JLopez Moving

I have moved eight times, using both the large national companies and local movers. J Lopez Moving Company is without a doubt the best mover I've ever had. The crew was calm, professional, and super careful with my furniture and boxes. Everything was very carefully wrapped. The day we moved it hit 100 degrees, and they had to carry furniture and boxes up to a second floor apartment. They did so without complaint. I just can't say enough about this company--they were a real pleasure to do business with. I'd hire them again without shopping other movers.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! They scheduled us for a move, sent us a confirmation email, and FORGOT ABOUT US. We had to call them over and over and at first they refused to come the same day to move us and finally after my wife cried her eyes out to them they finally agreed to come late in the evening. We only agreed to this after we were told they would give us a SUBSTANTIAL discount for their huge mistake. This was all verbal over the phone and we agreed to let them move us. Instead of this being just a huge inconvenience, now I won't be able to watch my daughter's face as she walked into her new bedroom for the first time because I was stuck at my previous home until this ridiculous moving company showed up. They ended up moving our home until well after 10pm and then proceeded to charge us EXTRA for the move. They claimed we had more stuff than they initially agreed to and that it took longer than expected. After forgetting to put us on the schedule after they sent us a confirmation email for the correct day and time and making me miss an important moment in my child's life, THEY HAD THE NERVE TO REFUSE THE DISCOUNT AND CHARGE US EXTRA! This is not a made up story no matter how crazy it sounds. Unfortunately it really happened and I'm pretty sure I'm not the first customer that's gone through this. This company is dishonest and disorganized plain and simple. This is not how a trustworthy and successful moving business is run and this is not how you treat customers if you want any kind of return business. There are PLENTY of other movers out there. Any one of them would be better than this place.

Moving from 2 Bedroom Apartment to One Bedroom Apartment in Downtown Indy

They did a good job. They were hard workers, and were willing to make extra trips for me.

They shoved my washer and dryer in at the end of the truck and forced the door down, as a result, my new $700 washer has a dent completely across the front. The doors to my corner china cabinet were knocked out on the bottom and will have to fixed We saw the movers put our Worx (leaf blower) on the truck, but it didn't unloaded at the new house. I called and sent an email with pictures. On the call they accused my son of misplacing the leaf blower. And responded in email that none of it was their fault.

This was the second time I worked with JLopez Moving. All I can say is that Johnny and his team are OUTSTANDING!! They moved me in 2017 and then moved me again in 2019 and I was so happy that they were available to assist. They are professional, courteous, timely, kind, and gentle with my property. They provided their suggestions ahead of time to allow me to make the appropriate plans, but did everything in their power to also minimize my expenses. You will make a wise choice with Jlopez.

I highly recommend! Communication from day 1 was always great. Immediate responses to all emails. Price was exactly as agreed upon. Movers worked hard, we’re very friendly and polite. Will hire again if needed!!! Thank you JLopez!!

These guys were great! All responses were prompt, they were flexible with our changing moving date and they came in with the lowest estimate. They worked really hard and moved a few extra things around in our new space. Friendly and polite. Would definitely use again.

They were very efficient and friendly! I've used other moving companies in the past and they would take their time and take breaks between moving things. I couldn't believe how they didn't ever just take a break. 100% recommend!

They did a wonderful job. Very quick and professional.

It went great! the guys were very efficient. I have a family of four and a lot of stuff! we got the deal for two guys and 3 hours. My buddy and I helped them since it was to much for two guys in that time frame. They brought two truck loaded them to the gills and off we wet. It took one additional hour plus tip and it's the best money I've spent. Super cautious and didn't break anything and they didn't ding up our walls and doors. I would definitely recommend them!!!

Team was efficient and brought many more hands than were advertised. Completed the move under 4 hours. Team was professional and communicated well even after a hot day of moving. Would absolutely use them again.

I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. The guys were nice but they moved entirely too slow. It took a total of 7 hours for them to load and unload the truck. They took several breaks and even had a child show up in the middle of the move (which I am not sure if they left to go pick him up or not during the time I paid to be moved. It took a total of 4 hours for them to load up my items in my old apartment and then 3 to unload at the new apartment. When I use another company in the past, they were able to knock out the move in 2 hours. I do think that they purposely took longer to move my items to get paid for 3 hours of service. My main issue is that they arrived at 10 AM, finished at at 4:30 and charge me for a total of 7 hours (4 from the angies list deal, and out of pocket for the additional 3). They took 3 30 minutes breaks that I paid for. If you decide to proceed with this company just make sure you understand the work will not be completed in the 4 hour time slot. One of the movers took a 15 minute bathroom break at my old apartment as well. I just feel that I should have only been charged for an additional hour, maybe even 2 with the number of breaks that they took. Another issue is that they were unable to more my TVs, after I called to give him the size of the TVs. On moving day he acted as if we never spoke on the phone or emailed about the size of the TVs. Also they damaged my walls and floors at my new place in which I will have to pay for to be fixed. Moral of the story go with 2 men and a truck or another company like that to save time and money. Yeah JLopez is cheaper up front but you still end up spending close to $900. At least with the other company you are covered for damages, and it will not take the entire day.

It was great we were very happy with the movers that were sent over they very fast and polite. It was worth it so we didn't have to worry about our big move.

It went very well. They accommodated 3 schedule changes by me, the last of which required them to work late into a Friday evening. They took great care moving everything, loaded it very efficiently, and truly went above and beyond. Very friendly too.

I've used Lopez Moving twice to move locally from house to house, and it's the best moving company I've ever used. They packed for me & moved everything without damaging anything. The price was good & they were professional. I highly recommend this company.

Lopez Moving was awesome! I would highly recommend. They took great care with our furnishings and worked really hard. Even came back the next day when we mis-judged how long it would take to move our things.

Paid for the 4 hour deal. Took exactly 4 hours. They do take 30 mins out for travel, which was understandable. Showed up right on time. Paid for 3 movers and 1 truck; only 2 movers came and they supplied 2 smaller trucks. I wasn't too upset since they were still able to get everything done in the timeframe. Moved entire bedroom set, living room set, and dining room set.

Everything seemed to go smoothly. The staff was friendly and moved at a decent speed. However, there ended up being one huge issue that we did not notice until a few days after the move. Our new $2200 king mattress was damaged. This mattress includes a thin down feather pillow top. Due to improper storage in their truck, the mattress was not securely placed/stored during transportation. This caused the mattress to move around during the 20 minute trip, shifting the feathers to one end. The down material is now lumped on one side of the mattress. This issue could have easily been avoided had the mattress been firmly locked into place before transporting. Other than the expensive mattress damage, the move went well. We are hoping there's some way to fix the issue/damage they created. Any suggestions Angie?
