Description of Work: Had a sheer, beaded jacket that needed the sleeves shortened. Job was difficult and one I would not dare attempt myself even though I sew. The sleeves had to be shortened at the shoulder. The cuffs had beads so it could not be shortened there. Shortening at the shoulder also meant some of the beads fell into the seam and had to be dealt with. They did a fabulous job and it fit perfectly.

Description of Work: Took 3 shirts in. All 3 were shortened and one had sleeves shortened and waist taken in. I was told they would be ready in 10 days and I gave them 12 and when I went to pick them up they were not ready. Picked them up the next day. I thought the cost was a little high.

 + -1 moreThey did a good job and it did work. I thought the price was a bit high for what they did. They were very nice and we were able to get me right in for the alteration. I have no real complaints other than the price.
Description of Work: They altered a prom dress for me. They had to take in the back a little bit. They did it by adding a couple darts.

 + -1 moreI brought the skirt to the owner, and tried it on for her to mark. She promised it in a week, and when I picked it up I asked if I should try it on again. She said that was up to me, but if I tried it on at home and discovered any problem, "bring it back and we will make it right." The skirt fits perfectly and was returned nicely pressed--ready to wear. I've used Georgetown Alterations in the past to replace a jacket zipper. This is the first time I've brought them formal wear. But, I am so pleased with this skirt I will be bringing them more alterations in the future.
Description of Work: Georgetown Alterations took in (reduced one size) a full length polyester skirt, and also repaired the hem that had come loose.
