They finished the job promptly, explained what they had done, asked if we had any questions, asked if we were OK with the job, cleaned up after themselves presented the bill and left. I will hire Mike again as he was professional and courteous.

 + -1 moreGreat experience from the first call to wrapping up the project. Mike answered the phone promptly, called back when he said he would, made an appt quickly and arrived on time. He explained what he was doing and the cost was as estimated. Faucets work great--just a really good experience.
Description of Work: Replaced two outside faucets. Had to work in a small crawl space and deal with 40+ year old plumbing, an exterior brick house, plus an extremely hot day!

Description of Work: We had a water pipe burst underneath the floor. The first thing he told me was that I should probably have a company do a scan for the leak before utilizing a plumber, as well as a laborer if there was any excavating to be done.

Mike advised us to shut off the water supply to that faucet and scheduled a date to fix the problem around our vacation. His reputation spoke for itself. He was knowledgeable, quick and left us with the feeling that he was fair and honest.

Mike was friendly and offered helpful advice. Even though I didn't use him this time, I would not hesitate to use him in future. Also, one of my neighbors has used him several times and has been happy with his work too.

 + -1 moreMike was very responsive to our phone call. He left a message for us to call back and he called back on a Saturday morning. Another reason we called was to have him fix our shower as we thought it had a leak. Mike was very honest about our problem, asked us a few questions and then told us we did not need a plumber to fix the problem. We then set up a time for him to come to our house to fix the outside faucet. He came when he said he would come and he did a good job fixing the faucet. I would hire him again and I would definitely recommend him.
Description of Work: Mike fixed an outside faucet that froze over the winter.

 + -1 moreMike called me back the same day: In the evening. Leave a message and he will call you back! I told him that I thought it was a leaking toilet. He asked me to check a few things to be sure. He was up-front and told me it that it was likely the toilet, but it could also be a sewer line. Mike told me that no matter what, he would have to remove the toilet to see what was going on. Since we have been planning on remodeling this bathroom, I decided to have him replace the toilet. The labor costs for removing an old one and putting it back on are the same as that for changing out the toilet. Since I know nothing about toilets, I asked Mike if he could pick-up one for us. I didn't want the 'builder grade' that Lowe's and Home Depot have. Besides, I know nothing about toilets. Mike selected a good grade of toilet - and quoted be a price of around $300. The actual toilet was $325 (because of the style and color I chose). Labor was $125. We will definitely call Mike again!

 + 0 moreOther plumbers came, took one look at the job, and promised to send the estimate - but then wouldn't even return our calls! Bush not only called back promptly, they showed up as promised and stayed on the job four days until it was finished. Things were explained to our satisfaction, and the guys were always willing to answer questions. Cleaned up after themselves pretty well. We wouldn't hesitate to call them again.
Description of Work: Replacement of plumbing under the house, requiring excavation of the 100-year-old crawl space. Replacement water heater. 2-3 men x 4 days + new pipes and water heater. Since no other plumber would even give us an estimate, we don't know how their prices compare to others.

 + -1 moreMy husband was home when Mike and his helper were here. Being very handy himself, he is not easily fooled or impressed. Mike explained everything to him and showed him each place a repair was needed. We're delighted with the quality of work and will definitely use Mike again.
Description of Work: The toilet in our upstairs bath had been leaking for three years due to the way the builders originally plumbed it. We temporarily fixed it, but when we had a ceramic floor but in last year, the toilet would not re-seat firmly. We called another plumber from the list, and he seated it firmly using a special fitting. This cost $275. We thought that this had fixed the problem until three weeks ago when the spot on the family room ceiling (a result of the first leak and still an item on my husband's "to do" list) began to look wet again. Upon investigation it became clear that the fix for this was beyond our capabilities. This time we called Mike Bush (on Friday) who came on the following Monday. He assessed the problem as not only the positioning of the toilet, but also as a cracked pipe in the common floor/ceiling. He fixed the cracked pipe and angled it for better drainage as well as re-positioning the toilet so that the the o-ring would seal better. All this for $250!

 + 1 moreMike Bush is a great plumber. Honest and responsive. He got stuck at an earlier job and called to say he would be late. He quickly got to work and finished the job and left no mess. When he came over to survey our plumbing that wasn't up to code anymore, he told us how to do a few minor repairs ourselves. He didn't charge us for the 2 clogged drains. He is very trustworthy. I have recommended him to several people.
Description of Work: Installed new sump pump and battery operated back-up sump pump. Also fixed water softener drain to bring it up to code. Unclogged 2 bathtub drains.

 + -1 moreHe was on time and very polite. I think what he did was okay but it was very expensive for the time worked. I think I would go with the other plumber that I called since he did not charge for the visit. He was only here about fifteen minutes.
Description of Work: Leveled toilet so it did not rock. Tightened kitchen sink faucet. Couldn't permanently fix it but helped it so is is workable.

 + -1 moreThey gave outstanding service. He came by and looked at the problem the same evening that I called. After seeing the problem, we set a time the next day for the work to be done. They were very professional and very nice to work with. I would use him for any work in the future.

While he was working, I had the opportunity to discuss other plumbing concerns of mine, i.e., backup sump pumps, which he explained very thoroughly. I will, most definitively, have Mike back to replace my sump pump, and call him for any other plumbing need that may arise. His knowledge and customer focus are second to none!
