About us

In 1976, Jeff Gatewood hung a handmade sign and began Allisonville Nursery with 15 spruce trees, hand-dug from a Michigan farm. The 3-acre plot across from the family owned airport in Fishers, Indiana was carved out of farmland that had been in the family for nearly 30 years and housed a 20 x 40 foot structure that once held a flower shop run by Jeff's mother. After moving half a mile north in 1985 after too many close calls with small aircraft, Allisonville Nursery now encompasses 5 acres and has expanded into a 7,500 square foot garden store and gift shop. Unprofessional behavior.
Description of Work: As we were driving on Allisonville Rd we saw on their sign that select dogwood trees were on sale through Labor Day. We stopped in as we were looking for a particular variety. We found someone that could show us what they had. First place he looked there were none of that variety. Then he said they had some in back. But as we turned to walk back there, he got right in may face and said that the variety was not on sale - that it was select varieties only. He did this hateful, forceful, and right in my face. Totally unacceptable behavior. No response is needed by Allisonville Nursery because we will NOT be back.

VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE.
