GRANITECH

Granitech was always very professional in dealing with us, our only frustration was with their response time. I initially approached them about installing granite countertops in our kitchen and obtained some basic information (and pricing) about the installation and material that would be required to do the job. It took them 4 days to work up a quote and send it to me via email. In the meantime I had also sent measurements to a company in Chicago who sent the quote the next day. Their quote was $500 less than Granitetech and included a stainless steel sink (and installation). They were also running a special for an additional 5% discount off. I contacted Granitech and asked if they would match the price as we preferred to buy locally. I was told they would do the job for the same quoted price as the other company, but no mention was made of including the sink and installation of such. I emailed back asking if they would match the price of the other company and include the sink and installation. That was on Tuesday evening. I heard nothing Wednesday and then Thursday afternoon at 2:30 pm I received an email saying they will match the price and include the sink and installation. Unfortunately, when we did not hear from them on Wednesday we assumed they could not match the price and we committed to go with the company in Chicago. I have not doubt that Granitech probably does good work, it's just that their customer service could use some tweaking.
