedar, and composite. I went with the cedar for about $5200. Troy was very pleasant, professional and easy to work with. They started and finished the job on time. The quality is excellent. We're very happy with the results and would highly recommend Troy-Built Wood Decks.

Troy was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained our options and gave us plenty of time to decide what we wanted to do. He followed up with a drawing and a reasonable quote. The job was completed, as scheduled. The crew was professional and good-naturedly put up with our dog's non-stop barking while they worked! They presented us with options for stain, and when I selected a different one, they stained a piece of wood ahead of time so that I could see it. I ended up changing my mind and going with one of the original ones that they suggested, and they had no problem making the change. Communication was top-notch throughout the process, with really great response times to any questions that we had. The quality of the completed project is really excellent. I would highly recommend them and would use them again in a heartbeat.

From our first meeting with Troy we were very impressed with his professionalism and level of customer service. Troy is the perfect example of how you hope someone with their own business runs things. He is an excellent communicator and we truly appreciate his working with us on prices and options. His level of organization and quality was apparent from day one until our deck was complete. Jeff and his team came out and did the actual deck building and we couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the workmanship and even how organized and tidy the entire work area was. The deck itself is beautiful. We have already had friends ask about it and they assumed we paid twice as much as we did. We were really hoping to be able to go the composite route so we could avoid another outside staining project, but we weren't entirely sure if that would be feasible financially, but Troy made that happen for us. I'm always a little leery to refer friends to some of the contractors we have used, but we will eagerly pass along Troy-built. We are just ecstatic with our new outdoor living space and our entire experience.

From beginning to end things went very well. Troy came out and studied the existing conditions and came up with a plan to replace the deck. His cost was below that of the two other estimates I obtained. His plan was a practical approach and well thought out. They began the work within a week of the original estimated start date. Each day they were punctual and their work was professional and workman like. They cleaned up at the end of each day. The result was a beautiful new deck which has received compliments from everyone who sees it. I am very pleased with the result.

We were particularly pleased by the contractor's attention to the smallest details. Our renovated deck is very inviting and we are pleased with our updated outdoor living space. The quality of their work is outstanding and i have already recommended this company to a friend.

The process went very well from start to finish. He is very busy with other projects, but his estimate of when he would begin was right on. Even with some rain during the project they completed on time and on budget. It looks really great. He addressed any concerns I had and provided guidance on how to maintain the deck. Very professional. Would use him again if needed.

Our contact was Tom Rhoton. Tom helped us evaluate and compare replacement with composite and treated lumber. We selected the treated lumber option so it would match an adjacent screened porch. Despite two days in the 90's and intermittent rain, the deck removal and replacement was completed in four days as Tom said it would be. I would recommend Troy Built to anyone needing the services Troy Built Decks performs.

Wonderful. John Frame, the project manager, and his crew were great and very easy to work with. They did everything I requested which included last minute changes to the plan. I ask them to increase the size of the back side of the deck around the pool which they did without any increase in price. The work was completed within the time frame indicated even with a weather delay. The most important thing is the work was done properly and looks great. Everyone has commented about how nice it is.

Troy Built Wood Decks was a very professional and easy company to work with. John Frame provided a very detailed quote and construction contract outlining the extent of the project. Communication was very timely and responsive. Estimated start date and completion dates were met. Work site was kept very clean and all members of the Troy Built team were very friendly and courteous.

We worked with Mike Williams in the beginning to design what we wanted. He was great at giving us ideas on the design and items we might think about including. He was very good at giving suggestions but not over bearing with his ideas. I can't remember when original start date was supposed to be but they were very accommodating when we had to keep pushing the date back. We had structural issues to deal with as well as some issues with a flood plain that kept delaying the project. They were very understanding and just told us keep them informed. They were nice enough to come and remove our existing deck so another company could begin work on our foundation. They began work the week after July 4th and finished installing our Easy Breeze windows on August 10th. The project took a little longer than they had hoped but that was due to all the rainy weather we have had recently. Mike, Andy, and Troy could not have done a better job on this project. Our porch and deck look amazing!!! They were professional from start to finish and the craftsmanship and attention to detail was unbelievable. Every time we had a question they were more than happy to stop and answer it. They were very accommodating with adjustments we made along the way. I think we looked at putting the deck steps in 3 different spots before we landed on the current spot. We also added and subtracted a door from the porch a time or two. They were very patient!!! They were also very good at keeping in contact with us once the project was started. If our paths did not cross during a particular day they would let us know via a text message what the next step was going to be. It was interesting to watch the entire process from start to finish. They were very meticulous in how they approached each task and therefore we feel we have a real quality structure. We would not hesitate to hire them again if we had another project or to call them back if any issue should arise. We could not be happier!!! Let these people build your deck or porch.....they have it down to a science!!!

It went very well. We have had a very rainy season but they kept me on top of the schedule and were not to behind on the planned date, esp considering the horrible weather. They showed up first thing in the morning, were respectfully quiet (mentioned a neighbor). And worked a full day, then cleaned up every night before they left. I had some unplanted herbs on my patio and they even planted them in a pot for me. They helped me with a paint discount and continued to be on time with there work. A shot out to John Frame, project manager, and his two employees, John and David. Job got done on time and everything looked great! Very fresh and clean. I even signed off on the deal and a week later found a small flaw, called John, and he came back and took care of it without a problem. I would most definitely recommend them!

The rainy weather delayed the start of the project so we were out of town on vacation. Troy Rhoton emailed daily updates with photos to show the progress. The deck is beautiful & the new style railings he suggested are great. My brother who built a deck at his own house said our new deck was the best deck we have had on our house. Troy Rhoton did a great job on our deck, completed the project in the estimated time & was excellent in keeping us updated on the progress. We will definitely use his company for future projects.

After contacting several other contractors we decided on Troy- Built wood Decks because they seemed to understand what wanted to accomplish. We were adding on to an existing structure and after Troy came out and said our ideas were possible, we began the project. John, Dave, and Dan were very courteous and professional. and they finished on schedule while working in terrible weather conditions. Each day the worksite was left clean and organized.It was exciting watching the progress each day.After completing the project ,we reviewed everything in detail and we could not have been happier.We are now able to enjoy our deck area rain or shine without having to take all of our cushions inside every time.We could not be happier with the quality and have enjoyed our new party area many times already this spring and summer. Troy and workers estimated about 25 days ( working) to complete job, work done on time , harsh winter conditions in Nov. did minimal delay. Completed.Work looks like an artistic masterpiece. Payment schedule was reasonable 1/3 after foundation and framing, 1/3 after 3 season room completed, 1/3 after completion.

After talking with several highly rated Angie's List Deck Builders we chose Troy Built. When Troy and Tom (son) first visited us they proved to be very courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Because of their schedule they informed us that it would be about 2 months before they could start. They stayed in touch with me, keeping me posted on their progress and price adjustment on certain changes we made. They started on the very day they said they would and completed within the time span they had estimated. They also suggested some changes that gives us more useable space.

We are really enjoying our deck. Troy - Built provided a detailed estimate of the cost using three different materials. Included with the estimate was also a drawing of the proposed deck. All aspects of the project were done in reasonable time. The workmanship was superb. The men who worked on the deck were polite and easy to work with throughout the project time. I would highly recommend Troy - Built if you thinking about a deck.

We selected a project that replaced the existing deck structure with Azek composite decking including railings and bench.
