He always communicates regarding scheduling, pricing and was extraordinarly flexible in scheduling around other contractors I had working in the house. I'm beyond thrilled with the final product and everyone who comes to my house comments on the beautiful island he built.
Description of Work: Built new upper cabinets and installed on top of my existing upper cabinets, built all new doors to match my existing cabinet doors, built a custom island, reconfigured existing cabinetry to accomodate all new appliances, built and installed new stair handrail.

+ -1 moreI submitted to him a contract that I wanted him to sign before he did the work. He said that he would not sign a contract due to the fact that I am an attorney. He said that he never signs contract, he just does the work and then gets paid for it. I asked what revisions he would want to make it acceptable. He said after receiving my contract he would not business with me. First, because I was an attorney and secondly because he does not sign contracts.
Description of Work: I got an estimate from him to build custom cabinets.

+ 0 moreBob was very easy to deal with and very receptive to our ideas. The quality of the cabinets is nothing like what you find in the stores today, they are far superior. The level of craftsmanship Bob provided is extremely hard to find anymore. Bob's attention to detail was excellent. The installation took longer then we had expected, but this was due to Bob's desire for perfection. We couldn't be more happy with our built ins and will use Bob again and would highly recommend him to anyone.
Description of Work: Bob built and installed built ins in our office. The built ins covered an entire wall in our home office and were comprised of bookcases, file drawers, desk area, recessed lighting, and pull our shelves.

It is always a pleasant experience to have Bob come do a job. The quality of his work is excellent too. He is a one-man operation and he takes his commitments to his customers very seriously. His rates are very reasonable. I have used Bob once before, and I will continue to request his services in the future.
Description of Work: Needed a cabinet cut down to accommodate a new refrigerator whose purchase was part of a kitchen renovation. Bob promptly returned my phone call and we scheduled a date for him to come out and assessed what needed to be done. The next evening he came back and did the work.

+ -1 moreThe process went extremely well and was completed in a timely fashion. After an initial visit to take measurements, Bob returned to do the work. His measurements were right on and the finished project looks great. A new strip of cherry wood had to be installed between the two appliances and the area blends very well with the original cabinets. I would highly recommend Bob as a carpenter/woodworker provider.
Description of Work: Old oven/microwave combo had to be removed and a shelf built to accommodate the new microwave, as well as install the new oven in the same cut out cabinet space area.

+ 1 moreBob Kolarich, in his initial visit with us, reviewed our drawings and specifications and prepared his price quote. Upon our acceptance of the quotation, Bob returned to gather additional information and double check measurements to facilitate the fabrication process. The components and partial assembly of cabinetry was done in his shop. The final assembly was done in our home. All of the work was performed with extreme precision and professionalism. Bob was prompt to arrive and was always careful to clean up each day before leaving our home. He was willing to address little details that we had not considered in the planning process. Overall, we were extremely satisfied and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bob to anyone.
Description of Work: Bob Kolarich, of R Martin Woodworking, fabricated and installed three items based on the homeowners' specifications: 1 wine rack in the kitchen (replacing the open area beneath a desk) 2 cabinetry enclosure around a counter-depth refrigerator....(included removing and raising up existing cupboards that were located above the old refrigerator) 3 wood panel located along the front side of a faux marble Jacuzzi bathtub located in the master bathroom

+ -1 moreBob Kolarich (owner) came out and discussed what we wanted, made some suggestions, and about 4 or 5 five days later gave us a price.We accepted and two weeks later Bob came out and removed the old and installed the new. There were a couple of glitches but Bob returned a few days later and fixed everything up. Good job.
Description of Work: Removed and replaced a vanity top and sink in one bathroom. Removed a large mirror and lights, built and installed a cabinet with lights and outlets over the sink in another bathroom.

+ -1 moreWe contacted R. Martin Woodworks via e-mail and received a quick reply regarding our request for a bid. Throughout the bidding process Mr. Kolarich was thorough, prompt and courteous. At the time we hired him, Mr. Kolarich had 2 other projects but he informed us of his timeline and he delivered our units on the date promised. During the installation he was patient with my 3 young children who wanted to observe. The quality of the cabinets are amazing. Everyone that comes to our home comments on their beauty and the way they've enhanced our space.
Description of Work: Built and installed 2 maple wall units surrounding existing fireplace. Lower cabinets with doors created to match current kitchen cabinets, adjustable shelving, outlets, 36" tall. Upper units with maple backing, 3 shelves per unit, adjustable shelving, crown molding. Each unit is 96" tall and 90" wide. We stained them after installation.

+ -1 moreBob's work is perfect. He can design the layout of the project and put all the parts together in a flawless manner. With each project, his creations were so much prettier than I had imagined. I am so pleased with the outcome.
Description of Work: In the last year, our 1950's ranch style home has been totally renovated. Bob started working on the family room to removed all paneling, cabinets and shelves. He built and installed new bookshelves, replaced paneling with plaster, installed crown moldings and baseboards. The next project he worked on was the kitchen. He removed all the counter tops, some of the cabinets, and the peninsula, oven, built in range and dishwasher. He built new cabinets to replace those that were removed. He built a large island that included a refrigerator, range, bookshelves, large cabinet spaces, electrical outlets and sitting area. New cabinets included a pantry, space for the ovens, and dishwasher. Bob completed those jobs as well as hanging doors plus many smaller tasks. Prior to that he had been working with a family member making and installing beautiful and complicated paneling in their high ceiling family room. Between the two families he has worked with us for over a year.

He did an outstanding job on the installation and it truly looks great. He is nothing less than professional and I highly recommend him for this type of work, as I will definitely call him again in the future myself. I would also like to point out that he told me how long the project would take and called me with an update along the way. He is a true craftsman.
Description of Work: I had a small island that was built in my kitchen with the home. It was not big enough and I wanted a place where people could sit as well. Bob came in and measured and took a color sample so that he could build onto the existing island.

After completing the job described here he went on to build a free standing cabinet which our TV sits on. He was able to match it perfect to some other pieces that we already had. I will definitely ask Bob to help us with future projects.
Description of Work: Bob build a very large built-in cabinet in our living room. It included cabinets, decorative display areas, drawers, and a built in plasma TV with retractable doors. He assembled it in a matter of 3 days after building it in his shop. The work was excellent and he has a real eye for detail and perfection. Bob was also very responsive to suggestions such as lighting and paint color.

He really takes pride in his work, is friendly, and was an overall pleasure to work with. We plan to use him again for a basement remodel.

Bob built in a wire management system to handle the printers and scanner that are sitting on the window seat (with a hinged lid to access the outlet behind). Someday we'll replace the printers with a cushion. It's very impressive!
Description of Work: Added built-in bookcases and cabinets to convert a 3rd bedroom into a combination office/guest room. The unit covers a 12 foot wall floor to ceiling wrapping around a window. Built and stained to match a contemporary cherry desk. Beneath the window is a window seat with file drawers below.
