We had our entire master closet totally redesigned which included a use/need analysis, selection of colors and styles of materials, tear out of existing closet, timely installation, and follow-up. Throughout, Jon was quick to respond to questions, kept us updated on timing, and worked closely with his installer. We were impressed with the quality, the smooth and neatness of the installation, and the way we were kept informed of the process. We are very happy with the finished closet and recommend Tailored Living to anyone who is thinking of a new closet system!

We contacted Jon at the end of the summer about an estimate for installing a closet organization system in four closets in the upstairs of our house. Jon came to our house to measure and provided us with some samples of materials. He went through each room with us and asked what each closet was going to be used for (storage of items, clothing, etc.). He then spent time on his own measuring each closet. Later that week, he emailed his designs to us. We were up front with him that we did not have an exact date in mind for the install, and he assured us that the price was good until we decided to do the install. In the fall, we decided we could not wait any longer for new closets. We contacted two similar companies and received estimates from them. We contacted Jon again and asked to see his materials again. He was extremely accomodating and agreed to meet us after hours at his location to see a "mock" closet. We decided on Closet Tailors because we liked that the materials installed would go to the floor of each closet instead of being hung on a support system from the wall. We also liked the look of his materials best, especially the hardware. Jon's thoughfulness in terms of how and why each closet was set up and how items would be reached for (left-handed vs. right-handed) sealed the deal for us. He ordered the materials the next day and was able to do a Saturday install just before Christmas. He and Gary (installer) showed up on time at 9:30 am on Saturday. They brought tarps to cover the floor, hauled in everything, worked at installing the system, and cleaned up every speck of dust and dirt left behind. They worked nonstop and completed the job around 2:00 pm. It was a fantastic experience, and we would highly recommend Jon and his company. We were also delighted to receive a thank you note a couple of weeks later. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Everything went well. They were timely with the estimate and the installation. The installer was knowledgable, helpful and polite.

Jon Elliott, owner, came out to our house, asked what our needs were, and let us look at a catalog while he performed detailed measurements of our closets. The catalog had items in it that we were unaware of, and we ordered at least one of the items. We wouldn't have known about it if he hadn't given us the sales catalog to look at. He sent us detailed drawings and quotes. We also wanted floor-to-ceiling bookshelves in a bedroom. We looked at various colors of shelves right there next to the wall, and chose the best colors. The bookshelves looks wonderful--so clean and spacious. When it was time for the work to be done, his worker was very professional and took pride in his work. We liked the three closets and bookshelves they did so well, we had them come back and do a fourth closet. Closet Tailor shelving works like this: A few shelves are attached in place by the worker and only he can move them. Most of the shelves can be moved by us, the customer, after he leaves. He had us test the attached shelves, adjusted the ones we wanted adjusted. and showed us how to move the others (it's very simple).

This was the second job for which we have hired Jon since we were absolutely elated with the job he did on 2 other closets, a pantry, and a laundry area for us last year. He arrived on time and prepared to give us a drawing of what we needed to fulfill our storage needs in a large storage & clothes closet. He was able to design the shelving and hanging areas around the file cabinet we had to have 'as is' in the closet, as well as several other items that had to remain as already placed. These special considerations and needs were never a problem for Jon and his design skills. Darren, the installer of the closets' units, was wonderful. He prepared all the areas by covering the white carpeting with clean tarps, placed tools and materials on them paying close attention to be as neat as possible while still working at a steady and skilled clip. In one day he had installed almost all the storage unit shelves and hanging bars to our satisfaction. There was one part of the unit which we found would not 'work' with the file cabinet & paper shredder..... a lack of room to open and close things... so Jon immediately came over to our home on the installation day when this 'problem' was discovered, re-configured, ordered one different part, and a few days later, Darren arrived to finish the installation. This company and its products are super. We now have the most neatly organized, sturdy, and attractive closets ever. We highly recommend Jon and his crew to convert your closets, etc. to a storage dream.

We recently purchased an 80+ year old house with very small closets except for a very large master bedroom closet. The master bedroom closet was added by the previous owner, but needed more shelves and hanging bars. John Elliott, the owner, came out and measured, and gave us a recommendation and estimate about a week later. We made some changes and signed a contract to have the work done. It takes several weeks for the shelves to be custom ordered. In our case, installation took 2 days. John did an amazing job of adapting to the uneven walls and ceilings of our home. The work looks great and is very functional. One thing I liked was dealing with the owner of a local franchise versus an employee of a large national company--I felt it would give my more leverage if things didn't go as planned. Fortunately, things did go very well. I would definitely hire this company again.

The entire process went very well. I called Jon scheduled an appointment to go over our options. He got the computer generated model of what the closet would look like back the next day along with the quote. It then took a couple weeks to get the materials in. As soon as the materials were in Jon sent over his installation guy and he put the closet in.

The whole process was wonderful. Jon Elliot was very responsive both in the initial estimate and design phase as well in the install phase, and he did a great job listening to what we wanted for the closet area. In fact, I had priced out what it would cost for us to install a similar closet system purchasing the components online, and Jon was able to do the work for almost $1000 less (plus they did the demo and install). For anyone looking to have built-in closets installed I would strongly recommend this company.

Jon is very professional and pleasant to work with. We met with him and he completed an estimate and 3-D computer visualization of his plan on the spot. This was very helpful because we could see what the closet would look like from different angles, We obtained estimates from two other companies and their professionalism was not even close to Jon's; Jon completed the work in one day and thoroughly cleaned up after himself. We would definitely use him again and highly recommend him.

I contacted him by e-mail requesting an estimate and he responded very quickly to meet with us, measure the closets and create designs for each of the three closets based on how we use them. He created a couple different designs for us to choose from based on questions we had. He uses a program that shows what the finished closet will look like from different angles giving a very good idea of what to expect. We were in the process of having new flooring installed and Jon worked with our schedule to tear out the old closets and come back to install the new organizers after the floors were installed. The materials used are of good quality and everything was an exact fit. His designs fit our needs perfectly and we love our new organized closets!

They were very responsive. Their design was very helpful. They are willing to make modifications, if needed, once we used it.

Jon came to our condo on time on the agreed-upon day, prepared with demonstrations on his computer, sample materials in his car, and pictures of finished projects for us to see. He looked through all the storage areas we wanted 'done', looked at our pictures of all the clothing items and shoes to be stored in them, and, using his computer, designed storage units to fit our needs and space. We 'tweeked' the designs a bit to accommodate various needs &/or wishes (ie. more shoes for one person than another: ergo, more shoe storage space and less shelf space for clothes in that part of the closet). We loved the designs he created and the materials he was going to use to do the job. We signed the contract and Jon ordered the closet units/parts. Jon kept in mind our needs to get this project completed prior to our move-in date, and so when part of the materials came in, he quickly made an appointment to install those things (the laundry area's units arriving first) while we waited for the rest of the materials to arrive. Again, as soon as they came in, Jon called to set up a convenient time for installation. Jon did all the installation himself and did a superb job. ( He had informed us that he'd give us a discount if we removed all the old closet materials prior to his installation job. We did this and realized a nice little reduction in price. ) Once all the storage units were installed in the 2 closets, laundry area, and pantry, Jon went over with us how to move the shelves and clothes-hanging bars if we wished to reconfigure some parts. He assured us that if we had any questions or needed repeat demonstrations on how to move things around we were to call him and he'd come back over. Jon ran about 10 minutes late arriving on one of the 3 installation days and he called us to let us know this and what time he'd be arriving. We are VERY pleased with our newly designed closet storage space. It is all we wanted and more.

This was an outstanding experience. There were no problems, and John was able to do a few additional things even at our last minute request. The installation took place several weeks after the design was created and accepted because we did not have access to our new home until then. John worked with us to schedule the installation when it was most convenient for us.

Jon is a local franchise owner who emphasizes customer satisfaction. The effort he put into creating a design I liked, plus the terrific craftsmanship of the finished product (Jon does both the Sales and Installation facets of the project), are why I would recommend him. Pricing was a little more than I had imagined, but my only other example of closet work was a project years ago by another company involving only shelves and hanging racks. The design Jon installed for me had ten drawers, and those, I discovered, are a relatively expensive component. Also, I've seen some quotes that other people have received from another closet company, and I'm convinced Jon does similar work for a lot less. Also, on the topic of pricing, I've heard that you can get interlocking closet organization components at a home improvement store and save some money that way. That could be the way to go for some industrious do-it-yourselfers with enough available time. In my case, I found it easily worth the extra expense to have Jon provide his "value-added" design expertise, terrific craftsmanship, and of course, administrative work in tying all the tedious details together to actually make it happen.

Excellent service, quality, price and follow up. We were thrilled to use the final product, it was worth every penny. Jon is a true professional who takes the extra time to get things right and deliver on time. He was very patient with our construction delays and was ready when we needed him. We would use him again with out a doubt.

He was excellent, and the quality of work was superb. He showed up on time and completed the work promptly. They are extremely easy to work with. He has computerized programs so you can envision the final project. Their prices are reasonable and we were happy with their service.

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had in home renovations. We contacted Jon and he set up a time to meet with my wife and I. We showed Jon the spaces we were interested in having work done. Jon asked great questions and listened very well to what we said we needed. Jon then emailed us a couple of options; e used an electronic (CAD) drawing system so you could really get a feel for what the system would look like and how it would fit in the space. From there, Jon came back out to answer any questions and was not pushy at all about giving us necessary time to make a decision. When the time was right we contacted Jon again and from that point he ordered the materials and had them installed within two weeks. Jon was always perfect in responding to us in a timely manner and effectively communicating the process. He was always there when he said he would be and did not over promise a single thing. What he said is what we got.

The did a very thorough job. They were responsive and arrived on time. I would use them in the future and would recommend them to others.
