Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

It was fine.? I called the first number I found.? Very professional.? They seemed to know there stuff really well.? It was raining raw sewage in my basement.?

It was awful. He changed some things and came back and said it was going to cost sixteen hundred to fix. It was a circus. I just wanted him out of my house. It wasn't broken and he broke it. I needed something taken apart. He wasn't familiar with the toilet. I thought he was a nice guy. I sent a letter to the manager and no one got back to me. It was probably one of the worst experiences I have had. I didn't want to write a bad review because the work done here will reflect badly on the rest of the franchise that may be better than just one bad service from this particular vendor.

They did an excellent job. They were professional.

It was okay. He did an okay job, I wasn't impressed. I had to write him a check for like $20, because I gave him my list and we added it up. It wasn't bad enough, but it wasn't good enough for me to give a plus. When I gave him a whole list of things that I would like to do, the cost that he gave me for the additional things was very steep, which is why we just did a few things. What he did has stayed fixed.

It was excellent. I've used them before and they've always done an excellent job. They are very polite. They are always on time. They do a nice job installing and cleaning up. We couldn't have asked for a better service. They would have them 10 years ago and they were the same then too. I think the installation fee was slightly higher but the service was excellent. They came right away when we had an emergency so I was pleased. The quality was excellent.

It turned out fine. They were actually supposed to come back and I think put a camera down my drain to see if there was any other problems and they never really did that and I haven't been very good about calling them back to see when they were going to do it. They did unclog the drain but they didn't come back to see what the problem was or anything. I guess they did a good job. I think they were kind of in a hurry, I think that's why he didn't really tell me what was going on.

We always use them. It was fine. They have been around for a long time. They got my drain cleaned. They showed up on time. I would recommend them. The staff was clean and personable.

They do not do the type of pluming that I needed done. However they told me how to the job myself step by step. I am very impressed with this company that they are willing to save me money.

I was very happy with this company. I called around to multiple plumbers and they were the only one that could come out that day. He was very honest and upfront and careful with explaining all the information.

Roto-rooter came out to assess the leak, they were punctual and professional. Showed me prices to repair, which I thought we're quite expensive if we didn't have the promotional offer through Angie's List (would have been over $650!). We needed to get it repaired, so we agreed to their price. Plumber determined where the leak was coming from by cutting out a section of the back wall of one of our cabinets next to the sink (after determining it wasn't the sink itself). The plumber eventually found the cause of the leak, an exterior nail which had punctured a hole in the pvc pipe. Apparently had been there for quite some time, and before we moved in (2 1/2 yrs prior)--small section of the flooring above our crawl space was wet and moldy (supposed to have been fixed before we moved in, apparently wasn't). Plumber removed damaged section of pvc pipe, replaced with new section and sealed. Plumber had to work in confined space considering cabinet opening. He made sure the leak was fixed after work completed by filling the sink fully, draining it, and then going into the crawl space to see if any water trickled down. Once determined it was repaired, he replaced the back wall of our cabinet and sealed it. Cleaned up everything when finished. Haven't had an issue with it since.

It went well. He educated me on the problem, listened to me and my view of the problem and fixed the leak.

Excellent service. The big deal was good value for what we got. Please stop sending me this message to complete this review. This is now the THIRD time I have done this!

took a while to get to the results. scheduling was bad never on time.

The guy was supposed to be here between 8 and 10 on Friday morning and he got here about 4:00 in the afternoon. And then to make it even worse, when he got here he couldn't fix it. So he left and then another guy came Saturday morning and he showed up about 8:30 in the morning which he should have. He didn't have the part so he had to go get the parts and put the parts on and do all that. It took him about 4 hours he was here. I don't know if the job should have taken that long. I don't know if that is high or low, it is what you are willing to pay and we needed him at the time. We've used them twice and it's been this way both times. We've learned our lesson I guess and will probably use someone else.

After purchasing on Angie's list a service deal advertised for my zip code, the provider stated that the service was out of the area of service. In speaking with the provider, they refused to return my money or work with Angie's list to have them return it.

When the two technicians arrived, they informed us that the cost to clean the drain was over $300.00. When we indicated that we had purchased a deal through Angie's List for one drain cleaning for $79.00, they informed us that what we had purchased was a discount from their regular price, and that the drain cleaning would only cost $250.00. We explained that we had just spoken with their office and that the person who scheduled the service had verified that the coupon would get us a drain cleaning for $79.00. The technician insisted that we were wrong, that we did not understand what we had purchased. As we needed to get the drain cleaned and had already paid $79, we went ahead and had them start the service. While they were working, we first called the Roto-Rooter office and the woman who answered said that she was just a dispatcher (same number we had called earlier that morning) and that she knew nothing about this. We then called Angie's List directly. The person who helped us from Angie's List reviewed the coupon wording and concurred with us that this was, in fact, a deal for one drain cleaning for $79.00. Angie's List directly called the company, and after some time, indicated that she had clarified this with Roto-Rooter. We informed the technician who returned from his truck with a new invoice for $79.00. We felt that the technician who appeared to be in charge was intimidating. After they left, we received a call from the company office, a woman who also persisted in talking about "group-ons" and confusions in interpretation of the deal language. She wanted us to talk with the manager. We felt pressured by her as well, and insisted that we were not interested in further ongoing contact with this company. In conclusion, the drain works beautifully, the deal was great, Angie's List stepped in and provided excellent support and assistance with problem-solving, and we will not call Roto-Rooter for any further services.

We purchased a Big Deal where we got $250.00 of plumbing work for $79.00. It was several months after purchasing the deal before I scheduled this repair to get done but when I did contact Roto-Rooter, they were quick to respond both by email and phone. I was able to get an appointment scheduled within days of calling the company and the plumber arrived early in the range of service time provided. The work was done quickly with no problems. The job cost us $160.00 in addition to the $79.00 we paid for the big deal making our costs being $240.00 which didn't feel like we got such a big deal. It is was it is and we now have these handles fixed which has been on the "to do" list for years!
