Description of Work: We had a leak where the sump pump pumps water from inside the house to the back of the house. It looked like it would require tearing out a section of our back brick wall, but the men that showed up, simply replaced a washer that had gone bad. they were in and out within an hour. I've used Roto Rooter in other states and have been impressed with their responsiveness and quality of work.

Description of Work: Not professional acting nor looking. When told to leave due to bad price quote, supposedly called manager to reduce the price quote. Came back ... did half the work. Left to supposedly buy the parts for a toilet (could not believe parts were not in the truck).

Description of Work: When I scheduled this Angie's special, I was asked what service I needed. I told them I had an American Standard toilet that would run off & on, a Delta faucet that dripped & a shower door that needed adjusted. When the service man was here, the toilet was working fine so he did nothing with this as I would expect. He told me they did nothing with shower doors. It took a long time to fix faucet because it kept leaking. He didn't have the right washers with him even though I told the lady the type of faucet. I had the correct washers so he used mine. When he showed me the bill, it was for $251+. I told him it was a special & then he said that price was w/o the special, so I owed only $1+. I asked why I still owed that even though I had the washers! He laughed & told me it would have been even higher if I hadn't had them even though I told them the brand of faucet when making the appointment. As it turned out, he did me a special favor??? & didn't charge me the $1+. After he left, I checked the faucet & found the screw had not been replaced in the back of the handle & it was loose & could easily lifted off. He should have know he did not replace the screw or at least should have mentioned if he lost it. It wasn't worth calling them back for one screw, but I didn't think that was very professional. Therefore, I will not use this company in the future nor recommend it to my friends---which I often do when I'm pleased! | | | | | | | | | |

Description of Work: The plastic drain pipe under the kitchen sink started leaking. I attempted to fix it myself, but discovered that the previous homeowner had installed all-new pipes under the sink and didn't do a good job. Pipes were not aligned properly and was not able to purchase a needed replacement piece because neither Lowe's or Menards carried it. So I bought an Angie's Big Deal from Roto Rooter and they did the necessary repair/replacement. The plumber was challenge by the project and had to make two trips to the hardware store to find parts that could be configured properly, but finally finished the job successfully. The total cost would have been $350, but with the Big Deal plus the cost of parts, my total was only $95.

Description of Work: We had sewage backup during 4th of July weekend. Initially we had a separate company come out to do the repair but that company did not have the appropriate equipment to clear out the problem. After calling several local companies with no immediate response (I suspect because it was a holiday weekend), Rotor Rooter not only answered the phone call immediately but arrived within a couple of hours to assess the situation. They worked all Saturday afternoon trying to clear out the pipe. We have an older house that did not have a sewage access point outside. Without success, a crew came out to install a sewage access point the next morning (Sunday) so the can figure out the problem. Later Sunday morning the pipe cleaning crew came out and quickly assessed and cleared the clogging. He showed me where the problem was - tree root found its way into the pipe. The clearing of the root fixed the immediate problem but eventually there was the likely hood that the root would grow back into that same area again. So we asked them to dig up that area and fix the problem. Since there was no urgency in getting this done, they came back Tuesday morning to finish the job. They also ensured that all city inspections were completed.
