Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

We called at 11am and were told they could be here within 2 hours. They showed up 7 hours later. I was told by the tech that he needed to cut a copper pipe and reattach a new fitting to the softener. I ask how long it would take and he said about 20 minutes. I then asked how much and he said $269. I told him i was an Angie's List member and then he took off $50. I still felt like that was to much. He said that was the best he could do. I told him to hold on while I call his office to see if there was a better price. I was told all of the managers left at 5pm and were not available. Then I looked outside and he had already left.

After I explained the problem I was having to the technician he told me of two options that he could use that would possibly solve my problem and the cost of each option. He stated he would try the lesser cost which is to use an auger to clear the toilet first. If that did not clear the problem then he would have to remove the toilet and run the snake through which is the more costly option. Blake continued to work with the auger until the blockage was cleared and my toilet problem was fixed. He flushed the toilet several times to make sure the water was flowing through the pipes as it should and suggested that I replace my fill valve because it did not appear to be working as well as it should. Although the technician is fresh out of training, he did a good job in repairing my toilet. He was courteous and handled himself in a professional manner and I will use him again should the need arise..

Nothing impressive, unclogging toilet and diagnosed a leaky shower.

Gentlemen was really nice. Not sure how "fixed" the toilets are. Their flushes are louder now, but running well.

We were in need of a new garbage disposal, and were very pleased with this experience. Not only was Roto-Rooter able to schedule an appointment quickly, but the gentleman that arrived was nice and very knowledgeable. He installed our new unit without issue and was very neat and tidy. The unit he suggested has been working well for almost a year now. And he didn't just try to sell us the most expensive, but the one that was the right fit for us. I love it - very quiet and you can remove the rubber splash guard for larger amounts of food. (BTW, I can't recall the exact price, so don't quote me).

The plumber was fantastic. He communicated only with my wife, but he provided good advice, made a quick diagnosis of our leaking sink, and endured the challenge of removing the old faucet which was haphazardly installed by the previous homeowner. It was a great relief that I did not have to do that work myself! He also gave us some warnings for future concerns regarding our kitchen plumbing. His work was well appreciated. The scheduling process was a disaster. The company recorded the wrong dates each time we made an appointment. For the first visit, they scheduled us for Thursday instead of Friday. However, we were unavailable on Thursday. For the second visit, they scheduled us for the following Thursday instead of the following Monday. My wife put off her entire afternoon only for the plumber to not show up. They squeezed us in the next morning, but to get two incorrect dates in a 4-day span was unacceptably frustrating, and that process will prevent me from working with them in the future.

Over the past few weeks my bath tub drain has become slower and slower to drain. Monday hours after a shower it was still not completely drained. I was off work and on a mission to have it fixed. I checked on Angie's List for a quality service provider that could quickly come to the rescue and I am glad I did. They were at my house in less than 2 hours from my call and went over pricing upfront. The technician was very professional and super nice to my 3 year old daughter who wanted to know what he was doing every step of the way. I would recommend them to anyone! Thanks for sending me your best plumber! He was great.

I had a toilet that continuously would run non-stop. I have changed the guts of toilet twice, but after a short while, it would continue to happen again. I also had a sink that needed an aerator added to the faucet and a shower handle that was broke, just needed a replacement handle. When the first plumber came out, he was acting as if he was injured, walking slow and dragging one leg. He diagnosed the toilet and informed me the guts needed changed, as I expected. He also looked at the shower and the aerator. The aerator, he said, would need completely replaced, because he could not replace the piece alone, he said if he tried to unscrew the piece, it would break on the inside. The shower, he said was too old and it would have to completely be replaced, from the handle to the shower head and the conjoining pipe behind the wall. He then went outside to his van and wrote up the estimate...when he came back, he said it would be $250 for the toilet plus parts! Then he quoted the replacement of the shower another $700+. I was totally taken by surprise and asked him about my "deal" purchase, he then said it would be best to use it for the toilet and pay approximately $50 for the parts, then pay out of pocket for the rest! When I brought up why the toilet costs so much, it only takes a max of 20 minutes (and that is generous), he explained they have a "standard amount" for a job!! $250 for the guts of a toilet to be replaced is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!! Even the $50 for the parts was insane, but I was expecting a hike up on parts. He spoke to his manager as I was asking how much just the hourly rate was, they explained that the prices were set according to job and I have to admit, they tried to work with me, but it still was absolutely ridiculous and made no sense. At this point, I just wanted this to be done, so I agreed to use my deal for just the toilet. About 2 weeks later, there was a funny smell coming from that bathroom. I called them to come back out and take a look, asked if it would be free of charge, and they said it would since it was in the 30 day period from work done. We scheduled for a Saturday morning, but when I pulled up on Friday evening, there they were! The man walked right in the bathroom and back out and said I needed to pay him a $69 service call fee before he diagnosed the problem, I refused, he said that is the protocol, though I continued to let him know that they were just out. He said he was going to his van to call the office and find out, next thing I know, he just pulled off and left!! After interrupting my day, just left with no solving the problem, no anything! I called the office and told the story to the woman who answered, she assured me that a manager would call me within the hour. Three hours went by, and no call. I called back and a different woman answered, I had to once again explain the entire situation, she again assured me a manager would call me back. Finally, they did, from home. He was very apologetic, said this was not how they worked, and said they would definitely be speaking with that technician. He advised me he was going to send the best of the best to resolve my issues. When the 3rd technician came out, he was very sincere and addressed everything I needed done (besides the shower), but he did let me know where I can find the part "they do not manufacture" anymore, also fixed the aerator in the sink, and told me how to prevent the sewer smell I was smelling. Which ended up being a trap drain that was not used being dry. Because of the last plumber, he is the only reason they are not receiving an "F" overall! I really wish I could remember his name, he definitely deserves the recognition, an extremely nice raise would be fantastic for him as well!!

Provider arrived on time. Was very professional. Completed work in a timely manner. Was able to correct work that had been previously done incorrectly by previous homeowner. This will save me any future problems. Cleaned up work area after completion. Would not hesitate to use again.

Our stools wouldn't flush so we knew there was a clog somewhere in the sewage line. We called Roto-rooter. They were very prompt. The serviceman was very professional, courteous, and efficient.

When I called, they were able to get a person out to my house that same day. Performed the drain cleaning as requested.

We actually had them come out twice. The first time, we explained our issue and he told us what he thought was the issue. No sales pitch and was trying to save us money rather than performing a service that would not help. Appreciated that but we later found out that wasn't the issue. Since we still had our "coupon" that we paid for we had them back. This time a different plumber came and he actually took quite a bit of time trying to figure out the issue. Again, no sales pitch and had our best interest at heart. We actually had him snake a toilet to use our coupon which helped him determine that he recommended we replace our toilets. We will be taking his advice. The service and the plumbers were great. A+. They will come out and help figure out your issues free of charge. Only complaint is that their service seems expensive. To replace a toilet is about $500 without the toilet, to clear a sewer drain is about 300+. and to snake a toilet is about $250 Would use them in an emergency but again their services a too expensive for non-emergency issues.

Albert and Dakota arrived at 8:30 and began work right away. Cement was hard to break up because it was deep and had chunks of cement in as a filler. They repaired the drain tile, running hose water through the extent of the outside drain tiles and saw that the pump now worked perfectly. Also made an extra trip to Home Depot to get a fitting to muffle the sound of the pump flush outside. Works well. Also, i asked if they would snake my stationary tub drains which they did. I was very pleased with their work.

I called at 10:00am - they were here by 11:00. Did a nice job, explained the issue and solved the problem.

Very good !! The plumber cleared a very difficult clog that was further down the line than expected. Required multiple attempts.

They were good. They were on time. The staff treated us very nicely. Originally, I would have said yes to using them again but we had another plumber come out this past week and he was not happy with some of their work.

It went okay. They did a fine job but they did not work well with our insurance company.

I had somebody else do the work. We called them out and they did fine. They did not charge me anything. I would use them again.

The first time it went okay and the second time it was much better. What stood out to me was they honored their commitment to quality by sending somebody out to my house to fix what has not been done correctly.

I am certain I answered these issue earlier; I thought I had three leaking sinks Their employee came out fairly rapidly fixed two sinks. The third which was the first to drip, told me he wasn't licensed for pressure lines. The pressure lines are the ones carrying in the water. The drain lines are out. The one undone. Leaked but a definitive answer could not be determined. Since he didn't want to lose his license, he didn't touch it. He made the correct decision for himself. I am upset with the company a bit for not calling me or messaging me how the job went so I could tell them I have a sink that maybe leaking a feed line so to do the job complete requires a higher license than who was sent.

I used the deal and all labor was accounted for. Very helpful and nice, even ran to several stores looking for the part I needed but did not charge me extra.

Service went well; he had to go to get replacement parts, which prolonged the service, but also provided great recommendations to save on cost.
