Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Roto Rooter got back to me promptly, gave me an appointment at a time convenient to me, showed up on time, were very professional and gave me an free estimate up front...however, Roto Rooter is INCREDIBLY expensive. $400 (once you consider I paid $79 for the deal) to replace a washer in the toilet and unstop a sink. WOW! I felt like the $250 coupon was like to having a $1 off coupon on the purchase of a Mercedes! Won't use again.

The services seem okay. I think it just took longer than we were expecting. I think they scheduled us for Tuesday in the morning but the technicians got here in the afternoon. I expected that they could have gotten to the root cause of the problem quicker.

I emailed the night before requesting service and received a email response that the plumber would be at my home between 11-12:00 p.m. the next day. Every couple of hours I would call and ask if they could give me an estimated time of arrival and their customer service rep always answered that they would get back to me "as soon as one of their technicians became free" At 7:00 p.m. I received the same response and told them that I would prefer at this point to be put on tomorrow's schedule. Once the plumber did show the next day (mid morning) I was satisfied with his work but truth be told I would have most likely not have used Roto Rooter due to their lack of response but I had already bought a coupon available on this site. My advice is to wait to buy one of the discount packages until you are sure they are going to respond in a timely manner because the discount you purchase can end up costing more in time loss than the face value of the coupon savings!

It was a great service. The guy was out there quick. He was very professional. There were no issues or whatsoever and he was on time. There were no additional charges for the service. Actually, it was all covered with the one Big Deal purchase. There was nothing overly exceptional, but he was good, proficient, and no issues. He did a good job.

We woke up to no water due to frozen pipes. I started thawing them out and then a pipe burst. I ordered a deal on Angie's list at 9:38 am and the plumber was at my house by 11 am! He (Steve) was very professional and courteous. He quickly came up with the solution and had it fixed in 5-10 minutes. He started checking for other possible leaks or problems and since there weren't any, he wrapped up. He even threw in some advice on how/when to flush my water heater to get good life out of it. By 11:30 am everything was fixed, we had running water and I was jumping in the shower! I'll definitely use Roto-Rooter for anything plumbing/draining in the future and would recommend them to any friends or family needing their services.

They dropped 2 people to look at the plumbing issue and they were very professional. They tried really hard to figure out the situation. They were nice and I don't have to spend a lot of money. They did a really good job.

That worked out well. They were polite and tidy. They cleaned up after themselves. There were no issues. They did a great job. Their responsiveness was excellent. They came when they said they would and they did the job.

They contacted us immediately after purchasing the deal. They came out the same day I bought it. They completed the job within a matter of hours. They were great!

I bought 79.00 voucher on Angies list worth 250.00 of service. Nice deal and value. "Smitty" from Roto Rooter was a little odd at times to deal with, but got the job done. Had to do some clean-up after he left. Over-all,,, It all worked out OK.

Fast response. Scheduled service right away. Technician was friendly and knowledgeable. Fixed issue quickly. Very helpful. I will call these guys for future plumbing and recommend highly.

Didn't go as my other experiences with Angie's list vendors. Guy came out, I explained,some problems with the tub faucets and leaking. He put a gasket in the drain but didn't fix the leaking handle. Even said I didn't meet the 79.00 and that he was just going to write it up as an estimate for a new water softener. I had asked him a question about the water softener and then he tried to give me an estimate to get a different one.

It went great. He was very professional and even put booties on to come in the house. I would highly recommend this Tim and Roto Rooter again!

Roto Rooter has been great. They arrived on time, conducted themselves professionally, and fixed an issue with my toilet running.

The technician arrived promptly, analyzed the problems and provided quotes for the additional work we wanted to consider and solved the immediate leak issues.

The service went really well. THey arrived when they said they would and gave a call before coming. The service man was nice and worked well. They tub was in perfect order when they left. They even gave us a jug of drain cleaner to use every month. I will use them again.

Service tech Ryan did a fantastic job. I had my sewer cleaned on 11/11/14 by another company on Angie's List. They were only able to clean 25-30 feet of my line due to roots. Ryan ran into the same roots, however with a 4" cutter and a huge amount of determination Ryan was able to run 100 feet of cable twice through my line. Than he ran a scope through the line to show me the root problem and suggested some measures to better the situation. I purchased a "Big Deal" for $79.00 to have this service done, the value of the work was $309.00. I am very satisfied with the service i was provided.

It went well. We do have a home warranty, but needed the work done promptly and figured it would not have been covered since the problem existed prior and was not caught on inspection. The cost, without my coupon was over $500, which was much more than I anticipated, even $250 + with the coupon was a lot. The plumber talked to a representative from the home warranty service and although the home warranty service wants to use their own technicians, explained the situation well enough that the home warranty covered all but the deductible. So out of pocket, with purchasing the 'big deal' was $179. Much better and really appreciate the extra step the plumber went to talk to the home warranty people. Washer and plumbing works great now!

Great. Found and fixed leak

The people that worked with us directly from the camera tech to the individuals who performed the actual work were very amiable individuals. The came out quickly, sized up the situation, quoted a price for the work, and completed the work in a very timely manner. The estimator was careful to point out that each stage of the "fix" could not be guaranteed to solve the problem b/c they couldn't get the camera all the way to the main sewer. So the easy fix turned out to not solve the problem so we had to go to phase two. Believe me it is not cheap to have your sewer cleaned or to have it repaired. We are thankful we had Utility Shield Insurance through the gas company. Without it our out of pocket expense would have been $10K. With the the insurance and the discount they negotiated we paid $4K. A lot of money, but definitely better than $10K. My advice to anyone who is thinking of buying an existing house is to have the sewer line scoped with a camera before you close on the deal. If we had done that, the owner would have had to pick up the tab! If you love tree/s in your yard be prepared for the roots to go after your sewer system!!!!

Obstruction removed. Water hammer not helped much. They installed a water pressure regulator, which lessened it some, however a simpler fix which I found online was to install water hammer arrestor devices inline with supply lines. That solved the problem, not the plumber.

I purchased the $79 Angie's list deal and honestly, it didn't start out that great. Had the service scheduled for Friday afternoon. I needed to have the toilet lifted & the drain (which was horribly clogged) routed out. The first guy that showed up on Friday (Smitty) was not interested in lifting a toilet - said he couldn't do it, but would have someone else come out. The second guy that showed up (Jeff Johnson) was simply awesome!!! We rescheduled for Saturday morning. Jeff showed up early, at about 9:00. Very long (and very gross) story short... it took 6 hours, two more Roto-Rooter guys (Jerry and Bill), two drain cleaning snakes, and a camera to get the drain unclogged and running clean. They were about to give up a couple times. I had visions of having to jack-hammer up the slab and replace the drains, with huge dollar signs ($$$$$$). I didn't cry, but I was close to the point of tears when they finally broke through. What a relief!!! Yes, it was more than the $79, but they did a LOT more than just simply clean out a drain. I was so relieved and very thankful. Jeff was nice, determined, pleasant, somewhat funny, professional, and congenial. I would definitely use them again (hopefully, I won't have to, but I would again in a heartbeat) Thank you so much Roto-Rooter - I was happy and impressed!

Excellent service. Contacted me immediately and scheduled for same day. Plumber was on time and professional. Diagnosed main line back up. We have used them several times for our rentals and will continue to do so.

The job went well, but we wish the clean out site wasn't so visible . It's in the middle of a grassy area not too far from our front door. Maybe some new landscaping in the spring when the dirt mound settles. Overall we were pleased and felt they did a very professional job.
