"King's Mitagators responded quickly to my request, which was greatly appreciated. Sam came out to inspect and quote the job and he could not have been easier to work with during this process. He fully explained the contract specifics and was able to schedule the job within a reasonable timeframe. He kept in contact through out the process and was responsive when I had questions. Chris arrived on time to repair the water damage and prep for painting. The job required work over 3 days. Chris was a pleasure to work with. Such a skilled professional and personally just the nicest person ever. He had two properties to handle and was extremely accommodating in scheduling between the jobs. I would highly recommend King's Mitagators for any level of work you may need. They will always be my first call going forward for future work. Thanks Sam & Chris! It was a pleasure to work with you both."

We are a roofing and remodeling company. We do bathroom remodel, kitchen remodel, flooring (tile, ceramic, vinyl, laminate, wood), room additions, drywall, roofing, siding and painting. We have been in this business for 15 years. We have a reliable and dedicated crew who will put your needs first.

"Josh used the wrong connector in both our showers. He replaced one of them and the leaking has stopped. However he refused to replace the one in our main bathroom. The leak was in the wall and we did not see it until it had warped our brand new laminate floor that we had installed. He cussed out my husband, told me there was nothing I could do about his NOT repairing his work and refused to even replace the leaking part. My husband had to seek help to get the leak stopped and now we will have to pay someone to come in and repair the damage he caused. He claimed it was a faulty part but the plumber said he used the wrong kind of connection for the copper pipes we had and that it would always leak. Now we are worried that the shower he supposedly fixed will also leak. We also hired him to do a job for us in Illinois which he was paid in advance for and refuses to complete. He wanted to bring his entire family to the job site and camp out. When we told him we had heavy equipment out there operating and he could not bring his kids, he refused to finish the job. He told me that he talked to his attorney and that there is nothing I can do about his shoddy work or his refusal to complete the jobs or his refusal to fix the damage he caused. He showed up late and left early many days and caused the job to take much longer then it should have. He put a whole in our drywall and fixed the drywall but had to repaint the bedroom to match the color. He did not remove the wall paper at the top of the wall to do the paint job correctly and he painted about a three inch stripe of white on the ceiling on one side that sticks out like a sore thumb because he did not repaint the rest of the ceiling. He put in an outlet for me but the whole is too big and the outlet cover does not cover all of it. He did not put the trim up in the shower along the floor and there is a gap. He did not use the correct caulk around the tub and never came back to replace it. On the house in Illinois he put down the floor but did not mark or cut out the vents in the floor. The gap he left next to the wall is too wide and can't be covered by the trim. We have to pay someone to fix the gap and we have to pay another person to do the floors in both bathrooms that he was already paid to tile. The shower he put in our one bathroom does not drain properly. The drain is not the lowest place in the floor and I have to manually make sure the water drains. The shelf he put in my shower is too long and sticks out past where the shower curtain goes so I have to cut and tape the shower curtain around the shelf to keep from getting water all over the floor every time I take a shower. He was very friendly at first but very belligerent and cussed us out when he was asked to complete his work and/or repair the damage he caused. He brought his wife to the jobsite and she tried to start a fight with me. I do not want to fight. I do not even want him to ever come back into my home. I do think he needs to pay us the money he cost us and the money he was paid for work he did not do. I also do not want to see him do this to anyone else."

Modular and Mobile Home Remodel questions, answered by experts

The best place to put your home theater is a space that does not get outside light, such as a basement. Another consideration is the proximity to bedrooms or offices that may be disturbed by the surround sound playing at high volume. A higher ceiling works best for mounting a projector, so consider space and sound limitations. For help determining the best place for your home theater, consider hiring a professional home theater installer who can provide recommendations and project plans.

A simple cosmetic flip with minor repairs can take as little as a few weeks, while more extensive projects that involve structural changes or permit requirements can take several months. The time it takes to renovate a house ranges between three and six months, depending on factors like the extent of renovations, financing, and market conditions.

Minor modifications like grab bars and threshold ramps can be DIY, but professional services ensure compliance with ADA standards and structural safety.

Raising a sunken living room requires help from a professional contractor. The expert will remove existing flooring and trim, reroute utility lines with respect to the new floor level, pour concrete to fill the recessed space, and then let the concrete cure. After the foundation is raised up, the contractor will install the new utility lines, repaint the walls, if necessary, and finish the area with flooring and trim.

Yes, you can install a bay window in an existing house. You’ll need to have a structural engineer draw up plans to add the necessary support to your exterior load-bearing walls and a general contractor to make the changes to the framing around the new wall opening. This will cost an average of $3,000. After that work is done, a window installer can set the new bay window in place.
