The entire job took 6 days. On the first day, they said they would arrive around 11:00 however, they showed up at 1:00. I thought "oh no, this is going to be a nightmare" and stated that to the company. I was wrong! Their earlier job was longer than expected and this is understandable. Those guys worked so fast and efficient that I could not keep up. They were on time for the entire project and the quality of work was tremendous. I am refinishing my entire upstairs soon and will not call anyone else but Griffith.

It was a huge job with many decisions to make and we felt that the results were well worth the investment.

Denny showed up on time, was courteous and kind. He gave lots of practical advise and noticed problems with the floor that I had not. He was happy to answer questions. Ultimately they the cost of the project was a little too high and I chose another company.

I paid way too much, but I didn't know. A fair price per square foot is $3, then $150-$200 for the repair. A high estimate for the work performed should have been $900! I feel like this company was very high, and I have since had other estimates for much less to finish another room and hallway.

Everything was gorgeous, they were on time, everything was wonderful. When they were putting down the polyurethane there was some debris under a coat. They sanded it down and replaced the polyurethane.

They did an excellent job with a minimal amount of dust. The process lasted 3 days and the floors look great.

They use a new system that gets rid of the dust. It works great. I had virtually no dust in my house. They did a good job and though I don't remember the exact price, I know that it was competitive compared to other estimates.

Estimate was $300 and $400 higher than other two 'A' rated Angie's List companies.

THE WORK DONE BY GRIFFITH WAS SUPERB. THE CREW WAS EFFICIENT WITH THEIR TIME, AND RESULTS AFTER REPAIR AND REFINISH ARE GREAT.

We have used Albert Griffith for all of our flooring needs since 1972 when they installed the initial flooring, and you will not find a more professional, more courteous and more competent company to do such work. Their workers are respectful of your house, perform the work with skill and arrive on time, and there is no wasted time in the work being accomplished. Denny and Jeff Griffith are easy to deal with, fix anything you determine needs refinishing (they came back three times just to be sure we were satisfied), and move the furniture around carefully so as not to damage any items in the house. I would highly recommend this company for anyone needing flooring needs. There are large wharehouse companies selling flooring, and they have designated installers but do you know what kind of quality you are getting for your money. With Griffith Flooring, the consumer will not to worry about some installer operating out the back of his truck and quite possibly seen again.

We had a pleasant experience with Tom, one of the sales representatives at Griffith and Sons. Problems arose with scheduling; at times it was difficult to connect with anyone. When they stained the main level of the house, they managed to get a lot of stain on our original white shoe molding. Their quality of work is good, but there were some inconsistencies like swirl marks in the stain or gaps where the stain didn't quite meet up with the kitchen cabinets. When they came back to repair the floor in the kitchen, they sanded and stained it and then applied the wrong finish. They had to come back, hand sand the repair and apply the right satin finish- at no additional charge to us. The installation in the master bedroom only took one day and it looks very nice. The color of the stain on the main level was customized to our liking and it turned out to be perfect for us.

HE WAS VERY NICE AND HIS OFFICE WAS RESPONSIVE, IT JUST DIDN'T WORK OUT. I HAVE A GRAND PIANO THAT WOULD NEED TO BE MOVED AND HE WASN'T ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE.

WHILE THE INSTALLATION WENT WELL, WITHIN A FEW WEEKS THE FLOOR BOARDS BUCKLED. OVER A 5-MONTH PERIOD, A COMPANY REP INSPECTED THE FLOORING AND CRAWL SPACE UNDERNEATH, FOUND MOISTURE READINGS TO BE WITHIN ACCEPTED LEVELS, BUT NOTED THAT THE BUCKLING WAS QUITE SEVERE. HE SUGGESTED WE WAIT A YEAR TO SEE IF THE FLOOR FLATTENS OUT ON ITS OWN. THE FLOOR IS STILL BUCKLED, AND AGAIN THE READINGS ARE NORMAL. NOW, THE REP DECIDED THAT WE SHOULD HAVE HAD A MOISTURE BARRIER ON THE CRAWL SPACE FLOOR TO BEGIN WITH, EVEN THOUGH IT'S DRY. THEY NEVER MENTIONED THIS "DETAIL" WHEN THEY FIRST INSPECTED THE SPACE OR WHEN THEY INSTALLED THE FLOOR, OR THE TIMES THEY INSPECTED AFTERWARDS. NOW, SUDDENLY, THE PROBLEM IS MY FAULT. I WOULD HAVE INSTALLED CRAWL SPACE POLYURETHANE HAD THEY EVER SAID THIS WAS REQUIRED. THEY BLEW IT AT THE BEGINNING, PUT ME OFF FOR OVER A YEAR AND NOW, THEY'RE CALLING IT AN ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE THAT'S NOT THEIR PROBLEM. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

THIS WAS A VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE AND THE FLOORS LOOK WONDERFUL. WE HAD WORKERS OUT ON 3 DAYS AND THEY WERE ON TIME ALL 3 DAYS, AND WORKED VERY QUICKLY. GUESTS CAN'T BELIEVE THEY ARE THE SAME FLOORS. I EXPECTED A GREAT DEAL OF MESS LEFT EVEN THOUGH WE PURCHASED THE DUST-FREE OPTION, BUT THE CLEAN UP WAS NOT THAT BAD AT ALL.

A GOOD OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH NO COMPLAINTS.

THEY COMPLETED THE WORK. I PAID THE GENTLEMAN WHO FINISHED THE WORK ON MONDAY, OCT. 4. THREE DAYS LATER I RECEIVED AN INVOICE FOR $434 INDICATING I STILL OWE $434. I HAVE CALLED THE COMPANY AND LEFT A MESSAGE REGARDING THE INVOICE. THEY GOT THE MESSAGE AND CALLED ME BRIGHT AND EARLY. THE FLOORS ARE BEAUTIFUL AND EVERYTHING IS O.K.

I HAVE USED THEM TWICE. BECAUSE THEY ARE FAMILY OWNED, THERE WAS A HIGH LEVEL OF TRUST AND CONFIDENCE. I SPOKE DIRECTLY TO BOTH THE BROTHERS THAT OWN THE COMPANY. THEIR LEVEL OF RESPONSIVENESS AND FOLLOW THROUGH WITH WHAT THEY PROMISED WAS WONDERFUL.

THIS WAS THE SECOND JOB GRIFFITH and SONS HAS DONE FOR ME. BOTH TIMES I'VE BEEN EXTREMELY SATISFIED WITH THEIR WORK. ED AND BEN DID A GREAT JOB ON THE INSTALLATION.

THEY DID AN A-RATED JOB. EVERYTHING WAS DONE ACCORDING TO EXPECTATIONS.

THE COMPANY WAS A DELIGHT TO WORK WITH. FROM THE VERY FIRST CALL, CINDY IN THE OFFICE WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HELPFUL. SHE ANSWERED OUR IMMEDIATE QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE PROCESS AND OPTIONS (SUCH AS DUST FREE). MIKE, I BELIEVE ESTIMATED THE JOB AND AGAIN WAS PROMPT AND WILLING TO ANSWER OUR QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS. HE WAS FORTHRIGHT ABOUT WHAT COULD AND COULD NOT BE DONE AND EXPLAINED EXACTLY WHAT TO EXPECT IN TERMS OF THE FINISHED WORK AND INCONVENIENCE WHILE IT PROGRESSED. THE TWO YOUNG MEN, (BRAD AND CHAD)THAT ACTUALLY DID THE REFINISHING, SHOWED UP ON TIME, COOPERATED WITH MY HUSBAND BY ANSWERING HIS QUESTIONS, LETTING HIM CALL ME AT WORK TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS, AND POSED AS HE TOOK BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOGRAPHS. THEY WENT THE EXTRA MILE TO WORK WITH ME ON THE TRANSITION THRESHOLD AND EXPLAIN THE CARE AND UPKEEP OF OUR NEW FLOOR IN THE FIRST WEEK AND BEYOND. THEY QUOTED THE JOB AT THREE DAYS AND IT TOOK EXACTLY THAT. WE STAYED OUT TWO NIGHTS WHILE THE FINISH WAS BEING APPLIED.

IT TOOK MANY PHONE CALLS OVER A THREE WEEK PERIOD TO RECEIVE THE ESTIMATE AFTER THE ESTIMATOR HAD CAME OUT TO LOOK AT THE WORK. TOTALLY UNRESPONSIVE, DID NOT KEEP THEIR WORD AS TO WHEN I'D HEAR BACK FROM THEM. I FINALLY HAD TO DEMAND THE OWNER RESPOND TO GET AN ESTIMATE AND THE ESTIMATE WAS MORE THAN $4,000, MORE THAN THE OTHER TWO ESTIMATES I HAD GOTTEN. VERY POOR EXPERIENCE AND FINAL ESTIMATE WAS VERY HIGH. ON THE GOOD SIDE, THE ESTIMATOR SEEMED TO KNOW HIS WORK WELL AND OFFICE PERSONNEL WERE FRIENDLY, ALTHOUGH UNABLE TO RESOLVE LACK OF ESTIMATE. DID NOT HIRE! WOULD NOT HIRE!

GREAT JOB, THERE WERE A FEW MINOR OVERSIGHTS, BUT THEY RESPONDED THE NEXT DAY AND CORRECTED THEM. THE FLOOR'S BETTER THAN IT WAS BEFORE!

I TOLD MR. GRIFFITH ABOUT A CERTAIN BRAND OF HARDWOOD FLOOR I WAS LOOKING FOR. HE SAID THEY DIDN'T CARRY IT ANYMORE, BUT HE WAS ABLE TO FIND ANOTHER SUPPLIER THAT DID, SO I GOT THE FLOOR I WANTED.

THE JOB THAT WAS DONE WAS BEAUTIFUL. EXCELLENT WORK.

INITIALLY I CALLED BACK AFTER JOB WAS DONE BECAUSE OF LACK OF DURABILITY and SHINE. THEY CAME BACK AND REDID THE JOB. THE RESULTS WERE GORGEOUS. MR GRIFFITH WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL.
