UPON GETTING THE BILL, IT WAS $377. WHEN WE ASKED WHAT THE CHARGES WERE FOR, HE TOLD US THAT THE PRICE FOR THE CHEMICALS (WHICH HE DIDNT USE BECAUSE HE COULDNT CLEAR THE DRAIN) WERE EATEN UP IN LABOR COSTS WHICH WE HAD BEEN TOLD WE WOULDNT BE CHARGED. WE PAID THE AMOUNT LISTED UNDER PROTEST AND HAD A DIFFERENT COMPANY DO THE EXCAVATION AND DRAIN LINE WORK. BE SURE TO GET ALL PROMISES FROM THIS COMPANY IN WRITING.
Description of Work: ATTEMPT TO CLEAR MAIN DRAIN. ORIGINAL QUOTE $178 PLUS CHEMICALS TO BE ADDED AFTER CLEARING DRAIN. TOTAL $278. AFTER 4 HOURS, WE ARE TOLD THE $178 IS FOR THE FIRST 1-1/2 HOURS AND THAT ITS 50/HR AFTER. WE AGREED IT WAS NOT FAIR FOR HIM TO TELL US THAT AFTER THE FACT. AFTER ANOTHER HOUR, HE ASKED TO BRING ANOTHER TECHNICIAN IN WITH A LONGER SNAKE. THERE WOULD BE A $95 FLAT RATE FEE FOR THIS. WE AGREED. AFTER ANOTHER THREE HOURS, THEY FAILED TO CLEAR THE DRAIN.

THE COMPANYS PERSONNEL ARE HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL, GIVE AN HONEST ASSESSMENT OF PLUMBING PROBLEMS, AND HAVE EMPATHY IN WHAT CAN BE FRUSTRATING SITUATIONS.

I CALLED TO ASK ABOUT GETTING OUR AGING DRAIN CLEARED BEFORE BEING WRECKED BY OUR BIG TREE OUT FRONT OF OUR HOUSE. THE WOMAN I SPOKE WITH ON THE PHONE WAS SO HELPFUL I WAS ACTUALLY SURPRISED. I REFUSED THE SERVICE AND THE SERVICEMAN LEFT. 5 MINUTES LATER HE CAME BACK & SAID HED FOUND THE CLEAN OUT AND THE JOB COULD BE DONE CHEAPER BUT STILL HIGHER THAN THE ESTIMATE.
