We opted for a brand new CPU instead for around $500. Ben looked around and recommended a unit at Best Buy that was compatible with the rest of our system. Ben then transferred our data from the old CPU to the new one. He did a nice job. I felt like he went above and beyond.

Description of Work: Replaced the Power Adapter ports on two Dell laptops. These guys were the only outfit that I could find that would repair the computers (as opposed to just ordering new Motherboards).

+ -1 moreVery good. Met Ben on Friday, explained the issue, and gave him the laptop. He said he could have it back by Monday and gave me a quote of $125. I called back on Monday, he had the work completed and tested, said that we did not need a new jack and did not charge us for one (he did give me the option of getting a new jack installed if I wanted to). Since he didn't need a new part, I ended up paying $85 (with coupon) instead of the quoted $125. The same work quoted by another company was $225 and a minimum of 2 weeks. I would use this company again in an instant.
Description of Work: The DC jack of our laptop was coming apart from the circuit board. They resoldered the jack and tested it to make sure it was working correctly. It works perfectly fine now.

+ -1 moreCalled and spoke to Ben. He let me bring it in right away. He called shortly after to let me know that it seemed to be ok but I needed a new power source as mine was a fire hazard. My husband came in and Ben showed him how to replace it. Ben is a trustworthy individual that only charges you for what you need and is honest about what you don't. I will be using him for all of my computer needs from here on out. I will also have him service all of my family's systems as well.
Description of Work: Computer wasn't booting.

Description of Work: My home PC was scanned for viruses, unnecessary files removed, installation of up-to-date virus software. I was advised to get more memory and a new external drive to back up data.
