Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

It went fine. After the roots were removed the water was flowing freely again.

They took care of it and it was done quickly. They also changed some piping of drain

The technician sent was prompt, professional, pleasant, efficient and got the job done. THE PROBLEM: HE AND HIS SUPERVISOR RECOMMENDED ANOTHER JOB WITH PIPES AND CAPPING WHICH WOULD TAKE A DAYS WORK AND THE COST WOULD BE ACCORDING TO HOURS/SUPPLIES SPENT. I CALLED MY PLUMBER WHO CAME TO CHECK. HE TOLD ME WE HAVE OLD PIPES BUT NOTHING NEEDS TO BE DONE. THE WORK DONE BY ROTO ROOTER WAS GOOD BUT I DO NOT LIKE A SALES JOB.

Roto-rooter is responsive, well-organized, and efficient. In our two experiences with them, they have been honest and have done what they said they would do in a timely, careful manner. We thought the kitchen faucet was broken beyond repair, but the serviceman repaired it quickly and completely. They also handled a complete cleansing of our drains---a gross job but one they did very well.

Okay. He told me it was possible a hole may be punched in the pipe (galvanized pipes) and lo and behold there was a hole. I had to pay a lot more than expected and had to hire someone to fix the drywall.

Arrived on time, was done within an hour, very professional demeanor. Would hire again, even though the price was quite high (over $400), because the problem was fixed promptly and professionally.

I used one of Angie’s List specials. It was a Big Deal coupon. The big deal was for $150, but I ended up spending more. That is the only one I’ve done for plumbing at this point. The coupon was probably $39, but I ended up spending far more than that, probably more in the ball park of $400 or $600.

I did go out and put some kind of remarks about them on another site. I was satisfied with their work. They came out promptly and took care of the work satisfactorily. They were prompt and came out and did the work as promised. Interaction was good. They met my needs. They were prompt, they were courteous, and they did what they said they were going to do. It was satisfactory.

Expensive! Contacted Roto-Rooter after having an appliance repair person out thinking the problem might be with our disposal or dishwasher. After checking both and running something through the pipes to about 6 feet, he recommended a roto-rooter service believing there as a blockage further down the pipe. (We were not charged for his service call despite the work he did). We contacted Roto-Rooter who although running late for the appointment, kept us advised of their destination time. I explained to the technicians what the appliance repair person had said and the Roto-Rooter technician listened and then quoted a price of $388 without looking at anything ($50 of that was for a drain cleaning product they pushed heavily saying that without it, the problem would likely recur). With an inoperable sink and a dishwasher full of dirty dishes, we needed assistance ASAP. Before service, I was required to sign a form releasing them of any damage done in the process of their work--wow!. The men were pleasant and tidy and completed the job in about 15 minutes. Another five was spent with me questioning the drain cleaning solution, signing papers, and writing a check. For 20 minutes of work, the cost of service averaged out to approximately $1000 an hour!

The technician used heavy commercial grade equipment to clear the drain. Diagnosed a "soft" clog about 15 ft. outside the house.

Plumber was nice but had no idea what he was doing. Took several hours to replace a sprayer on the sink and suggested I caulk the sink to stop the leaning. He left, I caulked the sink and the water was dripping into the basement within 4 days. I called back and asked him to come out again. They sent him out not even promising not to charge me. He replaced the sprayer again, said he couldn't find the leak and left. It's been another week and this morning the water is leaking much more heavily into my basement. To top it off the sprayer he installed isn't nearly the quality we had. Last week I had to call an emergency plumber during an installation of a new refrigerator. He came, fixed the copper water line and installed a new shut off valve for $130. Only then did I realize how much I had been ripped off by Roto rooter. $374 for a sprayer that wasn't even the problem verses $130 for an emergency call that fixed two problems. I feel extremely taken advantage of. If I would have known that spending all that money wasn't going to fix a thing of course I would t have spent it. I assumed in good faith that they would do the job and do it properly. Beware. They are crooks.

The guy who came out was very professional. I would call them again, they did a fantastic job. They also cleaned-up after themselves.

Representative, qouted the work very high price, the worker's only needed to do, about half the work (job) he (described, qouted). He still wanted to charge, Full price. Did not want to adjust price accordingly. Took price down very little. Not good on price, compared price, to another Plumbing business. The, worker's did well.

They wanted to tear up my floors and all that stuff in the bathroom, kitchen, and downstairs in the basement. I said no, just clear the line from the inside because it was an inside clog. They fixed it. They wanted to tear it up because he was saying that the stuff out flooded and I need restoration to come. I told him I just filed a claim for that. I don't want to keep using my home owners insurance. I went and brought a water heater and did it myself. My bathroom floor is fine even though that's where it was flooding the most. I just had to worry about my basement downstairs. I rented an industrial de-humidifier and left it running with the fans blowing, and did the restoration myself. They're kind of expensive. They do a 30 day warranty, I have at least 30 days that I can call them if something happens, and they'll come back out and do it for free. They left me something to treat the plumbing every month. They were a little slow getting here. The supervisor got here before the plumbers did. The plumbers were very professional. The supervisor wasn't, he kept calling me through the night and texting me telling me that I need the restoration done. I wasn't try to do that, because I already knew what to do.
