Shetler Moving & Storage Inc

During the first 45 minutes one of the movers had 2 cigarettes and put them out by my door steps and was smoking where we were loading the truck. I had to push them to get going. They was here 5 hours and put in about 3 hours of work.

It was not a good experience. They were not terribly attentive to what they were doing. We are missing pieces of our organ. They lost some of the pieces of the organ. They have not been terribly responsive to getting it fixed. Their packing was quite good for breakables but less so with the general moving of things. They didn't seem to be that careful. We are not terribly enthusiastic about the service. They didn't seem to be terribly thorough. The pricing was competitive. They were responsive before but less so after the move. They came right when they were supposed to. It was a frustration for my wife because she plays the organ. The guys that were doing the move were pretty free to talk about the tips they had received on past moves from their clients. We didn't know that we were supposed to tip but after hearing the conversation we decided that we should tip. We don't think we got much for our tip.

They did a very good job. Their people were outstanding. They price was also reasonable. They kept to their estimate, and the driver was very professional and pleasant.

Estimator/salesperson was professional and thorough. Crew arrived within approximate range of time expected each day. Estimator quoted a two large truck move but the crew brought one large and one smaller truck initially. This was not a problem, however, as when the crew arrived it was quickly apparent that they would need the two large trucks as quoted, so the crew leader called the office and ordered another large truck. They picked up this truck over lunch and were gone an hour longer than stated in getting the second truck, but Shetler did not charge for this time. The crew was hard-working, efficient and polite. We have a lot of large, heavy furniture, and they worked tirelessly and carefully to load the trucks. We requested them to lay our foam matress horizontal as manufacturer recommended when they packed the second truck, and though it was not easy, they packed the truck aournd this mattress as per this request. Our move was a very positive experience on a 20-degree day. The crew we got from Shetler made a dreadful job a pleasant one. My wife and I would recommend Shetler to friends and would use them again if had to do it all over again.

Shetler scratched some paint off several walls and scratched some of the wood flooring in one of our rooms. They were not very professional, I would not recommend them.

Since it was a corporate move, I am not sure about their pricing. I think they were very reasonable. I had received two bids and theirs was lower. They were fine. The guys were great. There were no scratches on the furniture. I will be using them again shortly.

They arrived on time, actually a few minutes early and set right to work. They were careful with all of the furniture and carefully wrapped and packed my antique secretary. They broke the computer desk, but it was old and weak and probably too big for just two guys. I'm not sure how experienced the two of them were, they spent a lot of time discussing how to do things.

bad customer service

I have moved many times so I know what a bad mover is and a good mover is. They were excellent. They were on time and did the work on time. There was snow and it was icy at that time. It was a bad weather and yet they pulled out without a hitch. They gave me very good service and the people were very good. They couldn?t have been better. They had sent me a post card when out house was up for sale and asked us to give them a try. We were impressed with the representative who came out to talk to us and the movers were fantastic. It was a miserable week and they did a favor by doing a good job.
