About us

Albert Griffith & Sons is a family owned business founded by Albert Griffith (pictured left) in 1946. We started the company with a focus on installation, finishing, and maintenance of hardwood floors. We have grown to include marketing and sales of all types of materials and maintenance products as well as installation aids for the "Do it Yourselfer". Our Employees are trained professionals, and many are family members from four generations! Unlike our competitors, we do not use sub-contractors. All trucks and equipment you see on the jobsite are company owned.

Description of Work: They refinished about 600 sq ft of existing wood floors, converted and rebuilt a carpeted step (26 feet in total length) into our living room, and replaced the carpet in the living room with 4 inch wide solid oak(3/4 inch thick and about 300 sq ft in area). | |The entire process was done in 4.5 days. They removed and replaced all of our furniture. The job was done as expected. They were very professional and the floors are beautiful. | |I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Griffith completely refinished our kitchen/pantry area last summer. We were satisfied and asked them to return to do an additional re-coat of polyurethane to maintain the original work. There was a problem with the poly urethane not cleaning up as well as it had previously done. Followup with the company left more headscratching and no real solution. But they left a product for cleaning polyurethane hardwoods that is more effective than the standard cleaning recommendations we had used at their previous suggestions.
