All of the guys at Technology Interiors have been great.  Even though our project was relatively small, all of the techs were professional, friendly and conscientious.  When the speakers that we originally ordered were not going to look right, they immediately went out and got a more appropriate set.  Additionally, they provided some expert advice and we ended up upgrading our receiver, which was quickly ordered, installed and properly set up in a very timely manner.  A very hassle-free experience.

I'll start by explaining that my initial contact was at TI's showroom - this was very helpful as I was able to see firsthand the major pieces of the equipment: the screen (with front speakers), the projector and the theater chairs. I got a quick explanation of the equipment choices.
Rick (president of TI) then came to our house and we came to agreement on a rough design: layout of the theater in our basement, confirmed the number theater chairs (8) and then, an unexpected feature we really like - based on Rick's suggestion - a countertop behind the last row of seats where we can place bar stools. This expands our capacity to 12 to 14 attendees if we want.
Next, we met with Rick to go over an estimate, reached agreement and scheduled the job. I think from initial contact to agreement took just two days.
The job went very well - most of the work was completed over a three-day period, as was planned/scheduled - completed two days prior to our family's holiday celebration. TI came back and did a few finishing details. All work was done to our satisfaction. Everything was installed very neatly - it looks like the room was originally built as a theater.
I'm confident that TI would take care of any problem if one were to arise; I found Rick to be easily accessible by phone and email.
The main benefit in working with Technology Interiors (TI) is their experience - they have installed hundreds of theaters and you get the benefit of their knowledge and experience. This was very helpful to me - I did not know where to start in terms of equipment selection and design. I would also add that the equipment, while sophisticated, is easy to operate based on the way TI set up the master remote control.
Another benefit is the work team - all team members are good to work with and I was very comfortable having them work independently while I worked on my own business upstairs. The team did a great job leaving the work area clean at the end of the project. They were excellent at answering my questions - at the end, I now know much more about home theaters than I did two months ago - I feel much less intimidated by the technical details - the components individually and collectively are very interesting once you gain a basic understanding.
Now that the work is complete and we've enjoyed a few movies and sports on the big screen, I'm already getting thoughts of further enhancements that I would like to make to the theater - Rick is the first person I'll call when we're ready.

They were very impressive in their showroom and were responsive through the install.  Once the house was completed and

occupied, and the entire system was in use, the service level dropped to almost zero.  It was impossible to get return phone calls on our numerous issues (ie Theater system didn't work from day one) without aggressive follow-up on our part.  Appointments were made on regular basis and service tech either didn't show (with no fore warning) or they were 4-6 hours

later than stated time range.

We have battled the fixes on this system for over a year.  The last issue was the Sirus radio card for the central speaker system.  After repeated calls, a tech finally came to diagnosis the issue.  He removed the card and said he would replace the faulty card ASAP.  Three months later we still have no replacement card, and no one will return this calls.  We have since secured the services of a more respectable and professional company (showed up 2 days after initial call, and 10 minutes early).

Technology Interiors is not qualified to download an appt on an Ipad.  Save your money and seek competitive quotes.



Funny thing about Rick's comment, is that in many cases they were late or rescheduled.  Our patience was tested for twelve months, that's plenty of time to figure out a companies response ethics.  As far as warranty, where's our replacement Sirus card that was under warranty ?  Never mind, our new company fixed that pronto.



Funny, our current technology company was recommended by another of Rick's former client's, who was also very dissatisfied. Their recommended company has done an amazing job, and fixed all of Technology Interiors errors in 2 visits (and they're 5 minutes early every appointment). We've since recommended our new technology company to our friends and family...that's the sign of good business.

"We are happy to provide service for all electronics that are installed, but clients must make themselves available during the time allotted. Like any other telecom company, it is difficult to accurately predict exactly what time our technicians will be on site. This is why we implement block scheduling. If the client is not home during the block of time, then we are willing to reschedule for the next available time slot. All products we install are backed by a manufacturer's warranty, and sometimes we are at the mercy of their repair process which can sometimes can several days or weeks for the product to be returned in proper working order. Remember, electronics are sensitive pieces of equipment and should be treated delicately. If products are constantly damaged by their owners because of heavy use, the product will not last very long. We always provide training after each job is complete, so we can teach them proper use of the equipment. We have reached out to this customer to resolve the issue and they are not responding in a pleasant manner. It is always best to call the office when a service call is desired, we will do our best to get a technician to you as soon as possible. Our client base is very large, and it may take 24-36 hours before an open time slot is available. We visited the showroom initially and someone came to our home within just a few days. Our quote, with a variety of price points, was returned to us within the same day. The owner contacted us to answer any questions before we made our decision which was a nice surprise.  It was easy to schedule the work to be done on a day convenient to our schedule. The team of two arrived and got to work. After all was installed, the team took a lot of time to make sure we understood how everything operated. They cleaned up any mess. We recently bought a new home in Fishers. The basement was finished by the previous owners with an open floor plan. Rick came by to give me an estimate on my dream theater system, but he ended up also designing the floor plan for my basement (for free) in addition to the quote for the theater system. Initially, the quote he gave was a little bit more than I wanted to spend, so he worked to come in at my budget. He sent DJ and Gabe out to the house to install the system (hang and wire three TV's, run CAT 5 to my office, install speakers, projector, and screen). They were on time, professional, friendly, and willing to work to my every demand. They also stayed later to make sure the system (RF remote) worked exactly the way I wanted it. I had friends over last night to look at the system and they were envious! If you want a great system at a reasonable price and excellent customer experience, go with Rick Goren and his team at Technology Interiors!

I called in the morning to set up an appointment at my father's home for a new TV set.  I spoke to the owner and was able to schedule the same day.  The Tech arrived  and had everything set up together (TV, DVD, Speaker) in short order and was able to program everything on a single remote.  He spent some time reviewing the operation which pleased my father.  The owner made a follow up call to tell me that everything was taken care of and he was happy.

Overall very happy with service. They were quick and responsive and did good work. When they couldn't make the original appointment, Rick was very helpful, got them there the next business day and gave a significant discount to make up for it. Be advised the labor rate is per man hour, not just hour, but they were professional and did a good job. I have Comcast with a DLA box for this TV. They tried to hide the box and wires behind the tv but the remote signal won't work from the couch like that so I had to lower the box and it's hanging below the tv. Not quite what I wanted but it works and is better than I could have done myself with all wires running down to the outlets.

Josh arrived on time.  He set up the new projector, removed the old ceiling mount & installed a new one.  He had to run out to get a DVI to HDMI connector so my old cabling would work.  From the time I called until the time he left me with a new projector was three hours.

Had Rick come out and give me a quote to put a home theater in my basement, which had already been wired for surround by the previous owner.  I'd had an independent provider come out and quote me, but I wasn't happy with his responsiveness.  I sent Rick an email telling him what I wanted to do and what my budget was and he came out the next day, had a quote to me within a few hours, and his team came out later in the week to do the install.  His guys were professional and did a great job on the install, without having to do any cutting, plastering, or repainting of walls.
Epson 8350 projector (overhead mount), Dalite 110" screen, Denon AVR, rear and center speakers, and universal remote - integrated with my front speakers, subwoofer, Wii, PS3 for Bluray, and Apple TV.  All for about $3000 installed.
Not that I had any intentions of doing the install myself, but I did compare component pricing to some online sites and found that Rick's pricing was better.  
Great experience, and I'd definitely hire Rick and his team again.  Hurry up football season!  Can't wait to watch the Colts on my new system!

The whole process was amazing.  Rick Goren, the owner of the company, met me at my house to take a look at the space, listened to what I wanted to achieve and gave his professional recommendation.  It was very nice to speak with a salesperson who actually listened.  After the initial meeting Rick provided me with an all inclusive estimate that had everything that we had spoke about.  The price of the entire theater was right in line with the budget I had set aside for this project.  Once I told Rick that I would like to use Technology Interiors for my theater, he immediately booked me in the next available opening he had.  I do not know who was more excited, myself or my three kids.  Not every kid gets to say they have their very own movie theater in their house.  The installers for Technology Interiors came out yesterday and installed the entire system while I was at work and my wife was home with the kids.  I insisted on my wife sending me update pictures of the process.  All of the installers took their shoes off and cleaned up after themselves.  Since my home was already built and dry walled, I was expecting to have to repair some holes in the drywall from the running of the wires.  I was amazed that there were not any drywall or paint touch ups needed after they were complete.  My receiver, cable box and blu ray player were all installed in a nearby storage closet making it the theater look very clean and organized.  The installers showed up in the morning the exact time that Rick had told me they would be there and were wrapping up everything when I got home from work.  Once I got home GJ, one of the installers, walked me through all the functions on the all-in-one remote that controls everything in my theater.  All in all it was an amazing and easy experience working with Technology Interiors and could not be happier with my home theater.  I would recommend them to anyone if you are looking for a great home theater along with great customer service.

We had a whole house stereo system that was installed by the previous owners.  Unfortuneately, itwas wired incorrectly.  Rick Goren and his crew came in and straightened the mess we had and got our awesome new system up and running.  They were all very polite, professional, and punctual.  They are reasonable in their pricing and make sure it is done correctly.  Highly recommend!!!

Rick managed everything from start to finish.  We did a complete home stereo system in different rooms of the house.  They also wired the entire house for future additions, like home theater, etc.  They also installed two flat screen TV's in both the great room and the master bedroom.  They were able to hide all the components out of view and give us a master remote for multi-media.
I will use Rick in the near future again.

Technology Interiors was recommended to me by the contractor I was using to complete my basement remodel project.  I contacted Technology Interiors for an estimate for a home theater system.  Rick Goren got back to me very quickly to set up an appointment for the estimate.  Rick came out to review the space I wanted to use for the home theater and we discussed the various equipment options.  I was looking for a pretty basic setup and Rick worked with me to stay within my budget. 
The installation went smoothly at both phases (pre-wiring and finish).  The installers were punctual and professional.  They even made a suggestion during the finish install to simplify the completed set up.
I had incorporated some of my own equipment into the project and during a follow-up visit by one of the installers, after the basement was completed; the installer helped me troubleshoot a problem I was having with one piece of equipment.
The home theater has performed perfectly since.

I was impressed by the fact that I got a hold of Rick right away and he came right out the next day to assess our situation and even offer some helpful suggestions.  He provided a very competetive quote right away and scheduled it immediately.  He sent 2 very professional, highly trained guys to come out.  These guys were sharp and did a phenomenal job.  They were there on time (actually a bit early), professionally dressed, great with my kids, very patient and took time to explain things and answer questions.  They cleaned up as they were working and left no mess at all. To me, they went above and beyond and I am very grateful for that, especially after the experiences I've had.

In a previous report I told of my shopping experience with Technology Interiors and Rick Goren, the owner.
The Techniicians arrived on time and worked most of the day assemblying the components, running wires, connecting the systems.  They also had to cut holes in the wall and the celing to mount the speakers.  Their work was neat and thorough.  The system works far better than anticipated.
They installed speakers on the first floor of our home for a music in multiple rooms.  Again, holes were cut in the celing for the speakers and the techs had to connect the speakers to my older receiver.  They insured that furniture was covered or moved out of the way while cutting into the ceiling.
The wireless security system works well and required little time to install and was not complicated for a non-techno person to use.
Completed satisfied.

Rick came to our house and personally looked at the equipment we had and quoted us a price. Indicated job would be simple and would take one day. Kevin, I believe, was the man who came and did the work. He was awesome. Upon completing the work, it was discovered the HDMI cables that were used, would not carry the signal properly. TV would not display in full HD, other devices would not display appropriate image. All had worked fine before. Kevin stayed late and got things working, so that we could use the TV. He came back the next day or soon after, and with a better HDMI cable. This allowed the TV to work properly; he asked if he could leave it for the weekend to see if problems showed up, none did. The next week he came and replaced the original cables they provided with the better ones. Kevin was a great guy and went the extra mile to get the job done. The low grades we have given are related to the customer service and our communications with Rick. He was not the most pleasant to deal with, and at one point had suggested they just come get their equipment and part ways (this was during the time Kevin was still working to make things work). We felt pressured to pay, before the job was completed. We made a good faith payment of half, as we did not want to pay in full until the job was finished. They had wanted us to pay more for the different cables, and we at first were comfortable with that until it was disclosed this would add over $100 to the bill (about 20%). After another awkward, less than pleasant phone call with Rick, they did agree to honor the original quote. Right now the TV and other devices run fine, and we would trust Kevin to work in our house again. However, I do not think we would hire Rick again. As a professional, I would expect that the issues we had would have been foreseen by Rick. He viewed our equipment, and as someone who has worked in the field for many years, he should have indicated this may have been an issue with our equipment (according to them our 2 year old flat screen was the culprit, and it may have been; although but it worked before and it works now). The problem was solved by Kevin with better cables than those used originally. I would have had no issue, if Rick would have foreseen this and indicated that the price quoted might need to be adjusted upwards more than $100 dollars if higher quality cables were necessary. We are satisfied with the work that was done and the price we paid for it, but will not likely use TI again as customer service was rather adversarial. UPDATED AFTER THE FACT: Apparently after reading this report, Rick called our home and made profane comments.

"The Plasma TV by LG was manufactured and purchased by the member a year or two before the installation - this was a very difficult installation and was done perfectly until the TV would not display because it was manufactured way before the HDMI standard was defined. Unfortunatelly the member was very upset when I told him that the TV was older technology and we may have to buy a differnt class of cable that have better bandwith and will work with in-compatibale set to make the 1080i signal work. We purchased the powered cables and of course we were still the bad guys because manufacturer use small companies to test out the bugs. The TV install was smotth but our feathers were ruffled tring to decide who pays for the cables. The bottom line was a mis-fired 3 letter word that also resembles a donkey was used and should not have been. I sincerley hope the client realizes we are also the subject of new technology tests and compatibility issues and new products from vendors are not perfectly matched sometimes when they are released. The standards are firm now and HDMI is solid after a couple years. There is a reason Hollywood makes us buy these expensive cables - piracy - HDMI uses a code and encryption so DVD's can not be coppied and use a lock called HDCP - when the two don't talk - you have to pay for the link and thats the frustrating part the client did not recognize. We can only try harder to make sure the TV set is new, the Bluray is new, and both should be fine to communicate with no issues. Hope the Plasma is working good now!"
