Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

My repair needs were more than what was initially expected. My main sewer line will need a clean out installed and at least a water jet cleaning to remove roots/debree from line. This would be a major task estimated at $2,000.00-$3,000.00. I will get more estimates and go from there. I would like to say the plumber was very carefull to not make a mess and left his work area very clean. For what I recieved from Roto Rooter I would recommend them for minor main sewer line clogs.

My shower faucet had completely stopped working so I had absolutely no pressure coming out of the faucet or shower. I purchased a new diverter (behind the wall main water intake) and had Ron install it for me. He did an excellent job explaining the costs involved and process. He did a great job of completing the work in a timely manner and we have enjoyed hot, high pressure showers and baths ever since. I purchased the Big Deal for $79 for $250 worth of plumbing labor. I was able to call and make the appointment and they were out the same day. I was given a 3 hour window from 6-9 but asked if I could have it as close to 6 as possible. Normally when you make a request like this with a company it's impossible to have it done, well I got a call at 5:45 saying the technician was on his way. He arrived at 6:15 and was in uniform and clean he assessed the situation explained to me in detail what he was going to do and obstacles that may arise. Extremely professional and polite and was in and out in just under 2 hours and everything is working perfectly, they even guarantee their work for 6 months! Overall a great experience and I would defintiely use them again.

The provider called multiple times before coming out to let me know that they could fit me in an earlier time because they had a technician in the area. When the tech arrived he was very professional and kind. He evaluated my issue and then he went to work. After he completed his job he advised me of the cause of my drain blockage.

These guys did a great job. They fixed issues that we had from previous plumbers who did not do a good job (not from the same place). They even noticed things we hadn't realized like our drinking water filter had a tube running into the sump pump which could have resulted in sewage getting into our drinking water if something went bad with the pump. They were extremely professional and great to work with. I would recommend them to anyone.

I purchased the coupon from Angie's List for $250 worth of work for $70. Root-Rooter contacted me the day I purchased the coupon to set up a day and time. The plumber (Craig) showed up on time, was courteous and polite. Work was done quickly and neatly. When I need more work done I will call and ask for Craig to do the work. He was excellent!

The plumber showed up on time and very quickly identified the cause of the leak. He quoted the time and materials required and was very quick. He rebuilt the valve with new internal seals and was very clean and professional. I would absolutely use Roto-Rooter again.

They did it fine. I wasn't there when they were there but they definitely solved the problem. We did have something over the additional cost.

When I called to schedule, the company was very customer service-focused, flexible, and polite and even when I called and asked that they come much sooner than originally scheduled. They did call ahead of the time they came and asked if it was still alright that they come. I was told I could have a technician come to the home for a free inspection/estimate before any work was done. When the technician arrived, he showed us a price list of work to be done before even looking at the sink drain. There was no opportunity for an estimate, and technician did not even seem to know we only wanted an estimate. We did, however, agree to the work. The technician spoke poor English, and thus, we struggled to communicate with him. The price for cleaning the drain was $300, but we were able to use a coupon through Angie's List to knock the price down about $171. The technician worked for about 10 minutes and was done. He said the drain wasn't very dirty, and thus, there wasn't much to clean. He did mention using a drain cleaner monthly and tried to sell us one of their drain cleaning products. We told him we were not interested. However, he added the price of the drain cleaner to our invoice anyway after using it (when we'd told him not to) and charged our credit card for the $68 container of drain cleaner even after we had said we were not interested. We assume this was all due to the technician's struggles to speak English and communicate with us well. I feel the price was very high for about 10 minutes of work. The sink does drain somewhat better now. I'm not sure I will use this provider again as the price was very high, and we ended up paying for a product we specifically said we did not want. Update: A few days after I submitted this review, I received a call from the local General Manager apologizing for the communication struggles with the technician. The technician was a transfer from another state and is reportedly taking English classes. The General Manager refunded the price of the drain cleaner that we were charged for, and he let us keep it free-of-charge. We were also refunded the extra price above the coupon for the drain cleaning. So in the end, we only paid the price of the Angie's List coupon. I definitely appreciate this attention to detail and the efforts to correct the concerns. I am impressed by the professionalism and high level of customer service.

Excellent, I was impressed with the timing. I called 7:30 this morning to make the appointment. they told me it would be between 12 and 2. they would call eh mon. prior to coming. when they called I was at work and had to call back. they told me he was 15 min. away. I told them I was 30 min away. it did not seem to be a problem. He came in and got right to work. He knew exactly what to do and be conservative about it. He was neat in his work of a diety job, protecting the underneath of my brand new cabinets. He cleaned up after himself. He mentioned the enzyme that they sell and th I ugh since my pipes are all new this would be a good way to maintain them. He was not pushy about selling it to me just informed me it was available.

Ken was outstanding! He immediately assessed the situation and provided a game plan to solve the problem and went to work. I really appreciated his full analysis and explanation before beginning work and his thoroughness of effort and effectivess on the job. He was very professional and we certainly will use him again if needed in the future.

Ryan contacted me after seeing our review and offered to send someone back out to address our situation. Jeff came out today and tried replacing the tub spout, but the water pressure is so high here it would not solve the problem. Jeff suggested an additional shut off that can be applied to the shower head. Roto Rooter responded quickly to our concern and did everything possible to help us without charging us anything additionally. Our initial review was hasty and perhaps unfair. Thank you!

Ken was very knowledgeable, courteous, efficient, and punctual. He provided great service for a clogged drain we had. The clog was hindering the kitchen sink and the washer, and when he was finished everything drained great. He replaced some old piping that had corroded and also took care of issues that he ran into during the work. It was relieving to know we had the repair properly done and I have no doubt it will save us a couple of disasters in the making.

Mike did a great job on my projects. I purchased the Big Deal, and he was able to quote the job time to be covered almost entirely by the deal. He also had to leave for parts and did not add this on to the job time. Was very pleased to get the two projects done for the price charged. Very fair. Thank you!

The provider responded within a few hours of the first call, immediately assessed problem, and called restoration services and a technician to use camera to check drain to sewer connection. He unclogged the drain and then roto rooter restoration services took over explaining the steps to demolition and restoration of the two bathrooms.

The plumber was Mark. He was very friendly and was able to determine exactly what was needed immediately. He gave us the exact quote for the needed service. We agreed to have him do the work. He got his equipment and unstopped the drains for us. Afterwards he explained exactly what he had done and told us if any problems happened in the next six months that it was covered under their warranty.

Our sewer line is extremely long and runs under trees. Roto-Rooter carries enough cable for the whole line. Their technician came the same day we called, and spent hours making sure all the clogs were gone. He worked hard and did an excellent job.

Good, but the quoted price was increased when the plumber went to pick up the valves.

I was having a leak and wanted him to put in a wax ring. He then told me it will take 1hr 15min to perform and that he charges $250.00/hr of service. It never stated this in the deal.

I had purchased a Big Deal for $79 worth of $250 plumbing labor. The hourly rate they charge is $215, so this covered roughly an hour and ten minutes. This company is very responsive and flexible with scheduling and was very professional when I wanted to switch the date of service. Mike, the plumber they sent out was very knowledgeable, easy to talk to and provided me with many tips on finishing my job correctly. Most importantly, he was very conscious of the time since I informed him I only wanted to utilize the Big Deal time I had purchased. He evaluated the job, informed me how he was going to proceed, and then went to his truck to gather all tools he would need. He did not start the time until he was downstairs working so I couldn't be happier with the person they sent out to perform my service.

I was impressed with the service provided by #667 Dwayne. Roto-Rooter was able to schedule Dwayne for the Day after I called (I called to schedule service around 5pm). The main reason for my choice had to do with the Angie's List coupon. Because of this coupon, the minimum service price was for the exact value of the coupon. As a homeowner, I would be a little miffed if the service actually costed $250 w/o coupon, b/c the Tech was in and out very quickly. Overall I am highly satisfied w/ Roto-rooter, and will ask for #667 if I need to schedule in the future (I am told that roots create seasonal problems). Thanks Dwayne!
