Design Elements by Valentine LLC

The Valentine Group was remodeling our kitchen and I asked them if they had a recommendation for someone to repair a roof leak. Mr. Charles Neal of the Valentine Group recommended himself, and as he had proved to be an excellent carpenter, I trusted that he knew what he was doing. He completed the roof repair in March and a couple of weeks later, on April 3, a heavy rainstorm indicated the repair did not hold. We had more water coming in than before he did his repair. I let Mr. Neal know about this but he did not respond. I have video of the water streaming into our dining room. The only reason this rating was not an F was that I believe Mr. Neal acted in good faith. He is a very good carpenter but clearly did not know what he was doing on the roof. We eventually had Bone Dry Roofing redo the repair (for actually less money) and it has held through several heavy rains.

The Valentine Group (Laura Valentine & Charles Neal) did a partial remodel of our kitchen, including cabinet restructuring and painting, granite counter, tile backsplash, tile flooring and some electrical work. They also extended the tile flooring through our very large porch. Laura is a talented designer and her father is a very good carpenter. We were pleased with the work they did and would have rated them an A except that they never completed the work in our original contract. We had to find someone else to come in and finish the job. In the end, Ms. Valentine and Mr. Neal became very unpleasant to work with and refused to talk with us. They indicated they had a lot of other projects going.

Laura Valentine and her father did a masterful job in renovating our two primary bathrooms. As a designer, Laura met with us and worked to accomplish what we wanted, with attention to minimizing cost. She and her father performed most of the work - they were meticulous and paid attention to all details. We even had them repair damaged window and siding areas on our house that had caused leaks. We would HIGHLY recommend Design Elements by Valentine.

Very well - helped us deal with a few issues that arose with our exterior siding and windows as work on the bathroom progressed.
