Shed Doctor

Called John to come out and give estimate on tearing down old shed and building new one. He came out as agreed and met with my husband. All was good. He e-mailed estimate. The plan was for the tear down on one day and the next day to build new one. The tear down day it stormed so he did not come. The next day he came out with two other people. He ended up tearing down the old one and ran into some unexpected problem with concrete block being under the shed. He removed most of the block and then continued to build the whole new one. It was very hot outside, but they never stopped. I would not have expected they could do it all in one day but they did! Very hard workers and would recommend to anyone else.

I left a message for John late Wednesday (5/21), he returned my call early Thursday, visited and provided an estimate later Thursday morning and completed the work on Saturday (5/24). John was very professional, showed up on time, delivered what he promised and completed the work for the estimated price. The workmanship and materials are excellent. We are completely satisfied.

Mr. D'Amico assessed the work a few weeks ago and gave me an estimate of time and costs. It was a small job, but he said he would get back to me and he did. He and a helper came when he said they would be here and had my repairs done in about an hour.

Went very well. John and his associate were quick to schedule and put the shed up in a matter of hours. Friendly, fast. Can't ask for anything more!

They did an excellent job..really good craftsmanship . I would definitely use them again. Very prompt and did good job cleaning up.

John D'Amico was very prompt in responding to my questions about a replacement shed, and in providing a written quotation for the work. As promised, John and a helper came the following week to do the work. Much of the preparation/preassembly work was done ahead of time in his shop. The on site building of the shed was done quickly and efficiently in less than a day. The finished shed is of good quality and better built than the old shed.,, especially the heavy duty doors, hinges, handles and locks.

What a lifesaver! I was trying to get quotes from several people and John kept in contact, came really quickly during a very busy time (the big blizzard of 2014) and managed to get my driveway plowed in less than 10 minutes. Super nice, pricing was inline with what I was hearing from other sources, and did an excellent job!

Very well, but we are waiting had other household projects to complete before purchasing a shed.

John was very responsive. He came out within a day of contacting him and gave an estimate. Very friendly and professional. We found a date the following week for the build. He arrived on time and the shed was built within a few hours. I would have given all As for this review except as I went to paint the shed I was a little disappointed in the way it was put together. I think the materials seemed to be of good quality. John did not actually do the build (although he was there). When I was painting I noticed several nails that had not gone into the wood all the way. Furthermore, the shed door has a latch at the top and bottom. However, the latch at the bottom doesn't work because it is not lined up appropriately. I did have high expectations, as I wanted someone who would pay attention to those details. Overall great to work with and friendly , but was not totally impressed with final product. Not sure if I will use the company again.

The process went well. We contacted John and he came out to our house to look at the space which was a tight fit between the garage and a fence. He even made a second trip because he wanted to explore an offset door solution. We ended up hiring him for an approximately 8x10 shed with centered double doors and a ramp. I gave him average marks for professionalism because he doesn't have professional marketing materials. But that's not why you're hiring him. He builds good sheds.

John was incredibly responsive. He gave us options for both a shed rehab and a replacement. We went with the replacement. He tore down the old shed and hauled away the debris. He rebuilt the new shed and addressed issues such as wet area of the yard. He was incredibly punctual, detail-oriented, polite (even with my three kids racing around us), and thorough.

Made some recommendations and did a great job. He went the extra mile to address our issues and get them fixed. He is very knowledgeable, and I am impressed with his work.

John was great to work with. He was very good about his communication and always called back if I had to leave a message. He came to my house and gave me a quote, but also said he would work with me if the pricing was what I was looking for. I changed the design/size several times including adding a ramp during the build. John never flinched. He smiled and took care of it. He didn't increase the price over anything that should be expected (and actually less in my opinion) for all the changes I made. He and another gentleman built the barn in just two days on a slightly sloping hill in my side yard. They had to use blocks to level it, but did a great job. I also had the floor reinforced due to putting a larger than normal tractor with a front loader attached in the barn. The floor is very solid and has not flinched under the 1300+ pounds of the tractor. The barn looks very nice and I have no complaints at all. I would recommend John and Shed Doctor to anyone in my family or friends and would use him again. Thanks John! I'll put pictures up when i get a chance to take some. The barn is 12x24 with 8ft walls. One walk in door and a roll up 8' drive in door.

John and his helper arrived on time, they were very thorough and professional. After John and his helper exposed the floor's support beams they found they were good shape, but recommended replacing the decaying wood around the shed's exterior lower edges to add life to the shed...for a small increase in the original quote, which made perfect since to me, so I agreed. John explained everything they were going to do in detail. I was impressed with their work ethic and the quality of the workmanship. The Shed Doctor made all of the repairs, they even leveled the shed...adding at least 10-15+ years to a shed I feared may need replacing (at least $2,500+). I am a very satisfied and happy customer.

I called John and he came out, discussed what we wanted and looked at where we wanted it built. John put together a quote, emailed it to me and contacted me by phone. We accepted his quote and set a start date. John and his crew showed up on time and proceeded to build the new shed. When the new shed was done they removed the existing shed. They did a great job, were very professional and cleaned the jobsite up. We are very happy with John, his crew and their work.

John was very polite and professional. We explained our requirements and listened to his suggestions to decide on the rest of the design. We wanted our shed to match our existing 9-car detached garage. John was very patient and flexible during the planning stages. He showed up when he said he would and he finished ahead of schedule. He charged exactly what he quoted. The shed was built solid and looks fantastic. 100% quality. From far away, the shed does not stand out from the detached garage. One last note?.. right after the shed was built, something ran under our shed for protection from the coyotes. The coyotes tore off big chunks of siding and chewed/pulled on our downspouts. I called John to explain what happened to get the details on the siding so that we can attempt to fix it ourselves. John suggested that if we could wait - he would come out and fix it himself. When he did fix our shed, he didn't charge us because he appreciated that we waited several months for him. Again, he did an excellent job and we cannot tell what was fixed/replaced. He is well worth every penny.

The provider gave an accurate quote with no hidden costs. He detailed the project so that I understood exactly how the shed was going to be built. He arrived on time and did not leave until the shed was built. There was no mess for me to clean up afterwards. When he builds a shed, it is professional built with a few extras that others charge to have completed. I would recommend the company to anyone wanting any size shed built.

They were great. They were really efficient in getting back at me. They were on time when they came for an estimate. He was very knowledgeable about what he did. I think they know what we are thinking about.

Working with John and his crew is a real pleasure. They are very professional, prompt, friendly and good at what they do. The new doors are very attractive, well-built, and make a 20 year old shed look like new. The new banding boards and corner trim took care of rot at the bottom edge of the structure, and look very nice. We were particularly impressed with their attention to detail and personal commitment to doing a great job. John came back the next day and did some additional caulking to make sure things were finished. We think the price is very reasonable for the scope of work done.

I had been having trouble with the doors on my 10-year old storage barn. The structure had settled a bit over the years and one side of the double doors would not open all the way. There was also a problem with some wood rot along the lower part of the door. I called The Shed Doctor thinking that they would have to jack-up the barn and raise the foundation. Instead, John diagnosed the problem in a different way. He correctly surmised that the original builder had put the wrong doors on the barn. The doors were too long and extended below the floor level of the structure. He returned a few days later with a custom built set of doors and had them installed in less than a day. Overall, I was extremely happy with the results.

Great person to work with. Did a great job rebuilding our barn doors and frame. Entire process took less than a week from estimate to installation.

Relocated and repaired an existing shed -- would definitely use him again. It took a while to even find a contractor that was willing to relocate a shed (most only build new ones). Once he came out to assess the job, he quoted the relocation, as well as doing repair work. Repairs included replacing the roof, building entirely new doors and replacing some rotting boards along the bottom. He did quality worksmanship on all fronts. The design of the new doors is more appealing than the old ones. Our neighbors keep asking us if we had a new shed built. It really does look like a new one on the outside.

John listened to our needs and offered suggestions. He was also upfront about his schedule. He started work on the shed on time and was here everyday, working long hours thru the extreme heat, until the shed was done. We could not have asked for a better shed and are extremely happy with this company and the quality of the person. The shed was more than we wanted to spend but it is well worth it, have no regrets, and would do it over again in heartbeat.

The previous owners had a "workshop" in the backyard. Over the years it got holes in it and the squirrels took over it (the whole place was filed with walnut shells - the ceiling was falling in and the insulation had was all over the place). Because of the extensive damage, we decided on a complete rebuild. John gave us a bid that was more than reasonable. The price included a roll up garage door, an entry door, three full size windows (not small shed windows), a ramp. a storage loft and painting the outside (the body was one color and the trim was another color). He even matched the roof to our house - fantastic. They left everything very neat when they left for the day. Because we were mostly at work John kept in contact with us both by e-mail and by telephone. We are very happy with the project. We plan to use them again on another project later this year. They did a really outstanding job. We could not be happier with the job they did.

I had 3 estimates for a barn and John was the lowest. He showed up on time and competed the job quickly and professional. He also completed a job for my neighbor and came back to check on how well I liked my barn. I would recommend John to anyone I know to build any type of structure they needed
