Custom Floors

They were very professional. They let us come up and select the granite. They held the slaps for several minutes so we could get the proper amount of time looking at them, and they held ones that we had selected for several months. They then installed them for us, and were always on time.

Working with the entire staff of Custom Stone was a very pleasant experience. Everyone was so professional yet friendly and very helpful. While deciding on the granite color, I was taken to the back room and shown the various slabs of granite they had on hand and then shown how the granite was cut and finished. After choosing the granite, I was then able to pick out the slabs that I wanted used in my kitchen. After arriving punctually at 8:30 am each day before any work was done, my floors were covered with large cloths. Mario's team was extremely competent, courteous, careful and helpful with both the making of the template and the installation of the granite. It was an outstanding job done by all.

Their prices were very competitive. We chose them because we liked the way they handled things. The installation was done well.

Good at sales and scheduling. Did not measure correctly and had to come back several weeks later to finish install. Wanted to charge us extra for the remaining carpet even though it was their mistake in measuring. When came to install initially, installers were late. Had to come at 6am next day to get the job done in time. Complained that there was too much furniture to move, even though Custom Floors had been out to look at job. Left at end of job without even finding me in house to tell me that they were done. They just took off. Good quality install however.

My husband and I went to their wonderful new showroom and were assisted by a knowledgeable and very helpful young man called Tony Owens. His help was good, the price was competitive, and the work crew was very good. One minor concern: we did not receive a reminder/confirmation phone call a day or two before the installers came out.

Estimate was to be done at 8:30am. Person called and rescheduled to 11:00am. (1 hour late) showed up at 10:00am while dishwasher installer was working in the same area of house. No apologies. Called back to service worker, did not leave estimate, called to remind him that estimate was needed. Workers were to replace wood floor at 8:30 am came at 9:20am, no phone call or apology for being late.

Compared to a variety of different companies, they gave me a little less than the other companies. The tile selection was great and I thought the people that put in the tile knew their stuff. They did their thing, cleaned up, and left- they were good.

Tom Sur must have answered at least 500 questions without ever showing any impatience. He was always prompt in returning our calls. We signed a contract in late August and scheduled the work for September. The craftsmen showed up on time every day and worked diligently on the installation. There were some changes that had to be made during the project. The workmen were very good about informing us of issues and Tom was very accommodating in working with us on the changes and every change was made to our satisfaction. The quality of the workmanship was superb as was the communication between us and Custom Floors.

Excellent work. They came out when scheduled. They were prompt and the job did not take any longer than they told me it would take. I was pleased with their work.

This is the second time I have used Custom Floors (formerly Custom Floors of Carmel). Their workers are skilled and professional. They show up on time and do the work and if any issues come up they just take care of them instead of arguing. Alison is great to work with and all off the suggestions work out great. The company is in a new location because they outgrew their space in Carmel. Custom Floors is truly a professional company.

This is the third time that I have used Custom Floors (twice for carpet, once for tile). All three times, I was very impressed. They were all so professional, and did a wonderful job. Their new showroom in Fishers is incredible (they are no longer in Carmel, but off 116th east of 69). It made it very easy to get to pick out what we wanted in our own home.

THE SELECTION OF TILE WAS OVERWHELMING, BUT ALISON WAS VERY HELPFUL IN POINTING US IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. THE ONLY INCONVENIENT THING THAT HAPPENED WAS WHEN THE FIRST INSTALLER ARRIVED, WE DISCOVERED THE WRONG SIZE OF DECO TILE HAD BEEN DELIVERED (THE ORDER WAS CORRECT!) THIS DELAYED INSTALLATION BY ABOUT A WEEK. THE SECOND INSTALLER DID AN EXCELLENT JOB, CONSIDERING ALL THE CUTTING OF TILE THAT HAD TO BE DONE TO WORK AROUND THE ELECTRICAL OUTLETS IN THE KITCHEN. HE ALSO DID A GOOD JOB IN CLEANING UP.

ALISON WAS HELPFUL AND PROMPT. SHE ADVISED US OF PRODUCTS ON SALE AND WAS VERY RESPONSIVE.

THEY HAVE A BEAUTIFUL SHOWROOM, WITH MORE SAMPLES THAN ANYWHERE ELSE I'VE SEEN. ALLISON (SALES REPRESENTATIVE) WAS VERY HELPFUL IN SUGGESTING CARPETS. PRICES WERE REASONABLE. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT SOME NICKS/MARKS WERE MADE ON OUR NEWLY PAINTED WALLS. OVERALL, GREAT WORK AND I WOULD USE THEIR SERVICES AGAIN.

WORK WAS WELL PERFORMED. WE HAD ONE PROBLEM WITH THE TILING OF THE BACKSPLASH, WHICH WAS QUICKLY CORRECTED TO MY SATISFACTION.

THE SHOWER NOW LOOKS GREAT, BUT THERE WERE SOME HANG-UPS WITH ORDERING THE PRODUCT AND WITH CLEAN-UP.

THEY ARE VERY HELPFUL IN PICKING OUT TILE AND DESIGN.

SALES MANAGER WAS UNRESPONSIVE, UNPROFESSIONAL. HE TOOK 20 MINUTE BREAKS EVERY 5-6 HOURS. THE JOB TOOK 10 HOURS.

OUR CARPET WAS DAMAGED ORIGINALLY BY THE BUILDER WHO WAS TRYING TO GET RID OF A MOLD PROBLEM, CUSTOM FLOORS OF CARMEL CAME OUT TO DO A PATCH JOB WHICH TURNED OUT VERY POOR, WE ASKED THEM TO COME BACK OUT AND THE PERSON WHO LOOKED AT IT AGREED IT WAS A 'POOR PATCH JOB' AND SAID HE WOULD GET AN ESTIMATE FOR US TO HAVE THE CARPET REPLACED. WE DIDN'T HEAR FROM THEM FOR OVER A WEEK, WE CALLED THEM BACK AND WAS TOLD BECAUSE THIS WAS AN ISSUE BETWEEN US AND THE BUILDER THEY REFUSED TO GIVE US A PRICE.

A++ FOR RESPONSIVENESS, THEY KEPT CALLING ME TRYING TO RESCHEDULE. HAVE USED THIS COMPANY SEVERAL TIMES. THEY DO GOOD WORK.

THIS MAN CAME IN AND THERE WAS NO MESS, HE CLEANED UP EVERYTHING BEAUTIFULLY AND JUST DID A SUPERB JOB. I'VE USED COMPANIES IN THE PAST THAT MADE A HORRIBLE MESS AND THAT WAS NOT THE CASE HERE. COST IS REASONABLE.

HAVE USED THEM BEFORE. A FIRST RATE EXPERIENCE WITH A RELIABLE CONTRACTOR WHO DOESNT SPRING SURPRISES ON YOU.

AFTER ALMOST FIVE YEARS THE CARPET RELAXED AND FORMED RIPPLES IN SEVERAL PLACES AROUND THE HOUSE. RICK WORKED VERY EFFICIENTLY BY HIMSELF AND HAS VERY FAIR PRICES. HIS CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS IMPECCABLE.

WE CAN''T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS COMPANY...FROM THE FIRST MEETING WITH TONY WRIGHT TO THE COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT. FIRST CLASS WORK AND SERVICE. WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. WE WERE A BIT CONCERNED ABOUT USING CERAMIC TILE, BUT TONY ASSURED US THAT THE EXCELLENT QUALITY TILE WE HAD CHOSEN WOULD SERVE US WELL. WE SELECTED A FAIRLY EXPENSIVE TILE, AND NOW WE''RE GLAD WE DID. WE DROPPED A PYREX GLASS DISH ON IT, AND IT DIDN''T EVEN BREAK BECAUSE THE TILE HAS SUCH RESILIENCY. A BONUS IS THAT IT ISN''T SLIPPERY AS WE FEARED IT MIGHT BE, AND IT IS VERY EASY ON THE FEET AS WELL. TONY ADVISED US WELL, AND WE LOVE OUR NEW FLOOR!

THEY CAME ON TIME, CLEANED UP, AND WERE POLITE. THE BIG THING WAS THE PUNCTUALITY WAS GREAT!
