Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

They are very disorganized. They kept saying someone would come out and no one ever calls or shows up. When they do show up, they do not know what to do and leave.

Wonderful! This could have been a disaster but Roto-Rooter tech Steve #0643 out of Indpls Branch #168 made me a Roto-Rooter client for life. It started out with an Angie's List Big Deal, that led to a miscommunication that could have been avoided if Angie's List had not had this "deal" listed because it was at the time not valid!! Steve from Roto-Rooter arrived on time, very professional installed pump and check valve. When it came time to pay the bill, which I was to have had $250.00 worth of labor done for $79.00 there were all kinds of problems because of miscommunication from all sides and Roto-Rooter could not honor that "Deal". Again I want to say I hold Angie's List completely responsible for this because if this had not been on their site as a deal...none of this would have happened, and their response to the matter was for Roto-Rooter to "unblock" so as to let me purchase this Deal. During all of this phone "haggling" the tech was helpful, respectful and finally through his talking with his supervisor took care of the "deal" themselves. What great customer service! It was great. I think the deal saved me $310 once it was all said and done. I'm very happy with their service. I have recommended this company and they have done several things for me.

At about 10 pm Sunday night water from bathtub drain suddenly began overflowing into my basement due to roots completely clogging the pipe from the house to the septic system. After mopping up the water in the basement, it was about 11 pm when I called the 800 number for Roto-Rooter hoping to get someone to come out by the next morning. To my surprise they were able to send someone that night to open the drain from the clean out access outside the house and also sent another person the next morning to check the line with a camera and found that all the roots were not gone. So they sent a third person to run an auger into the line again and get the remaining roots. I really appreciated that they came so quickly since the blocked line not only left me with a tub full of bath water leaking into my basement, but it also meant none of the toilets could be flushed. The first technician Chawng Vung worked on opening the line for almost 2 hours (until about 2 am) in the extremely cold weather to get out the huge mass of roots that had totally blocked the pipe. I will definitely call them again. The service is exceptional.

Our technician, Dave, showed up earlier than the expected appointment time, which was terrific. Dave was very friendly and polite. He immediately advised me of the $309 fee for the first two hours and indicated that if there were a more significant issue it would be just over $200/hr. We were lucky enough to purchase the Big Deal $79 for $250 of work and it helped tremendously. A truly great value! Fortunately, Dave was able to fix the back-up in about an hour. Dave was thorough in explaining the process and what he would be looking for as warning signs to bigger issues. I would recommend both Dave and Roto-Rooter.

Diagnosed the issue. Provided written quote. I authorized. He repaired. Job done.

It was pretty good. After 2 months, the drained got clogged up again. They told me that we had like a 3 months guarantee so I'm going to have to call them back to see if they would honor that.

It was kind of a problem because I ended up having to pay over $300 after paying for the service. I was really disappointed. The concern I had was it wasn't until they got here that I found out that what I had initially paid could only be used on one job. When I asked about having the $10-$12 faucet replaced, I found out that I had to pay extra for the labor. Availability was fine. Updated grade: This company followed up with me to discuss my concerns. I greatly appreciated their customer service after I expressed disappointment in my changes. In addition, they refunded a portion of the bill in an effort to address my concerns. As a result I have ungraded my review.

The technician was able to come out that day. He cleaned and tightened the threads on the trap.

They showed up very quickly, which was important because water was flooding the bathroom. They arrived within about an hour and were finished within another hour. The technician was very nice and answered all my questions.

Our experience was amazing. Our provider (patrick) was prompt, professional and friendly. The kitchen sink clogged past the sink trap and due to cold temperatures the clog then froze. He snaked the drain repeatedly while intermediately running hot water (manually draining/dumping the water.) He was patient and didn't give up until our issue resolved.

Serviceman was professional and knowledgeable. He convinced us not to install the sump pump we had purchased and tracked down a better quality alternate that would fit in our tiny available space. He did all of this on the same day, although the work was much more than we originally thought it would be. They also gave us a good discount since the project turned out to be much more expensive than we anticipated.

He did a nice job.? I would use them again.

The service worked out perfectly for me. They came out, did the work, and it was fine. It cost me the coupon of $59 for something that was supposed to be $249. Everything was good.

Cleaned out plugged drain. Explained how it could happen again and what to do to avoid a reappearance.

We were not displeased with the service, but we were displeased with how much the job was going to cost. They wanted to bill us extra beyond the price of the Big Deal that I had purchased. We had to compare their prices to other local providers in order to make sure we weren't getting ripped off. Their pricing was very vague and gave us no point of reference.

They were very nice, but the project ended up being much bigger than I had expected it to be, so I decided to return the dryer for an electric one, and not do the job. I would definitely use them again in the future.

They were very professional! Our power had gone out while he was working and he just grabbed a flash light and kept going. The new faucet looks great! Would definitely use them again!

It didn't work out. They advertised that it was for Madison County, but it isn’t. They never called me. I had to find someone else to do the work. I was very disappointed overall. The deal shouldn't have been offered to the people in Madison County and remained up on the website

Ken came out within an hour of my calling to give an estimate. He was very professional and made me very comfortable and convident in his workmanship.

I had put too much meat down the garbage disposal (lesson learned....) and water and debris was coming up into my 2 sinks causing the need for immediate plumbing services. ?I called Roto Rooter and was able to get someone out within 2 hours. ?I received my call saying the plumber would be there within 30 mins but I waited an hour or more. ?The plumber was very nice and professional. ?He cleaned up the little mess that was made under my sink and floor. ?The price was high but I also needed it done right away. ?I would use Roto Rooter again.

They came the same week I purchased the Big Deal. I had them do extra work which I paid for. I had some leaky faucets and a broken handle. The gentleman was very friendly and very informative.

Went well...No big issues to have to deal with.
