Christian Construction The name of this company could not be further from the truth. My experience with them has not been Christian like. I purchased a swimming pool from them on June 17, 2019 and included a large down payment $15,000. The total cost was over $40,000. The project dragged on for 3 months before it finally got completed. Weeks would go by with no one showing up and when they did come it was rare that they would have the same worker. As it turned out they were hiring day labors which now in hindsight I am wondering. If they would have gotten injured could I have been held responsible. I would guess that these workers did not have workmen's comp insurance. When the fiberglass pool finally arrived (July 31,2019) and got lowered in the hole another $8,000 payment was due. I wrote a check and handed it to the owner who promptly informed me that he did not want a check and wanted it in CASH. I wonder why this was? I went to the bank got the cash had him sign that I had paid him $8,000 in CASH. So the pool finally gets finished. It is now September. I pay him the balance after some miss calculations and adjustments on the amount of concrete work performed (I was being overcharged, I'm sure this was by accident though.) So now, because its September we use the pool for a couple of weeks and then close it for the winter. We open the pool first week of June now 2020 after a couple of months we notice the pool pump cuts off intermittently and then comes back on (its overheating). We have a faulty pump. I call Christian Construction and he promptly tells me he'll send someone over to look at it. Two days latter he calls me back and tells me I need to get an electrician to check the voltage and the amps that the motor is drawing. So I pay an electrician to come over and check ....... the electric is fine. The electrician tells me the motor is faulty. Mind you this pump has been used at most 2.5 months. So armed with this information I again contact Christian Construction. Now its a completely different attitude, he accuses me of trying to get a free pump and he is not going to warrant a pump and I should contact Hayward (the pump mfg) directly even though there literature specifically states that I need to contact the dealer I purchased it from. He then tells me "there is nothing you can do to hurt me and I don't care what you do and not to contact him again". So this is my experience with Christian Construction.

This man is a horrible concrete pourer. He hired me to do all his work and then he went to pour and I've been in concrete 6 years and his finished product was horrible and looked like crap. His average length of keeping an employee due to his bad temper is one week and he hires from Craigslist weekly to suck pour saps who need work into his c********** of crap and then he runs people off with his bad temper and verbal abuse and threatening stance. He actually makes his workers work without drinks by getting mad and kicking over their drinks. I should sue, but I don't even know where to begin. This guy is getting jobs through Craigslist and online and I doubt he's even got his business license. The Indiana Secretary of State doesn't even have his business listed as a legal entity! None of his workers are qualified. Just a horrible "company"; if you can even call it that.
Description of Work: These people are complete psychos! Tom Christian claims to be a Christian and runs a company called, "Christian Construction Company." This man hires people for a week and then when the job is done, runs you off by cussing you out, calling you stupid, and making you work in harsh environment (He kicked my only drink over after cussing me out and calling me f'n stupid and I was jack-hammering and removing 4 tons of concrete for him that day in the heat without my drink for the rest of the day.) The day I quit because he was calling me f'n stupid and cussing me out, and in the final straw, I demanded my final earnings. He said I would have to wait til payday. Payday was last Friday, 2 days ago. I have been contacting him all weekend to tell him to mail my check to me as I live in Illinois and drive almost 2 hours to work every day, and he wants me to come in to sign my timesheet. What jerks!!! Don't work for these people!! They have a terrible reputation amongst the construction worker community, and are completely Anti-Christian if anything at all. Get this, in Phoenix, AZ, I can't believe that they actually let this man preach Christianity on a radio talkshow at 8 a.m. in the morning... What a joke!!!
