 + 0 moreMr. Schroeder came to estimate the job, spent about 90 minutes looking at what we needed and made helpful suggestions leading to our final design. He was very professional (serious) in his demeanor. He supplied his estimate in two weeks, answered our questions, and made changes we requested. We told him we'd like the project to start after Labor Day. After we had an agreement, he began the demolishing on Sept. 8th. The project was finished Oct. 6th, a few days beyond the original estimate but well within our expectation. During the project, Mr. Schroeder oversaw the work of a drywall man, a tile man, and a plumber, as well as his own construction workers. He was mindful of our schedule, and he and his workers were generally mindful of the dirt arising from their work. Mr. Schroeder kept us in the loop as to details so we could have input. He was responsive to our wishes. We are very happy with the outcome. The bath room is very nice looking, i.e., pretty though not fancy. The workmanship seems to be high quality, and we feel the project was less disruptive than we expected. We have a smaller bath that we may remodel in the future. We certainly will ask Mr. Schroeder to give us an estimate if/when we do.
Description of Work: Mr. Schroeder (or his workers) demolished 1970's bathroom (tiled walls and floor, built-in vanity, etc). He installed drywall, floor underlayment, tile flooring with tile baseboard, tile shower over existing bath tub, new vanity and top, new plumbing and fixtures (toilet, shower fixtures, sink and faucet), and painted all drywall. He installed new door casing and painted door and trim. He installed a roof vent for the exhaust fan. He installed hotel-type shower curtain rod, large mirror over vanity, vanity hardware and light fixture over vanity. He installed a safety grab bar in the shower, four towel bars, a heat/AC diffuser, and a recessed toilet tissue holder. He sealed, caulked, or grouted all joints. He installed GFI receptacles and new light switches and plate. Lastly, he installed a back of door mirror. We supplied the all fixtures, tile, vanity and top, mirrors, etc. He supplied basic construction materials, labor, and expertise.

 + 3 moreIt went great. He gave a detailed estimate for free, showed up on time, and was there until the job was finished. Cleaned up after himself well, and the quality of the work was very good.
Description of Work: Demolished partition drywall old shower stall and double sink. Removed tile floor, built new double sized shower stall with clear block walls and laid travertine stone. Laid new tile floor, installed new sink, and skylight. Entire bathroom drywalled.
