Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I had a backed up toilet that no amount of plunging I did would resolve. So, after checking Angie's List (as I always do), I found Roto-Rooter once again. I have used this particular agent in the past for a clogged up kitchen sink that required their 75-foot cable to unclog. I was pretty sure this toilet would not be a big deal, but required more tools than I had. I called Roto-Rooter, told them I was an Angie's List member, and they asked what time that day they could come out - giving me a 2-hour window. I was very surprised because in my experience, same day service just doesn't happen with most service providers. I was told the technician would be there between the hours of 2-4. I received a call at 1:00 advising me that someone would be there within the hour; which he was. Patrick arrived and, after putting his booties on, went and investigated the clogged toilet. Shortly thereafter, he came out and advised that this would be an easy fix. He gave me an estimate and I gave him my Angie's List coupon which I had printed out. I signed the service form giving him permission to proceed. He went right to work and the problem was immediately resolved. The technician was very personable, knowledgeable and professional in his demeanor. It was a big help that he is a dog lover as I have two dogs that wouldn't leave him alone. Ha! They clearly could sense that he was A-okay. I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone in need of a plumber for a clogged drain or toilet. He came in and looked at the project. He says it was going to cost $600 to replace two bathroom faucets. I told him I can go into Lowe's and get it done for about $200. I told him I wasn't going to pay $600 and he told me he knew that. I got the work done for $115 by a contractor.

It went for 48 hours. There were no extra charges. They were responsive, reliable and easy to get in touch with regarding scheduling. They were always on time for the appointments. It was an easy experience.

Excellent Service overall. Called at 2:00, plumber was as the house at 2:30.! Company uses std price list by the job. Plumber was friendly, patient with all my questions, and efficient.

The guy they sent out was very knowledgeable and he fixed it. I would refer them but only with the special coupon because they are too high priced. The price of the coupon was excellent. I would use them again as long as I have a coupon for them.

Polite, punctual, professional. Took great care not to damage kitchen floor or cupboard. Install was difficult however he stuck with it and successfully installed new unit.

The job didn't take long at all. They did the work and cleaned up afterwards. They checked several times to make sure that there was no leaks. They even installed a new toilet seat (I had that and intended to do it after they left. They did it for me as a courtesey.

Amazing! The service tech was so very helpful and made sure that everything was kept clean. Besides covering his boots with plastic shoe-bags, he also covered the wheels of the electric machine that did the drain cleaning. After he was finished, he made sure the sink cabinet was spotless also. The technician was the most awesome and polite tech who has ever come to our house. I cannot remember his name, but I do know that he is from Burma. I know that his name starts with a "M," and he was a good, caring person. I will call this company again. I used a $79 Angie's List coupon. That covered the cost of the drain cleaning. I also had two dripping faucets, and was going to let the tech fix them. However, when he pulled out his price list, I saw that each dripping faucet would be an additional $299. I said no to those fees. I just could not justify spending almost $600 to fix two dripping faucets. Those prices were the only negative part of the visit.

It was okay. It wasn't great. Their prices were really high. The guy came out and gave us some good information. He was very professional but their prices were high. They were very punctual and very professional. I didn't feel their price they were asking was fair. Their labor cost was really high.

The plumber was very friendly and helpful. I did think the price was very high. The job was extremely well done.

It was ok. It was a new person working and he did not fully understand prices and information on how Angies List works.

He unclogged the pipes and now everything is fine and I've learned that you have to roto root the washer lines once in a while! Lesson learned.

They did a good job and the problem was fixed right away. I called them around 5pm and they came out at about 8pm. It was nice that they were able to come out so soon and fix the issue! They had a manager come out a few days after to do a camera inspection to make sure everything was cleared up and there were no issues. Very professional and courteous. Both technicians were polite and professional. I am very happy with the service. The only complaint I would have is that $309 is pretty expensive to snake the drain.

The service was good. One person came out and it took him about three hours to complete the job. He cleaned up very good. I would say they did a good job.

I was not at home, but my wife said he ran a flexible cable down the toilet bowl, then told her that it seemed to have solved the problem. Not so...I really think the issue is the flushing system becasue it has continued to not flush properly. I have a bladder filled air assist type toilet and in my opinion, I think the bladder or some component has a leak internal to the tank top. I have to flush 2 to 4 times before it will actually flush...this is standard proceedure. My wife said he never looked at the air assist power flush system, but simply kept running the flex tube down the toilet. I am not a plumber, but I don't think there is an obstruction that is causing the slow/no flush issue, but rather the air assist system.

It went very well. They were able to send out a technician almost immediately. He was very polite and very professional.

I purchased a deal for $250 worth of plumbing service. The total cost to replace the kitchen faucet turned out to be $521. This service should not have cost more than the $250 deal but I ended up having to pay an additional $271 to help them make a bigger profit on the deal.

Called roto-rooter to repair a clogged house sewer. Upon running a camera into the line it was discovered that the line had separated and became clogged about 8 feet beyond the house. Due to the urgency of the situation I authorized them to dig up and repair the line with an estimate of $1835. Two repairmen came about an hour later and dug out the line by hand and repaired the break. The entire task took approx 90 min and probably no more than $40 of parts and supplies. That equates to approx $600 per man hour. The quality of work and professionalism of the repair crew was very good and they certainly did not kill time.
