Atlas Van Lines

This was the worst moving experience I've ever had. They did get our stuff (most of it) from point A to point B. However, we had missing and damaged things that were not reimbursed. They didn't reimburse us for any missing items because they said there was nothing missing according to their inventory list. The problem with this was that they didn't check the inventory list with us when they were loading, and they didn't check it with us when they unloaded. I've used other moving companies, and they have ALWAYS checked the inventory very carefully with me. I wasn't comfortable with it at the time, but since they were moving the items directly with no change of truck or warehousing, I hoped it would be okay. The other problem was that we were moving two households. One household was delivered to our garage, and then moved again a couple of weeks later by a local mover. Atlas refused to be responsible for any of the missing and damaged items from this household because it was subsequently moved again--even though they had recommended that we do this. Of course, again, if we had known this in advance, the inventory list would have been checked on both ends--very carefully. Their actual moving crew is very good, nice, personable and hard working. Their office staff and customer service is terrible. No communication, and once they have the money, they don't care. I would never use them again.

It went well. The driver and helpers were wonderful. They were very meticulous and friendly. The people that pack your house ride with the driver which was great. The coordinator was not very good. She changed the estimate several times and did not get back to us. There was no follow through. It was not very professional. She deserved a C. Use the "Do not exceed" price.

I must say that this move was completely problem free from start to finish. The move was from Ohio to Washington State. Exactly one year earlier we had moved from Oregon to Ohio and that move was a nightmare. I won't say who that mover was but it was not Atlas. I have learned that it saves money and headaches to go with a well known and reputable moving company. Approximately one month before the move Mr.Tim Bailey representing Atlas came to my apartment, estimated the weight of my household goods, and gave a ''not to exceedand quot; price. Since I had moved only a year earlier, I knew his estimate was about 600 pounds high and told him so. His answer was that I would only be charged for the actual weight, and since the price was very reasonable even at his weight estimate, I signed a contract. Then there was about a month wait until the actual load out date and I was very concerned about when the problems would start. However, on load out day at exactly the stated time, Randy and Jim showed up to load me out. Everything done that morning was done in a highly professional and efficient manner. Then, two or three weeks later my household goods arrive in Washington and were unloaded in the same professional manner in which they were loaded. The original contract called for moving 2700 pounds at a cost of $2300. As I had predicted, the load only weighed 2100 pounds and they only charged me $1900. As I said at the beginning of this review, the move came off with absolutely no problems. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Atlas to anyone.

Service went as well as you could ever expect. Movers were professional and thorough and we were very happy with the service provided. I cannot give any prices as all fees were covered by my employer.

Our experience was great! They were very professional and easy to work with. Moving can be a big stress, and they did everything we asked. All of our possessions were unharmed upon completion. we are satisfied customers!
