Description of Work: Provided a quote for 625 dollars to replace a water heater element. I did not realize these were the same people that tried to tell me my toilet was broken and it would cost 800 to fix....that I then fixed in ten minutes. I can't imagine how many people that don't know better take their quotes and say ok. Complete and total rip off. I replaced the element myself for 20 dollars and about an hour and that included my time to drive to lowes and buy the parts. 625 bucks to replace the elements in a water heater that costs 500 new. Completely and totally dishonest is all I can come up with. They must find just enough people that let them do the work for completely ripoff prices to stay in business. DO NOT USE unless you LOVE to be RIPPED off.

Description of Work: They installed a new dishwasher, fixing an old jerry-rigged hook-up. They came by, gave me the estimate, and had everything in the truck to get the job done. They were fast, clean, and very professional.

Description of Work: Put in a clean out to the main sewer. They destroyed my side walk and now water gets in my basement. When they filled in the dirt to " rough" grade the first rain we had it collapsed and rain gushed in through my walls in the basement. I had to get two truckloads of dirt to fill it back in. They hit one of my main piller supports and left a one inch gap at my porch foundation. They tore up my wood planters. They did all that to put in a cleanout so my main sewer line wouldn't stop up. Now here a year and a half later my main sewer line is clogged. I had them come out to fix it again and they wanted to charge me 355 dollars for a cleanout. I talked to Mark and he pretty much told me that cleanouts wasn't covered. So I rented a machine from Home Depot for 64 dollars and did it myself.

Description of Work: We experienced a main sewer line break which resulted in excavation of most of our front yard. The trench was 10-15 feet deep. Bud's completed the job in one day. My husband had his own industrial snake machine, which Bud's used instead of hauling theirs downstairs to our basement. In the process, they broke it and were supposed to order a part to fix it. This was never done, and honestly, we forgot about it. Three months after they tore up our yard we again started having the sewer back up in our basement floor. We called Bud's, who came and snaked it out and then wanted to charge us another $300. We did not feel like we should have to pay again since they had just been here 3 months previous. After a lot of arguing, we refused to pay. They did not repair my husband's snake from the first time they were here. Bud's warns you emphatically that they do not repair your yard. You will be left with a huge mound of dirt. They tell you to "water, water, water" and it will go down. Fixing the yard is a monumental task. Be sure to keep that in mind when you look for this type of repair work and try to get that included. They already have a backhoe at your house, so why can't they take another 15 minutes to level the dirt. We will not use Bud's again.

Description of Work: Our first time was to replace our bathroom plumbing. Mark Heck brought an assistant and did a great job. Then, we needed a flex hose on our gas service. Mark came out and fixed that. Then, on MLK Day, we had a leak from another part of our bathroom plumbing. I called and within 1 hr, here comes Mark, fixed the issue and was gone! Boy, when you're having an emergency, it's nice to know that you can call people who really care. The lady who answered the phone (yes, a real live person), asked me if this was an emergency. I said "We're emptying our 2 gal. pan every 5 minutes." She said she would call Mark and get him out ASAP. If you need a good old-fashioned plumber, call 812/423-5851. Tell them David sent you.
