I highly recommend this company for roofing and siding

They were very professional but they are also realistic and down to earth. They don't try to build a lot of heights like they are doing the job and we need to know what we're telling you. They are extremely prompt. They came out here 3 times and each time they were here when they said they would be coming.

After some time of having water running down from underneath the siding (even though my house has overhangs), I decided to have the roof inspected. I was referred to Moore's through an acquaintance and was able to get in touch with them fairly quickly. The owner (Ben Moore) came out within a few days to provide a quote, which he left inside my front door since I was at work. He also left a brochure on the type of shingles and underlayment system he would use (Certainteed brand). The price was much more reasonable than I had expected based on what I always heard about roofing costs. Ben said my roof was in and quot;bad shapeand quot; and gave me two options--an overlay of the existing shingles, and a complete tear off. The overlay was about $900 dollars less, but I thought there were some water issues underneath the existing shingles that needed to be addressed so that was not an option I considered. Though the price was reasonable, I wanted to get another quote for comparison. I used Unique Siding and Construction because they are local and have great reviews on Angie's List, whereas there were no reviews for Moore's Roofing and Siding. and quot;Uniqueand quot; actually thought that my guttering was the main issue, not the roof, but since I wanted to replace the roof anyway and address any possible water damage, they quoted me for both projects separately. They came in $800 higher for the roof even after a 10% coupon available through Angie's List at the time. Since I'm getting married in Dec. 2011, it really came down to cost for me, but I was confident Moore's would do a good job. They were running about 2 weeks out for scheduling, but due to a change for another customer of theirs, they were able to do it a week ahead of time. Ben Moore called on a Sunday to let me know, and he was already on his way with the dump truck so everything was ready to go the next morning! The crew of about 6 arrived by 8:00 am, but due to lingering rain, couldn't start for awhile so they just waited patiently in their trucks. As soon as it was possible, they were all up on the roof ripping it off. By 3:00 pm that day, they had everything off, the damaged decking replaced, and the winterguard system applied; as well as some of the 30# felt. They made sure the entire roof was tarp covered in case it rained again before they returned. The next day, they again arrived before 8:00 am, waited for enough daylight, then started the shingling process. I got home about 2:00 pm so I could be there when they finished, which they did about 3:15 pm...they worked very fast. The finished product looks great overall and I'm very pleased with it thus far! My only real complaint is that even though they cleaned up well, I still found 2-3 dozen nails in the gutters, as well as some in the yard that got missed by the magnet they use. I also found several cigarette butts in the gutters and a few around the house...as a non-smoker this irritated me somewhat. ***It should be noted that this was my first time hiring a contractor to do anything, so maybe the clean-up was much better than some others, I just can't say for sure*** Ben Moore, the owner, was on site the majority of each day to supervise, which is less than you can say for many companies, I assume. He also answered every question I had (there were many!) and encouraged me to call him if ANYTHING goes wrong with the roof whatsoever, and that he'd take care of it. All in all, a very good experience at a reasonable price! *****I didn't rate the quality because the job was just completed, so I want to wait on a good rain to make sure that there are NO remaining water issues, at which point I will apply a quality rating*****
