They did an okay job. After we had waited all day for the serviceman to show up, he called and tried to change the time to the next day. My husband insisted he had to come that same day. After some back-and-forth discussion, he finally did come out. I'm not sure of the actual date of service but it was in September.

DAVE EXPLAINED WHAT HE WAS GOING TO DO, AND AFTERWARD SHOWED ME ON HIS CAMERA THE ROOTS THAT WERE PRESENT WHEN HE ARRIVED,, AND THEN ALSO SHOWED THE LINE AFTER THE ROOTS WERE REMOVED. DAVE ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS, AND EXPLAINED EACH STAGE OF HIS WORK. MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN EXCELLENT, AND I WILL CONTINUE TO USE THEM IN THE FUTURE.

DUSTY RAN THE WASHER TO OBSERVE WHAT WAS HAPPENING. THEN HE CABLED THE LINE UNTIL ALL OBSTRUCTION WAS ELIMINATED. HE FOLLOWED UP BY FILLING THE WASHER AGAIN WITH WATER, AND MAKING SURE ALL OBSTRUCTION HAD BEEN REMOVED. DUSTY WAS FRIENDLY, INFORMATIVE, AND PROFESSIONAL. I WILL DEFINITELY USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. After I made my initial call for service, I was contacted almost immediately to set up an appointment. A technician was sent out a few hours later (on the same day!!) and assessed my situation. I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about what he told me had to be done (tearing out part of the wall and such), but after conferring with a couple of folks, was told that it was indeed necessary. I did send the tech away without performing the job initially, however, called back a few days later and set another appointment to have the work done. Again, promptness in scheduling....again sent a tech the same day!! I figured I would be stuck with additional charges (I bought the $79 for $250 offer) for "parts". I was pleasantly surprised that it only went over a little bit than what I had already paid for as the job took almost 3 hours to complete. The technician was very pleasant and professional. I have to admit, I was surprised that all went so well, but very, very happy with the outcome!

I didnt use the deal because prior to purchasing I contacted the provider and verified that the services I needed to have done could be tooken care of with the purchase of one deal. After the purchase, the provider requested for additional costs.

Kitchen sinks were completely backed up. They came an hour after I called. He used a power auger thru the trap to clear about 30 feet of drain line down to the basement and past the laundry sink which was also slow to drain. Both now drain better than ever. He was careful not to make a mess and was very professional. The work took about an hour and I felt the price was a bit steep, but the problem had to be addressed immediately.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services installed a new faucet. The technicians that came out to my home was extremely accommodating, and the complete process was wonderful!

I hired him to check out my non functional garbage disposal. He said it was not reparable which is reasonable since it is about 10 years old. Purchased a new garbage disposal and had it installed immediately. The serviceman was kind and did a good job quickly.

It went very well. I was very pleased with the overall experience. I was told someone would be here within the hour, and he was. Jeff was my technician. He was extremely professional. He was friendly but didn't spend more time talking than working. He took time to analyze the issue, determined a course of action and did it. He told me the cost up front, and told me I would have a 6 month guarantee if the issue happened again there would be no charge. There were no hidden cost or expenses. Not only did he snake the drain but went out to the street to make sure his snake went to the end of the drain. He then had me test it to make sure it worked. In fact, he offered to let me test it a 2nd time. I told him it wasn't necessary since I have a 6 month guarantee. I am very happy with the job done and will use them again as well as recommend them to family and friends.

Went great! They were friendly, and quick to respond. Tech arrived at my house Saturday morning, and was gone within 30 minutes with my Garbage disposal and sink working just fine.

A tenant in a rental property advised me that the drain was backing up. I have used Roto Rooter before so I called for an appointment. They came out promptly but the first technician was unwilling to do anything since we did not have a cleanout port. He did not want to consider alternatives, nor was he willing to go into the crawl space to see if it looked like there had been a cleanout installed previously. He called the office to send someone over to estimate what it would take to install a cleanout. The estimator came within an hour and quoted me $2875 to install the cleanout. He explained once it was in place they would run the jetter down the line to clean it out and they would then run a camera down the line to make sure it was clear. I received a call that the camera showed there was a huge tree root obstructing the line. It was large enough that the jetter could not clear it. He said we needed to dig up the line remove the root and reinstall a new plastic line. He told me it would be an additional $600 to do that but that we would not charge me for the jetter. They scheduled the job promptly and replaced the line. In the course of doing the work, found that the original line to the sewer went through an old septic tank which is against code. Because their work has to be inspected by the city they told me the tank had to be pumped out and filled with gravel and a new line installed in that section of the sewer line. They quoted me $1500 to do this. While I think the price was way too high for the work done, I will say they were professional and timely. They cleaned up the yard where they had done the work and gave me hints on how to take care of it to minimize the mound of dirt left. I struggled with how to rate them because I was pleased with everything but the price.

The gas line install is satisfactory. In fact, the job they did was a ton easier than I had expected. They simply T'd into the main gas line, ran a 6 foot flexible pipe over and up through the floor. The service took 1.5hrs to complete. If that was the whole story, it'd be a job well done. They sent people out 3 times this day, the first couldn't do the job, the second time the guy needed parts, and the third time two guys showed up to do the job of one experienced plumber, which ended up costing me $250/hr in labor. Good bye Angie's List coupon. The two guys took their time, sitting in front of the house for ~20 minutes before coming in. They chatted us up at the kitchen table, saying how only 25 people in the city have this special key, and he's so important he had one. They also stated the labor was $125/hour. They did the job and left the house 1.5hrs later. Then they sat in front of the house for another 30 minutes, one guy was standing next to the drivers side door of the other guy and they just talked. Perhaps the second guy was training and learning how to do paperwork, I don't know, I didn't ask. Then when I received a bill for 3 hours of labor for a job that only took 1.5, something smelled fishy. When I called in, their manager said that the GPS showed they were at my house for 3 hours, so that's what I'm charged for "so there." Immature and overpriced. Save your $250/hr for brain surgery, not plumbing, will definitely never use RotoRooter ever again.

This began November 18, 2013. Told us we needed part of the main line replaced. Replaced that section and did not solve all the problems. Charged us to come back out again. Came back with camera after the fact (wanted done the first time) and found another part of line needed replaced. In doing work, told us no trees or shrubs would be removed, only part of the concrete sidewalk. When construction crew arrived to do the work, they were informed that the main line was underneath the sidewalk. They didn't want to remove the sidewalk so they removed a tree and shrub but then still had to remove a section of sidewalk. When line was installed, they tried to put the tree back. After the first rain, the tree fell over and broke one of the porch lights. Called them and after many, many calls, they finally picked up the light to get it repaired. The light was finally returned (after many calls) the first of October, 2014. As for the sidewalk, this spring they can to replace the section of removed sidewalk. Did not set concrete forms the way they were instructed. Concrete walk was not poured level. It is off by more than 2 inches and it dips in the center holding water which will cause an ice patch in winter. The excavating manager came out and agreed that it was a poorly done job and would take care of it. As of Oct. 17, 2014 it has not been repaired.

The service was horrible. 1st visit: Plumber was over 30 min late from the time window they gave me. He spent a lot of time in his truck nit took him an hour to replace the guts of the upstairs toilet (a simple 30 min job according to the second plumber). Then it took an hour for him to take off the toilet downstairs to figure out it was rocking because the flange was broken. He then quoted me $700 to fix that. I sent him away. 2nd visit: Plumber was 50 minutes late from the time window they gave me. He did repair the flange, but charged me an additional $200 over the price of the Angie's List deal I had already purchased for $250 worth of labor. I would never use them again.

Took the day off from work. Had an appointment for 8-9AM. Received a call letting me know the plumber was running late. Arrival time moved to between 9AM and 9:30AM per a phone call from the office. Next thing you know it's 10 o'clock. I call and was told he was half an hour out. Long story short, he arrives around 1:30PM. So much for my day off. The plumber was aware of the pipe needing to be repaired as well as the toilet installation. He did not seem aware of the vanity installation. All was included in the initial set up call for this appointment. He begins explaining how toilets function and provided cost information for the toilet which happened to be almost 3X what Lowes asked for. Anybody paying $359 for a toilet installation needs to get their head examined. Next he examined the pipe and said it would likely take an hour to repair @ $215 an hour. Great! Now my $250 Angie's List deal is all tied up in the leaky pipe. Thoughts of getting the toilet and vanity installed were mere pipe dreams at this point (pun intended!). Initially the plumber said he would write up an estimate for me and my wife to review...then come back to do the work. I DON'T THINK SO!!! I had him repair the pipe because I refuse to wait on another service call from this company. He did a great job fixing the pipe...credit given where credit is deserved. Never received an apology for being several hours late and found it insulting that the coupon only got my leaking pipe fixed. But you live and learn. Maybe my expectations were too high? Please don't take my review as bashing...just stating the facts as they occurred.

Ryan was very professional. Given cost up front for floor drain $295. Then $231.00 for sewer main clean out. He said that the camera should be used and would be out soon. It took 3 hours for the man to show. Roto Rooter was here for 4:30 minutes total most of it waiting for the camera. Before the first service, I was asked to sign a blank work approval invoice. . I added what was to be done. At the end, it was torn up and I signed a final invoice, which stated that I had "no warranty" on the work. It has always had a 6 month warranty before. They want to redo the whole line for $8000. No I did not use the coupon as I needed the service right away.

Plumber was very professional and knowledgable. Performed the service. cleaned up what little mess that was made and was done in a short period of time.

I had tried everything to unclog my kitchen sink for a week. I finally got on Angie's list and coincidentally they had a deal listed. I called and Ryan was there within 90 minutes or less coming from the Northside. He was very professional, informative, courteous and even cleaned away the greasy gunk that was in the sink! He explained everything he was doing and why, giving future preventative tips. Ryan was very helpful and pleasant. Hopefully I won't need future service but if I did I would ask for Ryan again!

Called the provider to schedule an appointment on Saturday around Noon. I had a callback from Tech in 30 minutes. Ken from Roto Rooters showed up at scheduled time the same day. Excellent work By Ken. I would refer this provider to anyone in my circle.

Scheduled service at 11pm night before for a 10 -noon appointment. Roto-Rooter called at 10:15 and said tech would be there in 20 minutes. Dwayne showed about 15 minutes later. Confirmed what was wrong and got to work on the main cleanout outside. Cleaned the drain in about 15 minutes. Dwayne was professional and personable. He suggested a buy in now instead of the $40 coupon I had. I saved about $150! I would use Roto-Rooter again.

The technician researched the problem, and explained in detail the parts and work required to fix the problem. He was a very knowledgeable and very professional technician. He did a fantastic job. I will recommend his services to others. I will recommend his services to others. Harold C.

Ryan was fantastic. He came within an hour of calling the company and completed all the work successfully within about 3 hours and cleaned everything up after he finished. We were having a big dinner party the following night so it would have been a disaster if the work had not been completed.

Craig was very knowledgeable, explaining the process in detail. I had purchased an Angie's list coupon for $79.00 worth up to $250.00 of plumbing and repair service.The job was completed promptly and efficiently.
