Troy and his team by far came in the lowest when bidding the project out to four companies, and the scale of their proposal provided more substantial structural fixes. They finished the project on time, and when a unique issue came to the surface, Troy proactively communicated with me, attempted a solution, and then came back an extra day to fix the issue based on my feedback. He went the extra mile to make sure we were thrilled with the final product.

Troy and his son Tom were very responsive and completed the work quickly over a weekend. We are very appreciative that they were able to schedule us within the time frame needed for the house sale. The workmanship was excellent. In the future we will only use this family business for any deck work.

I had a very old, pressure-treated hardwood deck that I didn't maintain when I bought my home. I never liked the deck to begin with, so I neglected it. Troy came out and discussed all my options with me, followed up with multiple pricing so I could determine my best course of action (all pressure-treated hardwood, a bit of a hybrid w/ Azek flooring & wood railing, or all Azek flooring and railing), and was prompt on his deadlines. Troy is incredibly easy to talk to and work with. I loved the fact that he's a part of every job he takes. I ended up going with an all Azek deck in order to keep my maintenance very low and the deck is BEAUTIFUL!! It's probably the best money I've spent on my house to date. Thank you, Troy!

David Miller responded promptly to my request for an estimate and talked me through various options. He produced a design and a cost based on using cedar. This included having them stain the deck. The price seemed very reasonable. We agreed a start date and David Miller arrived with his brother-in-law Scott to start demolition of the old deck. They were professional, friendly and courteous throughout. When the old deck was finally removed (it did not give up without a fight!) it was obvious that the old frame also needed replacing. David calculated what I thought was a very reasonable additional cost, given the extra work and material this entailed. It was a pleasure to watch David and Scott at work. They take obvious pride in their work and craftsmanship, and appeared to really enjoy creating the new deck. What impressed me in particular is that, after having agreed a complete price for the project, others might have worked around the clock to finish as quickly as possible. David and Scott worked hard, but they absolutely did not rush the job. I left on vacation before the deck was finished, and returned home to find the new deck finished, and the backyard looking very clean and tidy. They came back to add a couple of finishing touches and were obviously pleased themselves with how it had turned out. Our new deck is beautiful, and a great addition to our home. I recommend David and Scott and their company most strongly.

I really can't say enough about what a great job David Miller and Scott Cooper did! They were on time every day (in 90 degree + heat and worked a full day!) They made sure each piece wasn't warped, took meticulous efforts to be sure it was installed correctly, were very courteous, cleaned up work area every night, and reviewed what would be taking place every day. Their work ethic is second to none!! I would absolutely recommend David and Scott to anyone needing any home improvement services. Well done, David and Scott!!!!

We had a great experience with David and Scott of Troy Built decks! David came out right away and gave us an estimate for our project. We had lots of questions and a specific budget we wanted to meet. He answered all of our questions and the next day emailed us a proposal of a beautiful back deck within our price range. He was very responsive via email and answered a few more of our questions. We were able to get on their building schedule within two weeks of getting the estimate. It took them four days to build an amazing 14 ft x 24 ft wood deck. We were impressed with the professionalism and skill of David and Scott; they kept everything very clean and kept us updated on their progress. We are thrilled with our new deck and after having it completed for only one week, we have already used it quite a bit! We can’t wait to enjoy it for the rest of the summer. We would highly recommend Troy Built decks to anyone!

David and Scott from Troy Built Wood Decks did a phenomenal job over the past week tearing down our old 12x10 deck and replacing it with a 12x12-18x10 two tier deck. The new deck included a 12x12 pergola with outdoor ceiling fan and railings with black aluminum spindles and black post caps. All deck material was in cedar. Their work was methodical and meticulous as it wasn't about speed but doing it right. The pergola was pre-stained off-site and final staining of the deck was included in the quote. Timing between quote and start of construction was ~2 weeks. All in all, my wife and I are extremely pleased and satisfied with the overall process of quoting, communication, work-place cleanliness, and simply outstanding workmanship.

Troy and his crew were exceptional in every way. He designed a beautiful deck - giving us several options in materials - and carried the plan through to completion in the promised time frame. We have a 63-foot deck and used Azek (no maintenance) decking and rails with post cap accent lighting - it's gorgeous! Troy and crew were friendly, caring, punctual, neat, and hard-working, no matter what the weather was. The guys were so well-organized, communicated with us well, and exceeded our high expectations every step of the way. This was a major project for us and we couldn't be more pleased. Our deck is beautiful, our neighbors love it as much as we do, and we couldn't be happier we chose Troy-Built.

The project was seamless and quick. The team was responsive to my initial request, came out quickly for the on site estimate, and did the job the week after the visit, as weather permitted. They were efficient, clean, courteous, and explained every step, plus making suggestions for improvements. They even had to deal with 3 dogs needing to visit the backyard from the house, and a gate that had to be opened and shut all day long. The project couldn't have gone smoother and I'm very pleased with the finished product. Thank you David, Scott, and Lee! Would definitely use them again!

They built us a beautiful deck! The project took approximately 4 days. They were prompt and professional. They exceeded our expectations.

It went very smoothly and the end result was what we wanted. David and Lee were very easy to work with.

Their website advertises that decks and porches are their specialty. They called me a week after I had contacted them to tell me they don't do screened in porches. I rated them a C because at least they did call me.

David and Spenser were wonderful and did a great job. They even got finished sooner than expected. I'm getting so many compliments on the new deck. Would certainly recommend David and Spenser.

Troy and his crew were outstanding! They are hard workers, very pleasant, and efficient at what they do. I was extremely impressed with their workmanship and customer focus. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them highly. I had 4 other bids and Troy's was in the middle but I felt he truly understood what we wanted and answered all our questions honestly. We made the right choice.

As soon as the weather permitted, work was done quickly and expertly. Deck and screened patio look better than new. Helped us in our sale of the house for move to new job. Highly recommend.

Based on other reviews for this company and their excellent rating, I contacted them in February and received a very fair & reasonable quote for the work in March (in fact their estimate was several thousand dollars less than the other 2 quotes I received!). The work was just completed today by Tom and he did an excellent job - we couldn't be happier with our new cedar deck! Tom was very accommodating when we changed the original design to add planter boxes to the built in bench and they turned out beautifully. Excellent attention to detail all around. Highly recommend this company!

He was phenomenal from start to finish. he actually exceeded all expectations. The drawing and recommendations he had made created a beautiful deck. He was able to start the project earlier than anticipated, was punctual, had a great team and got it done in 4 days. Cleaned up everything at the end of each day. His skill and professionalism were beyond any workmanship I've had done in the past.

We got a composite deck with cedar railings & aluminum spindles. It looks amazing and we were very happy with the results and Troy & his family/crew. They were very nice and such hard workers. I would highly recommend them.
