We had a prior contractor that had created a mold problem in the crawl space, which required us to coordinate the work of multiple contractors, including momper, to fix . Momper worked in coordination with the other contractors, removing all the old insulation, vapor barrier, and so forth, and then returning after other work was done to complete the job reinsulating the crawl space and replacing the vapor barrier. They had many helpful and practical suggestions with respect to the work being performed. Despite the messiness of their work, our house remained clean, and their work product was really good. The crawl space is very well insulated and appears to be isolated from the outdoors. The humidity level using a dehumidifier (at Momper's recommendation) is now under control. I wish we we had found them earlier.
Description of Work: Momper removed the old insulation in our crawl space, re-insulated it, replaced the vapor barrier, and correct the work of a prior contractor to bring pipe insulation up to code.

Description of Work: We did have a bit of a hick-up but the Manager not only fixed the problem but gave a 14% discount, then came out to my home to inspect the job.We are very, very happy with the outcome. I'm 66 years old so I've been around the block a time or two. These guys were top notch....Dave G.

Description of Work: They added additional insulation for my attic and installed vents in my soffits since there was no venting in my attic. Everything was done to my liking and would definitely use them again in the future.

+ -1 moreOnly had one issue. The first time the installers were there, one of them accidently slipped and put a hole in our ceiling. Accidents happen and I have done the same thing trying to balance myself in tight attic spaces, just glad no one was hurt. Momper quickly had a contractor out the same day to look at the damage and the repair was completed within a week. The contractors were very professional, timely and willing to work with our schedules. The drywall/painting contractors were there four evenings in a row and early on Saturday morning to accommodate us.The ceiling looks great!!. probably better than before since they had to repaint it. Once the repairs Momper returned and completed the job.. We would definitely recommend Momper to others and use them again on future projects. .

+ -1 moreMomper arrived at scheduled time. Covered my stairs/hallway where their equipment was brought in and wore shoe coverings so as not to track through my home. They worked efficiently and when complete, had me accompany them into the attic for a full explanation of their services and what I could expect. After a winter season, I found my upstairs rooms were warmer/more cozy, my roof retained the snow (sign of good insulation), no more ice dams and best of all my utility bill reflected the additional insulation.
Description of Work: Momper subcontracts for Lowe's. My initial dealings were with Lowe's - they were great. Good response time, thorough evaluation, several recommendations to choose from, detailed explanation of contract. Momper delivered the insulation and installed it.

+ -1 moreGave estimates on base bid for attic ($725), garage option ($244), and roof vent option ($350) and clearly explained the benefits of each, if needed to be done now or could wait. I went ahead and had all three, because knew it hadn't been inspection in 10 years and wanted to control heating costs. Crew that came were quick and efficient. Very conscientious of keeping areas clean and answering my questions. Very professional.

+ -1 moreWork took less than 3 hours. Team arrived about 10-15 minutes before scheduled time, which was good because I knew temperatures would be hot in the afternoon. One team installed the roof vents and hoses and the main team of 2 men did the rest of the work. They did good job at clean up and answering my questions. They did have to borrow two light bulbs, but returned one and used the other to replace a light bulb in the garage ceiling.
Description of Work: Had estimate done in advance and was given 3 options and prices, depending upon how much I wanted done. To just do the house was $725. Installation of the two roof vents and hose would be $350, and insulating the garage ceiling and installing air deflectors would be $244. I opted to do all three. Installed blown wood fiber in house celing to add to existing insulation, and also in garage ceiling. Replaced cardboard air deflectors with foam deflectors with fiberglass batts. Installed flashing around recess lights and over drop soffits with recess lights. Installed two utility roof vents and attached two bathroom exhaust fans, using insulated flex hoses. Installed foam air deflectors at garage eaves. Wrapped all recess can lights, fireplace, furnace, and water heater flues with unfaced fiberglass batts. Installed cardboard around sides of lid and fiberglass over scuttle cover as needed.
