Shetler Moving and Storage of Evansville, IN was recommended to us by a friend, and we were not disappointed! They were not the lowest price, but the slightly higher price was well worth it. They showed up on time every day and were always professional. None of our stuff sustained any significant damage, and nothing was stolen. They packed quickly and efficiently the first day. The second day they had the truck loaded by 5 PM. The truck showed up at our new house at 7:00 AM on the day they promised. We were happy with the service overall.
Description of Work: Pack and move our household from Cleveland, OH to Evansville, IN.

Bottomline - it became the move from h***. A Finkbiner representative came to our house and estimated our total weight at a little over 22,000 lbs. He estimated two days to pack and one day to load. The first day packers were terrible - rude and lazy. The second day of packing Finkbiner's sent another packing crew who were much better, but because the first day packing crew had made such little progress, the second day crew couldn't get all of the packing finished the second day. On loading day, they still had people packing while others were taking inventory and starting the loading process. We did not know at that time that the truck they brought to load our HHGs on already had another customer's HHGs loaded on it so they knew that they weren't going to get all of our HHGs on the truck. It wasn't until almost 7:00 p.m. on Friday night when the driver informed us that they couldn't get anymore on the truck that we became aware that our HHGs would be in two shipments. No one could tell us anything about the second shipment. Problem was the items in the second/"overflow" shipments consisted primarily of our daily living HHGs. They returned on Saturday to load the rest of our HHGs on a small truck and take it to their warehouse. On Monday we physically went to Finkbiner's office to talk to management about our concerns regarding the delivery of our HHGs. The co-owner of Finkbiner's sat there and told us to our faces that both shipments would be delivered by the date specified in the contract. As it turned out, we believe she purposely misled us concerning delivery of the second shipment. While the first load was delivered on May 7th, the second/"overflow" shipment was not delivered until May 22nd which was the fourth delivery timeframe we'd been given. To find out the status of our "overflow" shipments, I had to initiate every call to Finkbiners - not once did they call us to tell us what was going on. Finkbiner's created our "overflow" situation/shipment, yet we suffered the consequences for over two weeks. They could have cared less that we were living without any furniture to sit on, no table tops to eat off of, and about half of our kitchenware. We're convinced that the only way we finally got our "overflow" shipment when we did was because we got rather ugly with them, threatened to consult a lawyer and called Atlas HQ. We have moved numerous times during our years associated with the military to include overseas moves and this was the worst moving company we have ever encountered.
Description of Work: We had a contract with Finkbiner Transfer and Storage of Springfield, MO to pack and move our HHGs from Nixa, MO to Sunset Beach, NC. Finkbiner's is an Atlas agent. Per the contract our HHGs were to be delivered to Sunset Beach NLT May 8, 2013.
