Shortly after moving into our home, we noticed that two of the septic infiltrators had been damaged when the landscaper graded the yard. We contacted Jeff about the situation but knew that nothing really could be done until spring. In the spring, we then noticed that the "hydro seeding" used for our lawn application didn't take and the grass didn't grow. In addition, the landscaper seemed to have pieced together an irrigation system using Rain bird heads for the front yard and another brand in the back. The irrigation system sprinkled our neighbors lawns but not our own. A couple of heads simply shot water straight up in the air. In addition, the paint began peeling off the doors due to a substandard paint job (the painter didn't use primer first). When we contacted Jeff about these problems, he directed us to the sub-contractors instead of contacting them himself. The landscaper simply would not return our calls but finally sent out two young men to adjust the sprinkler heads. They told us to wait on the grass to grow. As of this writing, May 29, we still do not have grass. Jeff sent the County Health Inspector out here to look at the septic damage and once he learned that the yard has to be dug up to replace the infiltrators, the landscaper wanted to fix the septic system himself. Jeff tried to tell us that the landscaper also does septic systems for his homes (even though he isn't licensed). The landscaper did finally call to to set an appointment with us about the damage to the septic but did not honor the appointment and never called after that. Jeff did send a salesman from the paint company to come and take a look at our doors because Jeff felt that the paint company sold him the wrong type of paint. The paint representative stated that the peeling paint was due to a poor paint job, i.e. lack of use of primer prior to applying the color. We have called Jeff several times concerning these situations and have still heard no response from him. On May 17, we forwarded a letter to him asking for a refund of the allowance for landscaping and irrigation, in addition to the charges we have had to incur for repairs of the septic system. As of this date (May 29) we still haven't heard from Jeff concerning a resolution. Unfortunately, it appears we are going to have to file legal charges in small claims court in order to receive a refund of the money we spent on these problems.
